We arrived here following a long drive from the UK, after arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a sign advising the reception was closed and to head for the reception at the Campanille hotel, we were met by a very friendly lady who checked us in and gave us details about breakfast. We then walked back to the hotel and on entering the rooms we were nearly knocked out by the smell of tobacco smoke like someone had smoked themselves to within an inch of their lives, we then went to the room my daughters were in and this was even worse, so we headed back to reception to state the rooms were uninhabitable and the lady was apologetic and changed our rooms and we then returned to check these out, only to once again find the rooms smelling like a smokers death room so I returned to reception to be told sorry the management is not here so nothing we could do, so for my health after being in hospital after suffering badly with COVID and my family we had no option but to check out and booked into another hotel which had smoke free rooms. This hotel said we cannot stop people smoking in the rooms and could only apologise and if you do complain cannot offer a refund as no manager at the hotel also I asked the reception about fire safety if this is happening and got a shrug of the shoulders very concerning attitude to guest safety. Will be fighting this all the way and will never stay at a premiere classe ever again if this is how guests are treated.

Arrivò qui n pioggia e trovato la ricezione chiusa come un edificio. Andò a loro un nuovo hotel sorella vicino alla porta e trovato che dovevo prenotare lì. Nessun ristorante aperto, quindi doveva andare a Burger King per cena, ma riusciva a prenotare colazione all'hotel più recente. La stanza non aveva energia elettrica, quindi si è ingoiato per informare la persona che ci ha prenotato in lei è arrivata e ha confermato che la potenza non funzionava (non mi ha creduto). Ho trovato la cassetta di fuoco e il riavvolgitore, così abbiamo avuto la potenza, per quanto non esisteva il riscaldamento così freddo stanza e doveva lasciare l'acqua correre per 8 minuti per ottenere il riscaldamento abbastanza caldo per avere una doccia. Sembra che siamo gli unici nel nostro blocco, quindi non riesco a capire perché non potevamo avere una stanza di pavimento, non ha aiutato la mia angina scendendo le scale in pioggia congelata. In generale, una cattiva permanenza che è insolita come abbiamo soggiornato qui prima di quest'anno in gennaio e anche con le regghi cosiddetti aveva una bella permanenza. Il riscaldamento è stato di tre ore e la stanza è ancora congelata.

+ : Albergo molto bello, camera molto grande con tavolo piccolo all'aperto in un ambiente tranquillo e tranquillo. Letto grande e confortevole, molto pulito. Spa tutto nuovo eccellente. Accessori di bellezza/igiene forniti. -: A l'accoglienza, lingua familiare della ricevitrice ”aspetta, chiamo Lolo!”. Anche, promessa della ricevitrice di rimuovere il letto in eccesso nella nostra stanza non tenuta. Non c'è nessuna scusa da parte della ricezione. Non avvertite che il hammam è rotto. Nessuna indicazione per arrivare in questo grande hotel o persino vuotare la macchina, sono sempre obbligati a passare alla ricezione per avere informazioni di base.

Il primo impatto è di una struttura un po' impersonale, ma superata la prima impressione si apprezza la pulizia, l'organizzazione e la praticità. Consigliato in particolare per chi ha bisogno di una camera pulita e economica per il pernottamento. La colazione è abbondante e servita con cortesia con le limitazioni imposte dalla situazione di pandemia.

I waffled whether to give a 4 or 5 score, and settled on 4. This hotel is very nice, but it was more of a ”business hotel” vibe than I prefer. Location is good, it's near a nice park, and about a 10-15 minute to the main area of Pau. Easy parking. It was a very quiet area, which is great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Downside...It feels like a business hotel. The rooms were nice enough, but kind of sterile and generic. Like a nice Marriott or something. All wood floors. AC was terrible, couldn't get the temp in the room below 70, even at max AC on a cool night. I think they just turn off the AC. Also, they have liquid soap and shampoo bottles in the shower, and one day we ran out of shower soap, which means the maid didn't bother to check/refill it. I mean, when I'm paying 500+ Euro a night, is it reasonable to expect that I'll have working soap in the shower? That's just really terrible for a hotel at this price. All that said, I'd stay here again. I enjoyed my visit, but I might check out Hotel Bristol next time to see how it compares.
