Very friendly staff. Hotel appeared newly painted in various areas. Our room was of a good size, very clean and comfortable with large on suite facility. The dinning room / bar facility was comfortable and had a good atmosphere. The dinner menu was limited but reasonably priced and well cooked. The Continental breakfast was a good spread of various options. There is ample free parking on the road outside the hotel and approximately 12 spaces at the rear of the hotel. Overall our stay was a pleasant experience.

In generale, questo è un bel hotel, dietro un fronte molto inaspettabile.La nostra camera (camera 1) era grande e confortevole. La parte interna dell'hotel dove si trovano le camere sembra essere stata ristrutturata o riparata molto recentemente, perché tutto era pulito e intelligente. Le camere sono dotate di un stile molto elegante, con un sacco di legno intorno. C'è un classico ”sala” che guarda sul primo piano. Il personale era tutti amichevole. C'è un parcheggio (pagabile) a soli due minuti a piedi. L'hotel è in una grande posizione. Un paio di *******, quindi il 4 stelle ... colazione non era davvero buono. Il prezzo della camera include un ”continentale” colazione, che è tosta, croissant, una scelta di due o tre cereali, ham, formaggio, succo di frutta e tè o caffè. E' davvero molto minimalista, e per il prezzo della camera mi aspettavo un miglior colazione. Si', puoi pagare per piatti caldi o un colazione cucinata, preparata nella deli che è la porta accanto, ma fa parte dello stesso stabilimento, e sono sicuro che sia molto buona. Ma non dovresti pagare. stranamente non c'è un menu sulle tavole, solo nella camera da letto. Tutto sembrava molto strano, soprattutto perché vedo che ci sono passate recensioni che criticano il colazione. Ma non è stato. Ripeto che altri commenti dicono la stessa cosa. Non so se mai serviranno le stanze, o solo raramente. Non ci è stato detto in anticipo che la stanza non sarebbe stata costruita. Non era una grande questione, ma sembrava di nuovo strano. Ma oltre a questi due negativi, consiglierei a Falstaff di un luogo confortevole e ben situato per rimanere per una visita a Ramsgate.

Mi aspettavo un breve soggiorno a Ramsgate, e da quello che ho letto all'Hotel Royal Oak, pensavo di essere in un trattamento. Come sbagliato ero. Al mio arrivo nella mia stanza c'era acqua intorno alla base della lavastoviglie nella doccia. L'ho mostrato alla manager e lei ha spiegato che non poteva essere guardato in quel giorno, ma qualcuno lo avrebbe guardato il giorno dopo, le tovaglie erano state messe sul pavimento per spruzzare il bagno. Ma nessuno è venuto quando ero lì e le tovalette sono rimaste sul pavimento per il soggiorno. È raro che nessuno sia stato in ricezione, gli ospiti si aspettano di fare una chiamata per far venire qualcuno a vedere - perché il mio cellulare non funzionava, rendendo impossibile quella chiamata. Una mattina ho ordinato colazione, per cui dovevo andare al bar vicino all'hotel. Il colazione era molto piccolo e molto costoso per quello che era - oltre 10 sterline, più caffè, quando avevo chiesto il costo inizialmente mi è stato detto che sarebbe stato 8 sterline (Vorrei andare a Wetherspoons). Durante il mio soggiorno la mia stanza non era servita, anche se avevo lasciato un'etichetta di ”servizio la mia stanza” sulla mia porta per due giorni. Il giorno della partenza, come al solito nessuno era in ricezione, quindi nessuno spiegava le mie gru. In equità, quando sono arrivato, mi è stato spiegato che c’erano personale scheletrico, ma avrei pagato il costo totale della stanza, che, considerando che non c’era colazione, non era economico, quindi mi aspettavo almeno di aver fatto il letto e di aver svuotato il cappello. La posizione è grande e l'hotel è molto pulito, ma sono tutti i positivi che posso dire su questo hotel.

We had a five night stay at The Yarrow and we had a wonderful time. Although it is a historic building it was well maintained, bright and airy and super clean. All staff were super friendly and helpful but also very professional at the same time. We felt very relaxed. Our room was spotless and bright with plenty of room and we also had a view of the sea. The bed was so comfortable! We did have a couple of niggles with the room - nothing too problematic but worthy of a mention. The pillows were new (as I discovered) and too hard for us. I asked if there were any softer ones available but sadly there wasn't. Having a pillow choice would be beneficial. The bathroom, whilst spotless and cleaned thoroughly every day - could benenfit from some shelving. There was only one very small shelf with no room for wash bags or toiletries. We had to store ours in the top of the wardrobe... It was also a little bizaar entering a bathroom through double doors. Not sure if all rooms have this but it was a first for us. Lovely soft fresh towels too! Breakfast was a delight. It was buffet style with hot and cold options and there was plenty to choose from. You do have the option of ordering specials from a menu too. A very relaxed atmosphere and lovely waiting staff on hand if you needed anything. We were surprised that you have to get your own teas and coffee from a machine though. Not great and not sure why they don't offer fresh tea and coffee brought to your table. This is something I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. If like us you like to leave the car behind and take a break from driving - it is a short 5 minute walk into Broadstairs itself or you can catch the Loop bus right outside the hotel. The Loop bus is a convenient way of getting around the local area which doesn't cost the earth either. There is a large car park at the hotel but you do run the gauntlet of cars and people at certain times of the day, mainly between 8.30 and 9 am and 4.30 to 6pm. The hotel is adjacent to the local college and at the far end of the car park is a childcare nursery. They all share the same vehicular entrance so it does get very busy with students and cars coming and going. Would we recommend The Yarrow. In a word - yes!

We had a fab stay at Ebenezers last week. Neil and his wonderful team really looked after us. With Neil this place is his passion and so he wants everyone to have the best of stays. If you like quirky, comfortable and friendly look no further than this establishment for your stay in Broadstairs. We stayed in the Beach room. Ebenezers is centrally located, it’s very clean and with a roll top bath to soak in a bathroom gorgeously tiled and then a comfy king sized bed to enjoy a good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We so enjoyed Darcy and Molly, Neil’s little dogs whose antics kept us entertained. We will definitely be back soon . Broadstairs is a hidden gem with lots of lovely restaurants to try. Sardinia was a real favourite of ours.

Plenty of possitves including comfortable refurbished room in good location with sea views. Breakfast had good options including gluten free and vegan. Staff at breakfast also very accommodating. On the down side there was no fridge in the room. You get given some milk in a flask but it goes off, and you have to keep going to reception for refills. We found the bed a bit hard and the pillows even harder. The bathroom floor tiles were very dirty. The biggest issues was not having hot water over our 4 day stay. After notifying reception the first time we were told a new boiler had been installed and to wait a while. That made no difference at all, an experience repeated on the many times we raised it with staff. We were repeatedly told the issue had been resolved, or to try running the tap for longer, or to wait until latet. On complaining more firmly we were told an engineer would be called and that ”something would be done to our bill”. This made no difference and no adjustment to our bill was made. I appreciate problems sometimes occur but we were never given an explanation and we never felt we were being taken seriously. Given how much we paid, not being able to shower properly for our whole stay was unacceptable. Sadly we would look at alternatives if we revisit Broadstairs.
