Benvenuto da un ospite molto conosciuto, combinato con una sessione di coniglio di classe.. Purtroppo non si può trovare una stanza con le grandi viste dei vigneti e non sono sicuri perché questo è il caso, perché sembrava che ci fosse solo un altro paio di persone che rimase. La nostra camera era spaziosa e confortevole, anche se la foto e le descrizioni sul sito web potrebbero portare a dellusione (nessuna toilette e nessuna musica in camera/hifi) anche se questo non ha influenzato il nostro soggiorno di 1 notte. Inoltre, non è sicuro dove si trova il minibar di bevande soft come indicato sul sito web. È necessario aggiornare il sito web, poiché ha informazioni confuse su ciò che è incluso nell'opzione cena. Per esempio, il pranzo all'interno del sito web dice: ”Il pranzo viene servito ogni giorno per prenotazione Adulti Il menu di set include 1 aperitivo (scegliere tra liquore di conigli, conigli, pinau ...) 3 piatti, vino locale, caffè.” Non è così. le bevande non sono incluse, e anche se è menzionato sulla pagina tariffaria potrebbe perdere e facilmente portare a dellusione e vergogna al check out. Il pranzo in un ambiente estremamente incredibile era una conversazione bella e deliziosa e consapevole con Christine (che ha un fluido inglese) fluì così facilmente come il vino. Il colazione era un po’ deludente durante il nostro soggiorno e non corrispondeva alle recensioni che avevamo letto prima. Il pane di frutta, due biscotti e burro, formaggio bianco (come yogurt) e banana (opzione frutta), anche se il Broyé du Poitou è stato preparato per la mancanza di croissant o dolore au chocolate offerto durante il nostro soggiorno. In sintesi, ci siamo divertiti con un master di coniglio e un gusto dato dal marito molto conosciuto di Christine. Sicuramente ci sarebbe di ritornare se in zona.

Layout incantevole: un castello fuori Cognac. Piscina, bella zona esterna dove si può avere la tazza di champagne e il vostro pasto al loro ristorante (ambedue abbiamo avuto). La signora al desk era molto amichevole ed efficiente. Ogni camera è unica in termini di design e colori. La mia camera era estremamente pulita. Un'esperienza meravigliosa (anche se ero in viaggio d'affari).

I stayed for a few nights at IBIS Styles Hotel in Cognac while on business in early December, which to me was a fairly low season. My company got a rate of 125 Euro/night. At that price I was expecting a decent mid range hotel based on staying at other Hotels near Cognac and by reading on the IBIS website that the IBIS Styles is a step up from IBIS Budget brand and this was my first experience with the IBIS brand at all. Front desk staff are extremely friendly and engaging. I got a free room upgrade with my Accor status. The room itself was a bit of a let down. Mostly because of the dark decor (back wall behind bed painted black and dark carpet and one small window) This is definitely is a budget hotel solely based on room features and If you can get a room at this hotel at a good price, it could be a good option. Room features that weren't there No - work desk No - work chair. Instead a hard plastic cheap chair you see on a patio No - USB outlets No - Kettle, coffee or tea No - Mini-fridge No - Ironing board, or iron, although the web site mentions one No - Additional amenities in the bathroom, just soap No - Streaming features available on the TV Limited power outlets - One by the bed and one at the far corner by the window that was too far away to be useful An odd little plastic stool that was too small to be of use in any way The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were very small and square and had a weird textured pillow-case on them that made them look at feel like couch pillows. The good aspects of the room - The heating system worked well - It seemed fairly sound proof - It was very clean - The bed was comfortable - The hot water worked well I also saw on the IBIS website in-room newspaper and free water bottle mentioned, but I did not see them. The breakfast was just OK. The chairs in the breakfast room are all hard plastic. Parking is plentiful and free.

New addition to an existing ibis Styles on the same site. Separate building though, so you can't use the pool and breakfast is served separately for a fee. There is just one guy doing check-ins, assisting with housekeeping issues and serving breakfast in the morning (he was great though!). Reception is closed at night, you get a code instead of a key card for your room. This is a new-spec ibis budget with a proper bathroom, which is a great improvement. Extra bed is located in a small closet that can be pulled out if needed. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom, but you can ask for one at the front desk. Easy under 10 mins drive to the city center, free parking, a number of supermarkets around, as well a couple of bakeries.
