A great pub to stay at for a long weekend. We stayed there to watch racing at Brands Hatch for two days and you could not be closer to the circuit. The food was outstanding, we had a ribeye steak and we are still talking about it a week later. The staff were very friendly and if they saw our glass empty it was promptly collected and refreshed. Il ristorante era molto bello non poteva mangiare il pasto serale e anche un grande colazione a buffet. L'unica irritazione che abbiamo avuto è stata la piscina che era bella il giorno in cui abbiamo controllato, ma la mattina dopo siamo arrivati a riutilizzarla. Nessuno ci ha avvertito che avremmo 15 minuti di uso prima che l'aerobica acqua iniziasse per i visitatori di giorno e ci è stato chiesto di lasciare la piscina insieme ad un'altra piccola famiglia che i bambini più giovani erano chiaramente molto turbati. È opportuno chiarire sul sito web che la piscina non sarà disponibile per gli ospiti dell'hotel in determinati momenti. Questo darebbe poi agli ospiti la possibilità di controllare gli hotel alternativi, poiché questo è stato un grande fattore in noi di rimanere in questo hotel.

We had a lovely visit at the Castle Hotel. A hotel with an old quaint charm! Love the history. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Coffee and robes in the rooms were over the top. Breakfast each morning was amazing. Loved sitting out on the beautiful patio area! We look forward to many more visits!

Was intrepid at first with little info on the hotel, however no need to be at all, lovely little hotel right down the road from Brands Hatch. Ample parking, was greeted by everyone very politely shown to our room and the room was very adequate. First off it had probably the best AC I’ve ever know , we accidentally left it on as we slept and woke up in the middle of the night and it was like a fridge. The room was clean, had a nice smart flat screen tv. Plenty of plugs and light switches in both sides of the bed and a nice strong powerful shower. The sink was a bit cramped to the toilet and we was only provided on set of towels but that was no issue we just asked for more at reception and they was apologetic and left some in our room as we enjoyed the adjoining Indian Restaurant, and it’s a must. The home made naan was fantastic. And the food in general was lovely. Will certainly be returning when we are down that way. Thank you.

Don't be fooled by the exterior and the renovated lobby, both of which are very nice. This is a dumpy old hotel that should have its Holiday Inn franchise removed until full renovations are complete. As an IHG Diamond and Intercontinental Ambassador status guest I was given an upgrade to an executive room. My first room had stains on the walls, stains on the desk chair, crumbs from biscuits on the nightstand, other crumbs on the desk chair, mold spores in the kettle, stains on the side of the bed, bedding that didn't even cover the mattress, and mold or mildew in the bathtub-shower. Those were just the cleanliness-related issues. The room was also in poor condition. Likewise, the hallway leading to the hotel had threadbare and stained carpet that looked like it was from the 1980s or 1990s. Same for the bathroom, which looked unchanged in years. I requested a second room, which was also an executive room. This room had hair on surfaces, stains on the bedding, stains on the bathroom countertop/vanity, mold or mildew in the bathtub-shower, and water from a previous guest in the kettle. The Front Desk clerk was working by herself until the duty manager arrived. There were no housekeeping staff working. To the hotel's credit, I emailed the operations manager and duty manager with pictures. The duty manager took full responsibility, fully apologized and re-cleaned my second room while I was at dinner. While worn-out and, overall, just well below the standard of any chain hotel in 2023, the room was at least mostly clean on the third try. I will also compliment the Front Desk clerk, a woman. She was professional, welcoming and just very hospitable. She was exactly the kind of person you want working the Front Desk. I would hire her in a heartbeat if I owned or managed a hotel. Unfortunately, she can only work with the product she is given. Likewise, I had dinner in the hotel restaurant while waiting for my room to be cleaned. The menu is pretty extensive and, if I'm being honest, a little overwhelming. The lamb was very good. Surprisingly good actually. Service was attentive, although the restaurant is really just the breakfast restaurant. If you order drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), the until 6:30 pm for dinner, which is a little late for a chain hotel off the motorway. The bar off the lobby, which has the feel of a small pub, serves the same food and is open earlier. staff have to go to the bar to retrieve them. This seems odd. You think they would at least have a non-alcoholic drink station in the restaurant. The restaurant itself doesn't open Most customers were eating in the bar as it had a better atmosphere than a soulless restaurant dining room that was 99% empty. I was going to use the gym, but the gym isn't 24/7. You also somewhat bizarrely have to walk through the bar to access the gym. That's awkward. Another unusual feature of the hotel is the layout. I would give it 11 out of 10 if I could. Fell upon this by sheer luck and ended up staying 4 nights instead of 1, we were so comfortable. Can’t understand some of the negative comments on the reviews. The staff are incredible, hardworking, happy, friendly, anything you want they will try and accommodate you, always someone available day and night, really flexible to special requests and caring regarding special diets. They make it like a home from home and the level of customer service is something that is very rare these days. They found me a room with a microwave when I told them on check in that I travel with my own food due to dietary restrictions. Our room was spacious and had every amenity you could think of, bed was comfortable, big soft thick towels. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Lounge area really homely, warm and cosy. Very good breakfast options, pub type menu available to order until about 9pm with some good quality hot food and gluten free options. Really good bar and service. Free tea and coffee 24 hour self service machine plus hot and cold water dispenser. Very good security both building and car park. Residents only hotel so always plenty of tables in lounge/restaurant and no need to worry about who might be coming into the hotel/restaurant. Most of the hotel including the lounge/restaurant has had a refurb/makeover/redecoration. A big personal thanks to all the staff for being so helpful to me during our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend. Easy to find and access and plenty of free secure parking. Very fairly priced and good value for money.

In generale, siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi dal nostro soggiorno, dal momento che è stata la nostra prima volta che siamo stati in questa catena hotel. La posizione era conveniente a fianco dell'A2, ma ancora tranquilla all'interno del nostro hotel.La stanza era molto grande, il servizio clienti era grande e il valore per i soldi era molto meglio delle catene più stabilite. Il caffè è anche un stand indipendente a pochi passi dall'hotel. Si chiama caffè fondiato e consigliamo una visita. Un hotel molto consigliato.
