This Hotel DEFIES every definition you know about a decent hotel. It can be called Guest house or cheap Homestay but not a Hotel. Here are reasons why. - No proper reception, there is one small toilet size room where Reception is. - Hotel Manager (while I appreciate it) does multiple jobs like Receptionist / Manager / Makes tea during breakfast and many others. - Coming to most important aspect Rooms, rooms walls are plastered with Artificial Lawns and floor clad with cheap red carpet, this give dungee feeling like not other. - Most unique thing is floor has Slope of almost 20-30 degrees, if it was little more you can almost slide through the room. - Another unique thing rooms do not have ceiling fans, it has a wall mounted fan on wall just besides TV. - Door closing knobs are broken, poor / rusted paint job, not extra points for mobile charging. - Only recreational activity they have is a Pool table with Missing balls and broken cues, Room which pool table is flooded with extra dirty Mattresses on back with very little space to play. - You will be met with bunch of garbage on your way to Room. Only one star I will give here for decent food they served. Don't be fooled by photos they have put up or reviews by local guides. Look at photos and decide for yourself if you wish to stay here.

The stay was very pleasant. Mayank was very helpful. Food was delicious. Despite it being holi they were able to give us hot food. The view from the room was beautiful. You could the river flowing and there is a staircase leading to the river where we sat and chilled for some time. Overall a beautiful stay. Loved it. Everything else was lovely. There was just one problem, the number present on the mmt website was not functional and went unanswered so we could not contact the property in advance. Rest everything was comfortable.

We stayed at Pratiksha Himalayan Retreat only for a night, during our multi-destination tour of Uttarakhand. We reached there in the afternoon, when it started drizzling. But inside, the room was warm and full of comfort, which is an extremely important factor to enjoy the visit to a place that sees extreme cold weather. It was particularly a relief for us, as we reached there just after experiencing an uncomfortable stay in Nainital for 3 days. The weather was crystal clear in the next morning, and the mountain view that we enjoyed is beyond any description. Unforgettable. This hotel is an ideal place to watch the mountain show. Food was very nice. People are courteous. What else could we expect? If I visit Kausani again, I will prefer staying here again.

We enjoyed a great stay at uttarakhand resort in first week of april 24. We booked two rooms in this property. The rooms are very spacious with balcony and maintained properly. Ms janki at reception is very well behaved and took the care of all our needs. The food at garden restaurant was very tasty and delicious. The overall experience was very nice and in future we will also stay stay at this property.

The stay was very comfortable. The hotel has a great view from each and every room. You can see the himalayan range right from your bed. The staff has very good behaviour, and they helped us in arranging taxi. The only issue was there was no food arrangements in the hotel, we had to go out for dinner in the cold weather. Otherwise it was a great stay.
