Without doubt the best affordable hotel we’ve been to in Iceland! Amazing services, breakfast and location. There is a free private hot tube! Free high-quality coffee machine. Free northern lights wake up service. Free billiard table. The breakfast was absolutely number one out of all our Icelandic stays – huge variety of tasty and fresh meals! Hotel is located right next to the lake Mývatn, that makes it a great starting place for the exploration of entire Mývatn area. We had a beautiful room with big windows and a view right at the lake! Moreover, the staff was really friendly and sincerely tried to fulfil all our wishes and answer all our questions. We asked about one particular place in Husavik and a receptionist even offered us to call her friend in Husavik and ask her about that! Sel hotel was one of the highlights of our winter stays in Iceland. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we would surely come back again!

The hotel is an intimate oasis! Off the beaten path, with priceless views of the lake and mountains. The lakeside room, lounge and restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had the mushroom pasta and it was so light and fluffy-delicious. Check in was very special because Namoi helped us to upgrade our room for a minimal cost $20.00 so worth it!

Rimasi lì come famiglia per quattro notti e le due ragazze che stava correndo in questo posto dove così ospite. Il loro servizio era molto buono.Abbiamo una bambina di 19 mesi e siamo venuti un po' presto, li chiamavamo e chiese un check-in precoce. Nessun problema. Quando siamo arrivati quasi tutto era pronto con un letto dei bambini e tutto. La nostra figlia è allergica alle uova e al latte e ci hanno fatto colazione. Io stesso ho mangiato il buffet e era davvero buono! Il letto era buono e la stanza che abbiamo trovato era separata dal palazzo principale, aveva un bacino e un tavolo. Ci sono due bagni, con doccia, tutto pulito e una piccola cucina dove potresti cucinare, tenere il cibo in frigorifero e mangiare a tavola. Ho promesso di comprare una nuova, ma l'ho completamente dimenticata. Ho raccomandato questo posto, soprattutto se avete figli. Lasciate che lo sappiano prima e che si prendano cura di voi.

UUtente ospiteQuesta era una delle mie soggiorni preferite in Islanda. L'appartamento era molto spazioso, organizzato, pulito e ben attrezzato. Il proprietario aveva una buona comunicazione sul check-in/out. Mi piaceva la posizione remota. Sarebbe una buona base per il tour in quella zona. Rimaneremmo qui. E le viste! Che bella, tranquilla sede. Il mio unico piccolo suggerimento sarebbe di aggiungere direzioni per coloro di noi che non hanno mai usato il tipo di forno/forno e lavatrice/asciugatrice. Sono sicuro che sia semplice per la maggior parte, ma un passo per passo per quelli sarebbe bello.

Some rooms overlook the lake at the front whereas mine was almost an interior room with no view at all (room 226) so try and get a front looking one if possible. Friendly staff and also a great breakfast. Highly recommended

Sst72camera grande e pulita, a disposizione una vasca idro ma noi non l'abbiamo utilizzata, colazione semplice ma variegata..è importante trovare strutture che danno la colazione, perchè in queste zone non si trova niente se non un supermercatino....purtroppo arrivati alle 20.30 non ci hanno fatto cenare, e non c'era altro in paese per cui abbiamo mangiato una fettina di pane con un po di salame con vista su una bellissima cascata....il buio praticamente non c'è per cui si possono visitare location fino a tardi ,ma organizzatevi bene per la cena.

UUtente ospiteSituato a circa 60 km dal lago Myvatn, si trova un ospedale buono. Si controlla in un posto, ma si può soggiornare in un complesso a circa 6 km. Le camere sono di buona dimensione e hanno bagni privati. Anche molto più economico di quello nella zona del lago Myvatn. Il proprietario è utile. Il complesso dove sono rimasto è una buona cucina e sala riunioni. A differenza della dichiarazione di Booking, c'è una buona opzione per colazione che è buona a un costo aggiuntivo. È un posto solitario sulla lunga trama di Hwy 1 che si dirige a est del lago Myvatn.

JjohanienDopo aver dormito in una tenda intorno all'Islanda settentrionale per due notti con pioggia, mio marito e io abbiamo bisogno di un letto per un cambiamento. Abbiamo prenotato questo posto 2 anni fa e sapevamo già cosa aspettare: ostello con bagno condiviso, WC e cucina, 2 bunker di letti per camera. Il posto può essere un po' alto al pieno occupato perché le pareti e i pavimenti sono sottili. Ma per la maggior parte, era tranquillo. La parte migliore dell'edificio era la zona di cena. Fatta di grandi finestre di vetro dove si vede il sole e la natura. È un ottimo hotel in Islanda. È stato il miglior alloggio di bilancio che abbiamo avuto durante il nostro viaggio. Un'osservazione speciale per il receptionista polacco, Malvena. Anche con la lunga coda davanti a lei, serviva con professionalità ogni cliente, ci ha dato un buon lavoro con la stanza, anche come camminare in clienti.
