Abbiamo prenotato di rimanere in questo hotel come avevamo già soggiornato e mangiato lì. Alla sua arrivo si è salutata da Lisa, che era molto utile. È rimasto nella stanza 3 che era pulito e tempestivo (letto e mutandine confortevoli) ma un po' sul lato piccolo per due persone. Il pasto di venerdì sera era medio. Buon servizio, di nuovo da Lisa. Non molto da dire sul colazione di sabato. Niente era scritto, non ascoltava le nostre richieste e abbiamo avuto l'impressione che la persona non volesse essere lì!!! Che contrasto, domenica mattina. La tavola del colazione era fatta con cereali, tosta, pasticceria, bevande calde e fredde. Il colazione inglese era molto meglio del giorno precedente. Lisa era di nuovo in servizio e controllava che avevamo tutto quello che ci serviva. Lisa merita di essere un dipendente del mese!

L'hotel non è davvero a Chorley, situato a sud-ovest e a qualche distanza da Chorley. Situato in una zona di servizio autostradale che è accessibile solo dal nordbound M6. L'uscita è anche sul nordbound M6. Ciò significa che si può fare un lungo viaggio lungo l'autostrada se si vuole accedere alle strutture locali - o CHORLEY. È un buon punto di fermata se si sta effettivamente viaggiando a nord sulla M6. L'hotel ha richiesto maggiori informazioni al check-in nei giorni più recenti e insistono che si registra una carta di debito/credito presso la ricezione per un deposito in camera. Non si prendono soldi a meno che non danneggiate qualcosa, ma hanno carta bianca per prendere soldi e discutere con voi più tardi se lo scelgono. Molti pochi (nessuno nella mia recente esperienza) hotel prendono tali misure oggi. In un'era di frode e furto di identità, non è mai ideale trasmettere informazioni di qualsiasi tipo. La camera era molto confortevole e ben progettata, ma la doccia era molto scorrevole, e ci sono notizie nella camera da bagno, ma un po' di sforzo per rendere la camera meno pericolosa sarebbe più utile. In generale, ci sono alternative locali migliori che non richiedono dettagli sulla carta e sono molto più facili da raggiungere con auto, e in effetti il trasporto pubblico o il ciclo. Andare altrove per lo stesso livello di alloggio senza problemi.

La posizione è molto pulita e perfetta proprio fuori dall'autostrada. Il pranzo era un po' di ritardo, e il bacon e le salsicce sembravano seduti per un po' e finiti. Altrimenti. Usa di nuovo

We spent New Years Eve and have to say, it was a brilliant way to bring in 2024. Our rooms were lovely. They were clean, and beautifully presented. When we arrived at the Blazers Suite for our Carvery Dinner, the staff had prepared a table really close by, as I had mentioned when booking that a member of my party was a bit unsteady on her feet. The receptionist said there would be somebody ready to help her to carry her hot meal, and there was a lovely member of staff at the back of the queue, who was more than happy to assist with choosing and carrying the plate to the table. The food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and prawn starter, wrapped in the lightest pastry. The DJ was good, and the dance floor was packed all night. At midnight there was a rousing chorus of Auld Lang Syne. Only one little quibble, to knock a star off. I checked breakfast and check out times with the receptionist when we checked in. I had previously rang to check this information and was told breakfast 8-10am and check out 10.30am. I thought it worth another ask, as in previous hotels these were later, but the times were confirmed as above. I was surprised, therefore, to overhear the same receptionist mentioning a late check out to another guest as we were checking out. I queried this, and she confirmed both breakfast and check out were later, it being New Years Day. She said she had not been told about the change early enough, and apologised. After such an enjoyable evening, and a lovely breakfast, I was not in the mood to complain. However, the added half hour for breakfast and checkout would have meant we could spend a bit more time with my family, who had travelled from the Wirral to celebrate with us.
