Excellent hôtel, par son emplacement, la qualité du site et des chambres, la très grande qualité de l'accueil et du service. Nous avons pu recharger notre voiture à une borne électrique dans le parking de l'hôtel. Nous y reviendrons

We had two stays here in July, both for a number of days and all I can say is that we really loved it. It is situated within and close to the Roman wall. It is within easy walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants and some of the key tourist attractions e.g the cathedral and the Museo a Domus do Mitreo, both of which are well worth visiting. The hotel is also close to steps leading upto the top of the wall so, if you are up for it, you can enjoy the 3km walk around it. We had what we felt must be, the best room in the hotel with 2 balconies overlooking the wall, the modern city beyond and the countryside. The room basically had everything we needed apart from perhaps a second chair and a perhaps a box of tissues. The bed was comfortable and they kindly provided a kettle so we tea mad English could have a cup when ever we wanted one. As said it is a bit quirky with artifacts absolutely everywhere and some of them we felt would be worth quite a bit. There are even full sixed 'mannequins' in the outdoor seating area which is a great place to sit and have a drink and people watch! Breakfast is available every morning and dinner is from Wednesday to Sunday evenings. The breakfast is fine but there could be a little more variation while the evening dining experience which we did a few times was excellent. What was amazing was the staff. We could not praise them enough. Everyone did everything to make sure our stay was enjoyed. So, BIG THANKS to Maria and Manuel, their 'grown up' children, Maria, Manuel and Nikolas and not forgetting the cook Alejandro. We are likely to be in Lugo again sometime next year and there is only one place we will stay - HERE!

Arrivando per il nostro soggiorno di due notti, siamo stati impressionati dal grande lobby. Check-in era tranquillo con piacevole servizio. Possiamo trovare un parcheggio fuori strada dopo aver gettato le valigie fuori nella stanza. Abbiamo prenotato una suite e, sebbene fosse molto spaziosa, mancava alcuni oggetti di lusso che avevamo sperato nelle migliori camere dell'hotel. L'appartamento era suddiviso in tre aree separate: la camera era aria con un letto confortevole, un suono ragionevole dalla strada sottostante, un aria condizionata adeguata. Non c'era nessuna struttura per la preparazione di tè/caffee e ci sarebbe voluto dei vestiti e dei pantaloni per rilassarsi. Il bagno aveva due cuscinetti, ma una doccia in piedi sarebbe stata più bello di entrare nel bagno. Ora per colazione - questo può essere descritto solo come un disastro! Era occupato quando siamo arrivati, ma abbiamo trovato una delle ultime tavole e succo. Poi abbiamo notato una linea di 8 o 9 persone che si erano messi in fila all’unica macchina da caffè, gli altri due erano usciti e il personale sovraoperava sforzava di fare tutto. Lo stesso vale per le uova scramblete, quindi abbiamo dovuto chiedere di più; mentre aspettavamo, la nostra tavola era stata svuotata, nonostante fossero pieni di tazze di bevanda. Quando le uova schiacciate sono state portate fuori, pensavamo che avremmo avuto un bel cibo caldo, ma quando tornarono al nostro nuovo tavolo, erano freddi! Il giorno dopo è stato un leggero miglioramento, ma le macchine per bere hanno ancora bisogno di riempire e gli ospiti hanno bisogno di chiedere i prodotti mancanti.

Well located within the city walls, a short walk to P. Santo Domingo underground car park where parking for 2 days cost me £10. The location is on pedestrianised street so it does require a short walk with luggage, The hotel is much what you would expect from a 4 star but our room badly needed repainting with black marks up the walls. I have stayed in better decorated 1 stars in Spain. Breakfast has a reasonable choice in the Galician style of being more humble that you often find in USA or UK. The receptionist missed several parts of her job in not giving details of meal times nor wifi code. There is a cafe on the terrace but with plastic blinds folded down, it was stuffy and unpleasant. On our floor the fire doors were wedged open with wooden wedges. Now whilst I know nothing about Spanish regulations, I know that fire doors that are open, do not act as fire doors.

Ha una posizione molto buona, quindi si vende da solo e il personale è molto gentile in generale. Anche con questo la mia esperienza non è stata buona. La stanza era piccola e malsonorata, e si spostava in una strada con un traffico molto grande e non poteva dormire, anche con la finestra chiusa, e il comando della televisione non funzionava. La cisterna si è rotta e non ci hanno cambiato la stanza perche' dicevano che non c'era, quindi ci hanno lasciato la coperta smontata, così se dovessimo tirare fuori la cisterna, mettiamo la mano al codo per cercare di svuotare la cisterna. Qualcosa che costava molto e sempre si è fatto. Ci hanno lasciato con questo problema e si sono rimasti così in panchina. Credo che si deve investire un po 'in rinnovo e manutenzione . regolarmente non solo quando si rompe. Per tutto questo che poteva essere evitato, non lo consiglio.
