Went down for the Welsh rugby with my mate. Room was great, plenty of room and the beds were lovely. View was possibly the best in Cardiff, overlooking the river and the principality. Was about 5 showers with toilets , then another 5 toilets on their own which were always very clean. Would definitely recommend, considering the price was very reasonable too, will look to stay there again if I go back down to Cardiff.

This was chosen for a special Birthday meal Prior to a concert in Cardiff . We all live in Cardiff but had friends visiting from away. OMG !!!!! Where do I start !!!! We arrived , you can’t open a tab whilst dining at the table and don’t have drinks service whilst dining. 0k fine ! It was 4 pm on. Friday afternoon and there may have been two others tables occupied. After choosing our dishes all but one weren’t available . The menu is very limited anyway but hey ho we all ended up having a choice of two meals . The starters arrived and were adequate. When the mains were brought to the table our starters had not been cleared . When we asked the young waiter if he could please clear our table , his response was ‘sorry I ve not had time , I’ve been on the bins ‘ Hopefully he washed his hands 🙌 I am not fussy and eat anything, I had ordered a cheese burger with Jalapeños etc. The burger must have been cooked previously, wouldn’t suprise mr if it was days prior and bunged in the microwave. We had never seen anything like it . Must be the first meal I have not eaten in a restaurant. It was cold , the slice of cheese was transparent and the cheese was like rubber . The burger was hard , cold and certainly cooked previously. I have never experienced anything like it . Yes , I should have complained, being a birthday & friends from Spain I didn’t want to make a fuss. The whole time in the venue sat adjacent to the bar were two members of staff , we assumed managers . I have never seen anything so unprofessional, at one point when I was at the bar , the bar staff had disappeared so she left her post and was then discussing with the bar man where they had been 🤯🤦‍♀️ Being a Cardiff resident , our whole table was shocked and disappointed beyond belief In such a beautiful city and an affluent location how can staff think this is acceptable.

Lovely apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Cardiff. Friendly staff and only 5 minutes from the city centre.

Came to stay for the weekend as we come to Cardiff every year for the Speedway GP - meaning the location was perfect for us. My fiancé dealt with the booking and was advised we could park on the opposite side of the road. We paid to park for the Saturday and on the way to the Speedway saw that our car had a parking ticket - the ticket officers advised us to move the car or it would be towed. This caused a lot of worry and distress as we were then late to the Speedway after having to find an alternative space, pay for more parking and quickly walk back - not ideal. It would have been nice to have been told - hotel would know as it happens every year. When coming back that night we saw lots of other cars that also had tickets. We are not familiar with the area or the parking restrictions. Other than that, our room was comfortable and clean and good as a base for the weekend. Would have been nice to have had some hand soap as a basic necessity. Rooms are small but we didn't mind this. Would have rated higher if it wasn't for the parking situation but just frustrated with it all.

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family and I can't complain. The staff were amazing, Simona was incredibly accommodating and picked me an amazing meal on my first night because I couldn't decide what to have. The room is exactly what I needed, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced for 2 nights. It's not luxurious, but who needs that? I don't go away to spend my time in a hotel room. I will definitely stay again, and recommended it to all of my friends in case they have visitors in Cardiff too. Thankyou.

Ho appena soggiornato con mio figlio, il mio amico e la figlia, e abbiamo avuto un piacevole soggiorno. Non sono sicuro di come il letto da divano doveva funzionare, ma non importava, eravamo felici di usare solo i letti che sono così comodi! La suite è dotata di un frigo, una microonde, piastrelle, cutter, muffole, occhiali, una selezione di tè e snack e un latte fresco complimentare nel frigo! Il bagno era brillante con pulizie pulite, asciugamani da usare e, nonostante fosse nel centro di Cardiff, non ci ha disturbato un solo rumore dall'esterno tutta la notte - tutti dormivamo molto bene. Anche la temperatura della stanza sembrava perfettamente pianificata - nessuno di noi era mai troppo caldo o troppo freddo!! Oh e perfino, ma non meno, il WiFi funziona brillantemente! Steve era molto amichevole e utile, soprattutto perché avevamo qualche malcomunicazione con la nostra prenotazione. Non esitarei a raccomandare l'Inn Cardiff e rimarrò certamente qui. È la posizione perfetta - un lancio di pietra da Bute e dal centro. Grazie per un ottimo soggiorno!

I needed a place to stay after Bruce Springsteen show in Cardiff and naturally every hotel in the city raised their prices to ridiculous amounts. Austin Guest House was no exception but Austin Guest House was the only place I could afford. However I was disgusted to pay £255 for a dirty mouldy single basement room with no window, no shower, and no toilet, it was NOT worth the money. It's 30 seconds away from the stadium which is the only good thing about it and maybe the other rooms are nice but mine was disgusting. The room absolutely reeked of damp and **** and pee. I don't think it had been cleaned since the last person stayed there. As a solo female traveller I felt very unsafe that the guesthouse is completely unstaffed. There is nobody working onsite to check you in or deal with concerns, there is no security for any of the rooms. And with no working lock in the shared bathroom, and flimsy locks on the bedroom doors I felt extremely unsafe. Speaking of the shared bathroom - shower is covered in black mould and there was no toilet paper for a toilet to be shared by rooms on the ground and basement floors. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everyone snoring, shouting, arguing, puking all night long. I know that hotels raise their price during event days at the stadium and you might feel like this is your only option, but maybe see if you can sleep in the train station, it would be preferable and likely safer than this
