Tutto è andato prima, durante il tempo di controllo, invece di una stanza a tempo pieno, siamo stati controllati nella stanza della regina, ma dopo aver parlato con la signora del desk front, è stato ordinato.

A very nice apartment and lovely staff! Granted us early checkin the day before arrival and just overall accommodating. Staff were easy enough to contact about any problems, having travelled with prams it was easy enough to manoeuvre them up and down the stairs to the room on first floor. A lovely and clean apartment fitted with refreshments and smart tvs in each room. The sofa bed was very comfortable as were all the others. Would highly recommend these apartments to anyone, very family friendly setting! With a park across the road, an arcade just 5 minutes and the tram stop just outside with a little cafe it was the perfect location especially with young children

Where do I begin! Myself and my husband booked a 4 night illuminations break costing £550 including an early check -in and sea view. We were never told what time the early check-in was but we arrived about 12.10 the receptionist called Laura needs a lesson or 2 in customer relations we never got a “Good afternoon welcome to The Doric” just a miserable face telling us we could not check in until 1pm, fair enough I asked what time it was and her answer was 12.17 I said thats precise and I got a very obnoxious reply it’s what it says on the computer!!!! Finally we got the key to the room. We got told by the miserable Laura the lift on our side was not working and we had to use the lift behind the reception what a performance that was it’s not a lift more like a lazy betty lift talk about small. Let’s talk about finding your room, bearing in mind we had to walk to the other end of the hotel with a suitcase and bags it was like the Hampton Court maze in and out of doors, going up steps, strange signs telling you numbers it’s a good job we are able to walk because believe me the older generation like us who cannot walk without a frame would be in dire straits. The room - it was awful creaking floorboards, a horrible smell and a sea view what a joke. Room changed after a complaint. Another 15 minutes in the lift wandering through smelly corridors. Finally a sea view we asked for not a view of the sea by a corner of your eye and they have the cheek to take your money and say it’s a sea view. The dining room - first night was horrendous, staff very slow, no idea where people were sitting and all in all a very bad experience. The Tuesday morning we were put in the Cumbernauld suite it was like attending a wake no atmosphere, just little tables dotted around, a couple turned round and said welcome to the naughty room ! It was like we were just dumped in there due to 2 large coach parties…it didn’t last long I complained and we were put back into the main dining room. The food - inedible, horrible choices and not the standard I would I expect from a 3* hotel. Last night we were so fed up we ate out. My husband ordered a salmon he had to wait 25minutes for it to be brought to our table, my meal was brought 25minutes before his and the salmon was dry, tough and horrible. The pasta with the meatballs looked very anaemic and rubbery I had to opt for a freezing Cold salad with one piece of cucumber. All in all a horrible 5 days stay. Will never return. The management need to get the lift mended. Why has it been out of order for months ? Can you afford to get it mended ? Get the food choices amended, one night Cumberland sausage was on the menu why when you have sausage for breakfast? Please don’t say we have thousands of good reviews maybe you do but a few of your regulars told me they aren’t coming back they have seen it go downhill very quickly. Please sort it or you will start having more reviews like mine.
