Sadly the excitement of the location and alleged star rating was soon swept away even as you approach the car park. It looks sad. We were shown the empty restaurant but no menu, no room folder either to entice you to dine. Room was freezing and no thermostat we asked about heating or if there was a warmer room. Reception cheerily moved us to a room facing the sun, that hadn’t been cleaned, we then successfully relocated. The wait in the corridor for room keys was used to spot the dust and broken lampshades. The new room was pleasant and reasonably clean but still no working heating and had grown cold after we had visited a local restaurant so we requested a heater, it was broken and another found but this would not have passed any H&S inspection. We were very grateful to the receptionist who must be desperate for some investment to make her job less of a fighting fire role. Breakfast had a huge buffet with 3 cars in car park? We shared the room with one couple. The fried egg and black pudding were fine bacon sadly another story, the view of the patio overlooking the Loch should be wonderful but is somewhat marred by neglect. I’m still nursing a bruise on my foot where the anti theft device failed on shampoo dispenser in the bath. This mainly down to lack of investment but management skills should transform the guest experience for very little cost. £10 for a pint and half of Cola doesn’t encourage you to buy another round wonder why no one else was in bar at 9pm.
Excellent service from walking through the door Mark on reception was pleasant efficient and very helpful at check inn ,my room as ready a little early and was still allowed to check inn , room was good with no issues nice and clean bed very comfortable, all the staff are very pleasant and welcoming, food and service i cannot fault , for me the location is ideal being close to the M74 , a good overall hotel staff location and rice rolled into one , i will be staying here again well done guys . I stayed for 3 nights on May bank holiday. After travelling for 10 hrs, all I wanted was a good nights sleep, unfortunately there were 3 girls in the room next door , drinking, shouting and making a lot of noise, eventually at 2.00 am , I had to go to reception to complain, as I was going back to my room one of the girls , gave me verbal abuse because I had complained about them, needless to say, the noise continued. I am a 70yr old lady , who was in the room alone, so I was deeply upset at the situation. Although they were given 2 warnings , they didn’t care , it continued and the cleaner had to tell them to be quiet at 9.00 am. I got no sleep whatsoever, I was given a voucher for Costa coffee the next day. The stay here cost me £263 , I did ask about compensation for the night, to be told the staff member would speak to the Manager, regarding this. No compensation has been given. I certainly will not stay here again.

L'illuminazione in tutto l'edificio è molto sottile. Bella e rilassante musica e atmosfera.
We stayed to see show in Glasgow. Beautiful quiet area. Great link with the motorway 5mins. An extra bonus we stayed during a race day. We had racecourse view. Very clean room with friendly attentive staff. It is possible to buy food and drink all night. A great bonus when returning late to the hotel. We will be back in October for another show. I would not consider staying anywhere else now
Upon arrival the hotel is beautiful from the outside and the free parking is a bonus. When we went to check in we waited for ages and no one appeared, we had to press the ring door bell outside and eventually a lady arrived to check us in. We had called over a week ago and asked if we could check in early, when we told the lady this she said she hadn’t been made aware that we called but she did still let us check in early, I asked if the hotel had a lift and it felt like she took offence at me asking because the building is “SO old” okay I’m not a mind reader, it was a simple question and we have stayed in old buildings before that have lifts. Room was on the top floor, had to lug heavy suitcases up, the room was small but comfy, it was a hot day and was disappointed to find no fan in the room so we had to leave the window open all night and was woken by people outside talking. The bathroom was awful, you couldn’t swing a cat and the water pressure was the worst thing we have ever experienced in our lives, at one point the water stopped working all together, you also had to turn it on and leave it 10 mins to heat up. We also got woken up 2 days in a row by the loud slamming of the other doors from the rooms, the bed was comfy with nice bedding but the TV only has about 5 functioning channels. Check out is 10am which is bizarre, you have to pay £10 extra to stay until 12pm and of course there was no staff when we checked out. The best thing about this hotel is the location! It’s a stones throw from the train station and has a small highstreet with some nice shops! Even though it wasn’t a great experience, we would go back and maybe book a larger room on a lower floor because the location was excellent for what we paid, if they could get the staffing and water situation sorted out it would rate so much higher!
Rimasi qui per una notte pagata £75, quindi non aspettavo molto.Ma che bel hotel e tutto il personale erano di prima classe, io rimarrei qui in qualsiasi momento e lo consiglierei molto.Lo rimarrò certamente di nuovo.Grandi uomini arrivano all'uscita di vita

I am absolutely disgusted with what I witnessed at the Holiday Inn Express Hamilton this morning. I will not be going back there again as I am in shock still. The receptionist was absolutely disgusting with the way she was speaking to some other guests who were trying to check in. Clearly, they had been at work (somewhere in the area or nearby) and were really tierd. As they didnt sound like they had a local accent or were scottish, they must have travelled also a fair distance to get there. You could see the lads had just wanted to go to sleep. The customer was very patient and was attempting to converse with the person behind the counter, who was just not listening and telling him ”He Was Wrong” and Patronising him and telling him, ”Thats not how it works”. To put it plainly, she needs Sacking. I would not be spoken like that by anyone and certainly not after travelling and working all night. She was Absolutely Vile and people like that should not be aloud to do the job she was meant to be doing let alone near the general public.
