Based on the cleanliness, comfort of the bed and size of the room this review would be 5*. Unfortunately the noise from the room above means I can't write a 5* review. We stayed for 2 nights, we went to our room early as we were exhausted. The noise started around 7pm, with 4 hours of children's running up and down the above room. The parents made no attempt to stop the awful thudding noise they were causing. The ceiling light flickered with the vibration. The banging stopped for a while and returned for another burst around midnight, followed by crying. Now I understand children like to run but my goodness I had never experienced anything like this. The 2nd night was better, we only had to endure about 2 hours of thudding noise. The night porter was nowhere to be seen. We ate in the pub and had a carvery, it was ok, meat was good but i had to remove a lot of fat, the veg was a mix of undercooked (cauliflower and cabbage mix) and burnt (mixed roast veg and roast potatoes) The pub gardens were lovely to sit in, we sat in one of the gazebos in the rain, which was really peaceful.

Dopo Madness ha finito l'unico bar aperto è il bar dell'hotel, perché il show è finito 10.00 tempo di casa e ti vogliono fuori se non ti fermi all'hotel, che è buono, ma se ti fermi all'hotel come molti di noi erano , il bar era pieno, sono stati colpiti così, naturalmente, la gente voleva sedersi fuori perché ci sono tavoli per l'hotel fuori ma la sicurezza era stata detto di non lasciare nessuno fuori con bere, quanto stupido è questo, capisco che vuoi chiudere il corso di gara, Quindi devi limitare le persone a usare l'hotel se non sono qui, e non essere invidioso e prendere i soldi delle persone sapendo che sarai 60 persone più in una zona di bar, piccola cosa come covdi accade qualche anno fa dovresti solo servire l'hotel E aiutare il povero bar staff, giovane ragazza da sola, blocca camminando con 3/4 pinti non pagano e lei non può cacciarli da sola. I Ps non si sono fermati per colazione troppo costoso, io andavo, ma anche se aveva aumentato un po' il prezzo, ma ricordato che era freddo l'ultima volta che ci siamo fermati.

JUST WOW! We booked our wedding with only 7 weeks untill the big day due to a sudden family illness. The team were outstanding from start to finish, not a single ounce of worry or stress, everything ran smoothly from the day we met the team u till the day after the wedding when we checked out. Our wedding was extremely emotional and the small touches of compassionate leadership and genuine care and attention were wonderful ! It will be a day I’ll never forget. The end of the evening I had a small chat with Dan who managed our wedding and he has such a big heart and it is evident how passionate he is about making every couples day special! If I could do this day all over again I would in a heartbeat. Amazing organisation gorgeous food and a beautiful venue all round! The bridal suite was stunning ! What a day 4.8.24 😍

We recently hosted a 20th Anniversary Ball at the Mount Hotel. This event was booked 12 months ago and we had an initial meeting with Sabrina, the Sales and Events coordinator. From the onset she has been brilliant and always available to discuss our requirements. We cannot thank her enough for her hard work ensuring our evening went according to plan. We had a number of changes during the planning stages and these were dealt with efficiently. The event itself was a huge success and this is down to hosting it at such a beautiful venue. The food served on the evening was perfect, everyone's individual dietary requirements were adhered to perfectly. It was served hot, which is difficult to achieve when there are 120 guests, but it was no problem for the staff at the Mount. On the evening we were looked after by Siri. He ensured that the evening ran smoothly. His timing for all things was perfect and we were kept informed of everything. We cannot thank him enough. We have nothing but praise to the staff at the Mount Hotel. If you are thinking of booking any sort of celebration event I would highly recommend them.

Cannot praise this hotel and staff enough. All of the staff during our stay were exceptional in their customer approach, friendly and helpful throughout. We (four adults) stayed in the Molinoux Suite, which was perfect for our stay with a nice ”small lounge” area where we could sit and socialise. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had lunchtime drinks and a meal in Hamiltons, which was delicious and very reasanable. The cocktails were very good. The location is perfect for town and a £5 taxi journey to either the station or to the horse racetrack.
