Siamo arrivati molto tardi sabato sera, abbiamo comprato questo soggiorno come regalo per Natale comprando un regalo, abbiamo effettivamente pagato un extra di 100 sterline per un soggiorno più lussuoso. L’esterno del pub è bellissimo, il giardino della birra e il bar all’aperto sembrano affascinanti (non abbiamo mangiato o bevuto qui perché l’abbiamo usato come base, come abbiamo passato la maggior parte del tempo a Whitby) Il ristorante stesso non sembrava affascinante e non sarebbe stato affascinante. è stato un posto dove abbiamo scelto di mangiare. La stanza era un po' deludente, considerando che abbiamo pagato un'altra cosa migliore. Molti polveri e cobbè, formati sul quadro della finestra e sulle cuscinette del sedile della finestra. I pezzi di pittura sono stati rimossi dalle pareti, l'intera stanza può solo fare un sollevamento. Non c'è una calda macchina per il caffè (penso che potresti ottenere acqua calda da questo, ma non l'ho usata) abbiamo avuto una doccia nel nostro bagno, che la coperta che stai su era tutto rotta e sembrava che fosse stata cercata di essere riparata (non grande) Era buono per quello che avevamo bisogno, abbiamo dormito bene e il letto era pulito ma purtroppo non è dove andremmo a tornare.

Though a bit remote, Raithwaite Sandsend provided a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of larger cities. Sandsend and Whitby are within walking distance (though the latter is a good 30 minute walk; a taxi is best). Several seaside paths are within 15 minutes of the hotel. The hotel grounds are lovely as is the staff who were very polite and friendly. All meals we ate the hotel were excellent. I enjoyed the common areas with various types of seating, games and fireplaces. The bar lacks character and warmth, unlike most other areas of the hotel. If the seating and decor is changed, I suspect it would make a world of difference.

We have just returned from our second stay at Mulgrave and once again we were so impressed and would not change a thing! The room was absolutely spotless (and with an inquisitive 1 year old staying with us you nest believe she ended up in every nook and cranny!), the bed very comfy and the tea and coffee facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was once again delicious and the perfect size too. The choice of fruit and yogurt is a really nice extra touch too. The grounds are beautiful, the location perfect to both walk in to Sandsend and to drive to neighbouring towns. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. We will absolutely be returning for a third time l!
