Prenotato un soggiorno via 2-night Booking.com. Tra i due, hanno sbagliato la prenotazione, quindi solo una persona non aveva abbassato la prenotazione, quindi l'hotel ha deciso di cambiare la stanza e di abbassarla, quindi ha avuto l'audacia di pagare un 50% extra per quello che avevamo già pagato. A causa della sua disponibilità a metà termine e della sua disponibilità a un matrimonio, non avevamo scelta, ma solo di farlo o di perdere il matrimonio. Più strano, dato che i miei amici avevano prenotato una stanza identica a quella che ci avevano lasciato, ma pagato molto meno. L'hotel stesso era pulito e si trova in una posizione fantastica, ma è incredibilmente vecchio e antiquato. Il letto era incomodo, il tessuto aveva fori in esso, il cellulare era riempito in posti, il bagno era riempito per 30 minuti e la doccia faceva un rumore come un aereo a jet che stava andando nel corridoio (la pressione dell'acqua era terribile). Inoltre, non ho visto un ingoio nel dormitorio piuttosto che nel bagno dal 70s. In generale, una bella esperienza disgustosa per dire il meno e da qualche parte mi assicurerò di informare le persone per evitare.

When I booked this ( through the well known booking portal)I knew it was going to be very budget but it was within my price range for one nights stay so I ****** it up. How wrong I could be . On arrival there was no parking as stated on the booking however put my van on a side street no issues. I was greeted in the hotel by a lady called Becky who I believe is the manager she kindly offered my to park my van in side entrance if I wanted . She took me to my room and ok so it was basic but goodness whoever is the cleaning housekeeping staff needs commending , my room & bathroom were spotless . Comfortable bed nice warm room had everything I needed. I went to the local Wetherspoon for food which I have to say was excellent. I got a nice glass of wine back at the hotel had a nice chat to Becky. Booked a breakfast which was cooked by herself… again amazing full English no complaints whatsoever again everything clean and well presented & only £7.00!! I cannot fault the hotel for what I paid and if I’m working in the area again I will definitely return . I hope the owner see this and appreciated the hard work Becky does as she really is hands on and keeps everything running smoothly

The location of the hotel is fantastic-town centre, in front of the beach, sea view. Parking is alright, at the back yard. Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful, let us in 1 hour prior to official check in time. Soundproofing is good, didn’t hear our neighbours. Breakfast was lavish, fresh and tasty. In this property location sells itself. The building is tired, but luckily maintained. Curtains in the room are crying to be washed, dust is not wiped for days (if not weeks), tv was very stinky and not working, our bed was small and short for two of us (queen size I believe), water pressure in shower was too weak, carpets with all the possible stains, same as sofa, very unpleasant; waited for our breakfast for more than half an hour (though I received my vegetarian breakfast as I requested in my booking), coffee was only instant. I think, one night stay was too pricey for what it has, but overall impression is still rather good. Summary - if you want a good location with easy access to the Clacton city centre and the beach - here you go, just don’t expect a lot

Ogni anno abbiamo la stessa stanza. Prima era un arredamento disgustoso, quest'anno si è fatto un vero sforzo e si è trovato molto comodo, eccetto per la ventilazione. Le due finestre possono essere aperte solo cinquanta millimetri e non c'è aria condizionata. Il ventilatore fornito ha un po' di sollievo, ma era ancora incomodo durante il tempo caldo, il colazione richiede al personale di agire per mantenere cibo e liquidi alti è necessario provvedere equilibrato, Per esempio, non tutte le marmalades un giorno e tutte le ghiandole il giorno dopo. Le costanti richieste per i piatti, ecc. non dovrebbero essere necessarie.

(A little better than average, but it went from average to very good - no option for ‘good’) I’ve been to this hotel spa many times over the years and I noticed that there’s been quite a few changes since my last visit. We were welcomed really nicely and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, except a couple of people who i guess may have either been new or just a bit shy because i had to ask them to repeat themselves as we were confused about what they were explaining. Our twin room was strange but only because our beds were on opposite sides of the room, which I’ve never experienced before in a twin room, regardless of who you are sharing with you’re going to be comfortable in close quarters and it was just strange being so far apart. No biggie though. The next thing was that there was no fridge in the room - so we had to put up with room temperature water to hydrate us (no complementary bottled water either). I went with my niece and both of our treatments were great, really relaxing and couldn’t fault the beauticians. The restaurant and food options have changed a great deal. I was telling my niece beforehand how much she will adore the food and how great it is, all being healthy but all yummy too. But now it’s just the same type of hotel food you’d expect anywhere else. The breakfast particularly used to be so much on offer, granola of all kinds, lots of healthy options, honey and preserves from local farms, an array of pastries and if you asked you could have cooked breakfast options. This visit was less of an emphasis on health - lots of cooked breakfast options, a toast machine and a small selection of cereals and pastries. I don’t mean to sound really demanding but I was a little disappointed about this aspect. All of the little issues combined just made it no where near as incredible as it used to be. I really hate to say this because Lifehouse Spa has always been a really special treat and experience. I haven’t made my mind up whether I would return again.
