After waiting almost 9 months to get away for our honeymoon, we certainly had higher expectations. The grounds of breadsall are beautiful but sadly for our experience that is really where it stopped. The bedroom was very tatty and looked very unloved - wallpaper peeling and a large empty space by the window (the pictures on the website show beautiful green chairs) we managed to locate the ”restaurant” for our evening meal, what chaos!! Apparently the restaurant is having a refurb - we were not advised of this - so we were plonked in the bar for dinner....along with what seemed liked a hundred golfers - the setting and noise was like being at a Hollywood bowl party! There was clearly a staff shortage too, the serving staff were running here there and everywhere and we had to wait a very long time for the menu and for our food. Such a shame as the food was fantastic. Our night was ok, but for a few disturbances. It might be helpful at check in to remind residents of the ”quiet times”. We were hoping for a little lie in but was startled at 7.15am when the housekeeper let herself in to our room whilst we were sleeping.....never ever have we experienced that before. Now breakfast was tasty, and in a much nicer setting than the bar..... however, I wasn't so impressed that we had to lay our own table, the milk jug was also empty.....when we requested some milk my husband got a 4pint of milk plonked down to help yourself......I guess refilling the milk jug was too much effort. Off to the spa (the treatment rooms ”spa” is tiny separate from the hotel and pool and is very basic. It's very odd the spa being outside - it's all a strange layout..... walking through the bar in my dressing gown to get to the pool got some funny looks too) The treatment was very good, just a shame about the refurb building works.....workmen hammering and talking really spoilt the relaxation experience. Hopefully our second night will be more relaxing, although it's a good job we checked what time our evening meal was booked for tonight as it apparently had not been booked....not sure how that is possible when you book a 2 night spa package. My closing thoughts are that Breadsall really should have notified guest that works were taking place (and the impact this would have) we would certainly have chosen an alternative hotel spa to enjoy our much awaited honeymoon. We have stayed in a number of different Marriott spa hotels over the years and sadly breadsall has a lot to learn in terms of luxury and service. Overall a big disappointment and certainly not the experience we have come to expect from a Marriott Spa Hotel.

Trovato questo hotel come un fermo da Devon a Northumberland. Benvenuto ricevimento e personale amichevole in tutte le aree. Ho chiesto una zona di hotel e la richiesta è stata concessa! Avevamo una camera (premium) aggiornata in modo che non possiamo parlare altro che su questo! Piacere di decorare con condimento d'aria. Camera confortevole e cuscinetti. Pulizia. Un cassaforte in cassaforte e un piccolo frigorifero con acqua, coke, crisp e cioccolato complimentare per i membri! Un caffè macchina e caffè e tè istantaneo. La doccia è molto buona, l'unica cosa negativa è la doccia è molto piccola, soprattutto la zona della toletta! Abbiamo avuto un buono per un drink complimentare dal bar che non abbiamo usato, ma al ricevimento mattina abbiamo detto di poter ottenere un take away che era un bel gesto. C'era un buon colazione con abbastanza molto tutto a disposizione, tra cui una zona separata per glutine gratis! Un parco auto molto grande ha finito questa piacevole overnight. Torneremo come fare questo viaggio poche volte all'anno. Continua a fare quello che stai facendo..... Stai facendo bene!Grazie

If you need a convenient stop on the M1 and don't mind traffic noise, then this is the place to be. Go to M&S 30 seconds away and get the calamari. Parking is perfect and rooms are clean. We only paid £51.99 for 2 adults and a teenager for Friday to Saturday. Check out at lunchtime.

Non c'è davvero una bottiglia d'acqua nella stanza. La dimensione della stanza era abbastanza buona. L'acqua calda era buona. La ricezione era buona. Il tessuto era troppo vecchio per essere pulito. Il riscaldamento non era così efficace che non era meglio di niente. Camera situata a un altro livello che si sente perso nei corridoi 😅

We travelled to Derby to visit family with our 3 year old daughter. We decided for the first tike ever that we would stay in a hotel. We'll We were not disappointed! The rooms were clean and of a good standard, beds comfy and shower was lovely! Staff were very helpful and friendly especially a lady called Denise 🙂. There's a greggs and a garage next door and the carpark if free! Will definitely be returning, thank you!
