Il bar, il ristorante e le aree dello studio sono state ben mantenute e decorate. La stanza era di grande bisogno per la ridecorazione, la riciclaggio e la manutenzione generale.

Stavo in questo hotel per tre giorni lavorando e fu buttato via. Ero nella suite Garden.. che è essenzialmente un ali dell'hotel! Tre camere in una, camminando in una sala con una grande stanza a destra, attraverso una grande stanza con sedili, tavola da caffè e un fantastico letto di quattro poster di lusso, poi in fondo alla stanza entrate una grande, Tradizionalmente stilizzato bagno con un enorme bagno in piedi liberi e un grande cubico di doccia separato, messo nel muro. Il cibo è eccellente, ogni pasto che avevo avuto era un buon standard di cena. Per quanto riguarda il personale, hanno davvero reso il mio soggiorno memorabile. Mia, il responsabile del compito, era amichevole, utile, informativo, divertente e niente era un problema, Nick, il custode della serata era cortese, gentile e ancora una volta, bello parlare con lui. La signora Catherine, che serviva colazione, era un respiro di aria fresca, prima di tutto, in una mattinata, e molto piacevole; anche i puliziatori della stanza si sono allontanati dal loro modo per assicurarsi che avessi tutto quello che avessi bisogno. L'hotel è vecchio, chic ma molto ben tenuto per mantenere il vecchio mondo sentire e amplificare la sua storia. Molto consiglio. Grazie a ALL il personale per un soggiorno memorabile. Richie.

Booked to stay here via a known 3rd party booking site.. So I take part responsibility for what I now write.. But I do feel perhaps more interaction from staff would've helped.. Especially as I had also emailed location and had communication about arrival time.. Anyway.. Shown to room, and as far as actual room decor and bed, no problem.. Very well decorated.. Ensuite had a small issue because the toilet was directly opposite the towel radiator, so we had to sit awkwardly to use it.. Just a little strange concept and not best for passing No2... Now, having enquired about food, we were advised by venu that they didn't actually do main meals, just cobbs, pork pies etc etc.. So not a problem, there is a fantastic gastropub 5mins down the road walking.. So we all enjoyed a fabulous meal & drinks there instead of using this location.. So, now the frustration part.. The £85 room rate doesn't include a breakfast.. So I didn't read booking form right then.. And you must book breakfast ordering the night before so venue can organise it.. So, couldn't staff mention that on our arrival to pay for accommodation...? Or when we returned before going to bed after having a drink at the bar?? We asked what time was breakfast in the morning?, why didn't they say something like you've not ordered any breakfast... Anyway, we left on time as you must be out by 10am the following morning.. For us, the £85 wasn't really good value for money..at just room rate.. Add breakfast. You're now almost £100 And I judge this opinion on the many locations we've stayed at worldwide that for less you get a far superior room and breakfast.. The following evening, we stayed somewhere else at £5 more, with a larger room, with far superior ensuite..4poster bed, veranda , nice decked out area And that charge included breakfast.. So I understand a pub with rooms has to make a living, but the cost just wasn't justified in our opinion.. Staff were very polite, no issues there.. Would we stay again when visiting the area ? Sorry.. It's a NO...

The property is stunning in terms of the surroundings. I had a slight issue on my way in finding it as the signage on the country road isn’t very clear so I drove past the turning twice. When I arrived again the signage isn’t very clear about where to go and park. There are signs for reception but they are coupled with signs for a teachers union which I personally found confusing as I was unsure if I was in the correct place. The staff were super friendly and helpful during check in, and in the bistro bar. The pricing in the bistro bar was also very good, I had a pizza and a large glass of wine which was all very enjoyable. My room was well presented, and clean. The bathroom looked like the towels had just been replaced but not cleaned as there was hair which looked like someone had just shaved over the sink and the shelf. The shower had a few hairs in also. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t great, I believe if you simply swapped these for normal hairdryers they would be much better. The breakfast was good, there was a good selection of foods and drinks. Checkout was easy also. Overall a good stay, with slight changes it would’ve been a great stay!

We had our wedding here and it was truly the most beautiful day of our lives. The old rose and crown is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has the most amazing view. Dawn is an absolutely amazing wedding planner she did everything perfect. Andrew is a blessing and a lovely gentleman. They did everything to give us the best day ever and they truly succeeded. We stayed the night before and the night after the rooms are lovely, the bed is the most comfortable we've slept in. Thank you so much for everything you did for us the old rose and crown will truly forever be in our hearts people and place and will always be somewhere we stay.

Fantastic. You certainly know what you're getting when you book to stay here. Always very clean. Breakfast included and good value for the price of our overnight stay. Staff were all very pleasant and responsive to our requests as well as our simple greetings. A good stop off point on our drive from South Yorkshire to South Wales.
