My mother & I traveled to Mookambika temple, Kollur for a Chandika Homam. We stayed at Mahalakshmi Residency for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay throughly. From the hotel staff to the staff at the floor restaurant, everyone went out of there way to making our stay a pleasant one. Special mention should also made of the establishment. Upkeep or maintenance is of a high caliber. Bathroom fixtures, AC, fabric all look new. Rooms are clean, bright lighting and well appointed. Proximity to the temple is a special mention.

Sono un frequente visitatore del tempio di Kollur Mookambika, è uno dei luoghi più tranquilli. Ho soggiornato in poche altre proprietà a Kollur, ma devo dire, questo posto è uno dei migliori beni mantenuti a Kollur. Molto pulita e buona igiene mantenuta. Il servizio del personale è molto apprezzato anche se avevano un minimo di personale durante la pandemia. Ci siamo trasferiti per 2 giorni e l'hotel ha organizzato il nostro viaggio di viaggio a Kodachadri e pochi templi intorno. È stato organizzato colazione per noi su richiesta. Certamente visiterà di nuovo.

We loved our stay at Jyoti Residency. Will definitely recommend anyone going there to stay there. Spacious clean rooms and close to the temple. Very few hotels out there who can provide the services like them. We were lucky to get 2 rooms there as someone had cancelled by the time we got in to their hotel around 9.30pm. Scouted a dozen hotels in and around the area but did not find any clean and tidy for a family of 4 to stay. Out of desperation, would have ended up taking some lodge hadn't I tried my luck at Jyoti Residency. Always suggest everyone to book hotels before going to such places. We had gone during Ugadi so almost all hotels were completely booked for the night. Would like to thank Biju and his team at the reception desk who were helpful throughout our stay and always wore a smile. Would like to specially call out to Tikko (housekeeping staff) who got my severe bout of shivering to a halt with his hand and leg massage and Reji Annan (their in-house driver) who drove me all the way to the nearby hospital that is 30kms away (Adarsha Hospital, Kundapura Highway) at around 1am in the night and got me back to the room safely by 3.30am. I'm really happy that there are such good people in this friendly temple town who goes out of their way to help you (something that was missing in our previous day stay in an overhyped Cafe, Gokarna).

This is the third time we have stayed here. The first time was on the way to Kollur, but the other two times, this was a destination in itself. Mr Suresh extends a warm welcome and is on top of everything, making for a most pleasant and comfortable stay. The people working there are friendly and food is awesome. Friendly dogs, a huge swing tied to a tree, a small hill to climb nearby and darkest skies in the night are some of the highlights. Go to place for us.
