Stayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.

Siamo rimasti al cancello Ibis Cardiff dal 9 al 11 agosto, e siamo venuti a vedere Billy Joel al stadio principale il 9° agosto, e abbiamo deciso di farlo un fine settimana e di vedere a Cardiff. Le camere erano pulite e di buona dimensione e i letti erano molto confortevoli. Abbiamo deciso di rimanere per colazione e siamo molto felici con il cibo offerto. L’unica cosa che ha fatto il nostro soggiorno era il personale, non potevamo essere incontrati con un più caldo benvenuto e sorridente viso come Darshil e Jesbin. Così bellissimo giovani che non potevano fare abbastanza per rendere il nostro soggiorno migliore. Il piacere di essere accolto con tanti volti felici e in modo impeccabile. Queste e le ”ragazze” di ricezione di giorno erano un credito all'Ibis Hotel. Anche se si trova a circa 7 miglia dal centro di Cardiff, ha tutto quello che serve e personale meraviglioso per salutarvi quando arrivate.

Sono rimasto qui per un viaggio d'affari per una settimana. La stanza sembrava pulita, ma è così buio che non si può dire se è pulita o no. Questo è in realtà un problema - la luce è cattiva. Non potevo lavorare in camera perché aveva solo un'illuminazione gialla e non una normale fonte principale di luce. Il bagno può essere leggermente freddo se non lasciate la porta aperta in modo che l'aria calda dall'A/C possa entrare. È vergognoso che non abbiano un colazione incluso, soprattutto per lunghi soggiorni in hotel che non è così economico e fuori dal centro... almeno un piccolo sandwich renderebbe le cose migliori, ma no 👎🏼. Un'altra cosa è che la zona non è molto bello. A meno che non devi fare qualcosa in quella zona, non ti consiglio di rimanere. Mi hanno anche detto ai conducenti di taxi di non camminare da soli dopo che si è scuri. Prima di sapere che andava, mi sentivo un po' insafe. Il personale era a posto, non ho avuto molto contatto con loro. Solo quando sono arrivato c'era un incidente - non mi hanno trovato nel loro sistema (è stato prenotato con un altro nome per errore, ma ho cambiato la sua denominazione una settimana prima dell'arrivo, quindi non so perché non abbiano aggiornato le informazioni). C'è una piccola palestra, ma quasi tutte le macchine, tranne una, sono per gli esercizi cardio. Quasi nessun ristorante o negozi nella zona.

When my husband and I first viewed Llechwen Hall as a potential venue for our wedding, we instantly fell in love with it. The breathtaking views, coupled with the hotel’s blend of classic charm and modern style, made it clear to us that this was the perfect place to celebrate our special day. The beauty of the venue was simply undeniable, and we were thrilled to book Llechwen Hall as our wedding venue. However, our planning experience with Llechwen Hall was a mix of highs and lows. While there were many positive moments, we did encounter some challenges, primarily due to miscommunication caused by a turnover of wedding coordinators. Unfortunately, this led to some frustration as we found ourselves having to repeat details and discussions that had not been passed on to the new coordinators. For example, from the beginning, we had discussed and stated the importance of having a spacious room for the morning of the wedding to accommodate all of our bridesmaids, myself, and our mothers. As the wedding date approached, we discovered that there was no record of this request, and all the larger rooms in the hotel were already occupied. This was a significant source of stress and disappointment. Despite this setback, we must commend Megan and Rachel for their efforts in securing the Llanfabon Suite for us on the morning of the wedding. They went above and beyond to decorate the room beautifully, allowing us all to get ready together, which was truly appreciated. One particularly concerning incident occurred when we called the venue to make a payment towards our wedding. Shockingly, we were told that there was no record of our wedding being booked at all. This was incredibly alarming, especially considering that by this point, we had already paid a substantial amount toward the total cost. After a tense conversation, it turned out that the receptionist had mistakenly been looking at the wrong year. While this was eventually resolved, it caused us considerable anxiety, raising doubts about the venue’s attention to detail on even the simplest matters. Fast forward to the evening of our wedding, and unfortunately, another issue arose. Toward the later part of the night, I (the groom) ordered a pint at the bar, only to be told that I was not allowed a glass and could only have a paper cup. As you can imagine, a pint in a paper cup was frothy and undrinkable. Frustrated, I expressed my displeasure, stating, ”This is my wedding,” and a member of our wedding party rightly pointed out that after spending so much on the event, the least they could do was provide a proper glass. It was only after this that they finally gave me a glass, but this should never have been an issue in the first place. That said, I want to emphasize how grateful we are for the support we received from Megan, our final wedding coordinator. Megan was amazing—helpful, kind, and truly dedicated to making our wedding day special. She turned what had been a stressful planning process into

Booked online a couple of weeks prior to attending a concert at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Usual script for the big hotel chains vastly inflate their prices. So started looking at smaller accommodation venues, and came across The Maltsters Arms Hotel. Arrived mid afternoon, and place was rammed with it being a sunny day, but staff on hand to immediately book us in. Room cleans and tidy, and couldn't ask for more. We walked into city centre its about 2.5 miles and 30-40 minutes, easy walk, either by road, or through the park. Keys were provided so that we could get back in after hours. There are two railway stations to Cardiff Central within 20 minutes walk of the hotel, but walking the whole way wasn't much further... and the queues in Cardiff after the concert were massive, so walked back, feeling totally comfortable/safe despite it being a city. Bed was a little soft for me, but it was comfortable, room has air conditioning, so a good nights sleep was had. Booked a breakfast as part of the initial booking, and it was really lovely 'full cooked breakfast' they don't call it an English, in Wales! Was tasty, hot, plenty of it, plenty of coffee on tap. Checking out was just as painless. Staff on booking in really helpful, and polite, same chap (Chris) served us breakfast, a credit to this place, he clearly puts some shifts in! Car park to the rear limited parking... TIP - your parking is including if staying you register your car at hotel reception. I had paid on the machine, no problem they instantly refunded... there had been signs, but it appears some had disappeared? Would i stay again, Absolutely! Next time we are in Cardiff will check for availability...
