If you're looking for the ideal stay that will fulfill all your Provencal dreams then this is your place. We had a wonderful stay at Crillon Le Brave in May and only wish our stay was longer. The hotel that's a village makes this a unique stay and leads to the overall charm. You are met with the most beautiful exterior as you walk into reception and the cobblestone walkways let you wander from pool to your room, to the spa, to the restaurant all while taking in the breathtaking views of Mt Ventoux, vineyards and surrounding olive groves. We had a beautiful room, a great dinner, and I enjoyed a relaxing spa day where I had a fantastic massage. But the best part of the hotel are the people who work there and specifically Charlotte. She went so above and beyond it truly touched our hearts.

Such a lovely place to stay. You will need a small car to go through the narrow gate into the old town of Mazan but Eric and Agnes will make sure you have a place to park. They are superb hosts who really look after their guests and pay attention to all the details. We loved our large room off the Library and played snooker/pool in the evenings. We adored the relaxing garden with a gloriously warm swimming pool. I was straight in to that within an hour of arrival and we used it every day of our May stay. Dinner was cooked by Eric on our first day and was delicious, as was the breakfast served by Agnes. Try Eric's special spiced scrambled eggs. All items were seasonal and local and we loved the way it was varied each morning. The other nights we ate in the town, booked by Agnes and Eric on their recommendations. You will not see many tourists here and it is on the edge of such a great wine area. A base for Gordes, the ”Lavender route”, Mt Ventoux, the wines of the Vaucluse and the edges of the Luberon. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and anyone else who loves La Belle France. Ask Agnes to tell you the story of the house and garden. Merci beaucoup, Agnes et Eric from Una and David.

This is a beautiful hotel that unfortunately falls far short. It is eye watering to stay here and we booked it as a really lovely treat. The service was terrible. The front desk got the check in time wrong and we couldn’t access our room when we arrived, there was 0 service around the pool despite being told you could order a drink there. I had to go into the hotel to find someone, and the person I was directed to to order from didn’t know the drinks menu in either English or in French so it was a nightmare trying to order anything and the poor girl seemed completely put on the spot by the front desk. The breakfast is far too expensive for what is a serve yourself buffet (it cost over €40 for 2 people to have a coffee and a croissant). We left our pool towels in our room when we checked out only to be told we had to go and get them and that for some unknown reason they couldn’t just be sent to the laundry with the rest of the items up there. It took 20 minutes to check out as there was only one member of staff at the desk. The carpark (which is €15 a day) is barely accessible due to a ramp that almost takes the front off of your car. We have a VW camper so if you have anything that sits lower you won’t get it in the carpark. It cost over €300 to stay here for one night and we didn’t feel like the stay came close to any sort of value. The only good thing about it was the pool is lovely and so was the room. Honestly, book somewhere else where you’ll get value for money.
