The Hotel Carlton (and Beaulieu-sur-Mer) was a fantastic place to make base for a week on the Côte d’Azur. First of all, the location is convenient. It is a quick (25ish minute, €25-30) Uber from the airport. The hotel is a quick walk to the train station, making most of the sights of the Riviera very accessible and cheap. There are lots of decent to very good restaurants and easy walk away as well. The beach was also good for sunbathing and a quick swim, only about two minutes away on foot. The front desk gave a warm welcome and they were exceptionally kind and helpful before and during the stay. I cannot say enough about their professionalism and kindness. Despite being a smaller hotel outside of the larger towns, I would recommend it to anyone regardless of their level of French or familiarity with the area. The entire facility gives a very upscale air, especially in comparison to other four star hotels I looked at in nearby towns and stayed at in Nice. Not to mention, the price is incredibly fair for the quality. Drinks at the bar on some nights were very nice, as the hotel is quiet, and the breakfast was delicious each morning and normally very well enjoyed on the terrace. The pool was also very comfortable and peaceful with new loungers and it was slightly heated as a huge bonus. The rooms themselves are very clean, very comfortable, and, again, have a very upscale feel. The air conditioning works well, a necessity for us from the southern US, and the beds were also very comfortable. The window in my room featured an electric, rolling metal blackout apparatus that made sleeping in one day almost too easy! Room service was not obtrusive and did a fantastic job every day. Overall, this small boutique hotel gave a truly boutique experience, sophisticated and relaxing. I would and will recommend this hotel and Beaulieu to anyone visiting the area, even as a suitable alternative to basing your trip out of Nice, where we did spend a fair amount of time. The pace and vibes were exactly what I wanted out of my vacation.

Il pranzo è anche eccellente, vista sul porto, se non hai scelto una stanza di vista sul mare. Il personale era molto bello, iniziando da essere molto utile quando si effettua la prenotazione. È un hotel a tre stelle e una scelta molto buona in questa categoria. Ci è una piscina per i mesi più caldi! I miei criteri principali per un hotel sono se volessi tornare, e questo è certamente il caso in questo caso.

Mi dispiace di aver trovato questo hotel deludente e non ci siamo sentiti bene per il nostro AUD $2600 per notte. In particolare, il cameriere e il barista, ma abbiamo appena trovato l'esperienza generale manca di lustro. La zona della piscina è comune e la spiaggia non è molto glamorosa, solo alcuni letti solari e un cameriere in una tenda con una scatola più fredda. Abbiamo mangiato a Jasmin tre volte e nonostante il buon servizio, abbiamo trovato il cibo molto, molto comune. Confesso gli altri complimenti su questa pagina, ma non sono d'accordo. Abbiamo continuato a tornare perché pensavamo di avere un giorno libero, ma il cibo era costantemente povero. Anche noi abbiamo trovato il buffet per colazione di un standard molto povero. La posizione è meravigliosa e ci sono molte esplorazioni vicino a piedi.

Buongiorno, per la prima volta, sono ancora qui in struttura e ho voluto subito scrivere la mia recensione, perché anche oggi 18/06, alle 8:10 del mattino non ho potuto fare colazione in quanto i piccioni nella sala adibita allo scopo mangiano brioche e torte. Sono due giorni che mi trovo in questa condizione e devo dire che assolutamente non è concepibile che la poca igiene dei piccioni sul cibo non venga presa in considerazione dalla direzione, alla quale già ieri avevo fatto notare la condizione di assoluta mancanza di igiene e di non aver potuto far colazione, ma a quanto pare qui è di routine, perché non è cambiato assolutamente nulla. Piccioni che ti volano sui tavoli e piccioni che all'interno della sala vanno sulle torte e sulle brioche e che vagano ovunque senza che nessuno faccia nulla per impedirlo. Tutti noi sappiamo quanto sono poco igienici. Direi che il mio soggiorno di questa fine settimana è assolutamente da bocciare, nulla togliere alla bellezza del parco e della piscina, ma comunque una nota di demerito va anche alla pulizia all'interno delle camere che lascia parecchio a desiderare. A differenza del mio soggiorno del 2018, dopo il covid pensavo di trovare un miglioramento, invece devo dire che c'è stato un grande peggioramento. Peccato!!!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here in a family suite. The space was a great size and my teens each had their own bed or daybed. The curtains kept the room so dark it was great for sleeping! Our room was very clean as was the entire property. The hotel was in a nice location, felt like it was within a residential neighborhood but easy walk to shops, food, etc. We did not take part in breakfast but it is included if you make your reservations directly with the hotel. The pool was wonderful to come back to after spending a day walking around town and enjoying the sights. Also there is an indoor space with a whirlpool and sauna. Also, beverages and small snack items are available to purchase at the front desk and enjoy outside by the pool or in the patio areas of the rooms. Our family suite had air conditioning which was very important for us. However, the temp is pre-set to a temp much higher than we would have liked so cooling the room was a challenge. This seems to be more of a concern for American travelers like ourselves so wanted to mention that. Overall fantastic stay! If wanting to visit St. Jean Cap Ferrart this hotel is a wonderful option at a reasonable price considering the high priced area it is in.
