Everything in this review is from the lense of my wife and I who stayed here two nights while in the La Rioja region for a wedding in Ollauri. 1. This hotel is incredible. It shouldn't be reviewed as less than 5 stars, period. Do you know how hard it is to find an impeccable hotel and location in Europe regardless of the hotel rating and especially one located in a town of 700 people? I would dare say impossible. However this hotel in Briones nails it. There is history, wonderful people, and this boutique hotel that should be 100% booked year round (there were openings while we were there in July, insane...). If you are lucky enough to book a stay here, hug a stranger and count your blessings. 2. This hotel is a converted family mansion with an actual well deserved Michelin star (1 star) ”Allegar” with a limited amount of rooms (I believe 16 total rooms). The hotel dates back to the 16th century with some of the original walls still built against with a modern build out. Bathrooms, beds, furniture, etc... all date from the 2020s and feel brand new (even though this hotel has been open for a few years). Every staff member was fantastic on-site. Start up a little conversation and you might be surprised by the little tid bits they have to offer. 3. Allegar! Okay Spain has tons and tons of Michelin star restaurants and while we haven't eaten at every single one in the country, we have had enough choice food across the globe to know when we are eating something spectacular. Allegar's La Rioja tasting menu was so damn good we ate it two days in a row. You likely won't want to eat anything else for the rest of the day because of how filling the journey is, but who cares? That's the point of food this good. The chef is marvelous and his team of sous chefs deliver right along with him. The first tasting was a solo date and the second day was with friends. If we had more time we would have eaten there again and had the Allegar tasting menu (the other main tasting menu other than a la carte). 4. The wine. You're in the La Rioja region so yeah, there is fantastic wine everywhere. The hotel has its own wine and we purchased it as gifts for family and friends because it was as good as the hotel stay and the Allegar. If that isn't enough for you, then check out the Bodegas (yes wineries, not shops) in the area and you will have even more to bring back home. Side note, ladies if you need your hair done, there is a quaint local salon in town (think Paul Mitchell 1980s vibes) and the owner/team there know their stuff. To all the team members at the Santa Maria Briones, my wife and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful stay this year and we cannot wait to visit again in the future!!!

LLeticiaAnche se le strutture soddisfacevano le aspettative di apparecchiature per uso domestico e comfort, è stato un grave errore per il nostro Plenario al 15, non avere accesso a Internet in televisione né la possibilità di regolare questo servizio con I nostri dispositivi. Sarebbe molto favorevole migliorare questo punto per offrire una migliore connessione se il cliente lo desidera. Un altro dettaglio insignificante è stato non trovare la macchina Nespresso come aveva letto in un commento di un altro utente. Se lo chiariscono, eviterà il futuro cliente di quello che mi è successo, comprare capsule che non ho potuto usare.
Un aspetto da considerare del soggiorno che ci è sembrato migliore è la disponibilità di un letto grande e non due insieme per coprire la nostra richiesta esplicita.
D'altro canto tutto perfetto e molto contento con l'insonorizzazione e il modo di controllare l'energia con il sistema di rilevamento di apertura delle porte e/o finestre.

UUtente ospiteWe stayed here during the 'wine fight' festival and wanted somewhere central so most things would be in walking distance. Given a few comments about noise we were slightly trepidatious about how things would be in the middle of a huge event for the town. We drove to Haro and followed the instructions for parking in a designated space in one of the side streets behind the hotel - this was a little challenging when trying to follow the satnav, as some streets were already blocked off for the festival, but we eventually found it and parked up. The hotel was only a couple of minutes' walk away. Arriving at the hotel we got to reception only to find it was locked (although the front door to the lobby was open). I rang the duty manager who was already on his way to meet us. Very quick and friendly check-in, and we got to our room. Thankfully we were at the back of the hotel (the view from a forward facing room over the square would have been good on other occasions, but would be too noisy during the festival). The room was large, well equipped and (importantly) triple-glazed, so there was very little noise coming from the bands playing outside. Aircon worked well, and there was plenty of hanging space and a huge bathroom. The bed was also comfy. Given the hotel doesn't have a restaurant there isn't much else to comment on, but we found this a great location with friendly staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other travellers who are looking for a budget-friendly central location.

Didn’t expect much given the price per night (£47). Unbelievable surprise when we entered, simply lovely. Spacious, perfectly clean and very well appointed and furnished. Terrific bed, slept like a baby on good quality mattress and bedding. Fabulous location, just off the central square. Immediately decided to return and stay again. Book in was on-line only, no reception; but the system worked and was drama-free.

The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, making my stay even more pleasant. Additionally, the hotel's location is perfect, situated conveniently close to major attractions and amenities. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch stay in Logroño .

Un bellissimo hotel a 4 stelle che smack bang nel centro della città. Abbiamo ricevuto un benvenuto molto professionale e piacevole e abbiamo ricevuto una grande stanza sul 6° piano, vista la Gran Via. Molto pulito, moderno mobili, con frigorifero e bottiglia d'acqua gratuita. Il bagno con marmo era grande e aveva un bidet e un bagno. Ci siamo divertiti molto. Saremmo stati felici di dare un ottimo rating all'hotel se fosse stato un po' più tranquillo. Anche se eravamo alti, potevamo sentire il rumore stradale, il puliziatore che si sdraia in alto, e un po' di rumore dal corridoio. Inoltre, per un hotel di quattro stelle, avrei aspettato un gel da doccia e uno shampoo separati, piuttosto che una lozione all-in-one in una bottiglia, e una cassaforte. Idealmente si trova se viaggiate senza una macchina, a circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria e dalla stazione di autobus (grande e vuota).

UUtente ospiteA good place to stay when visiting the Rioja region. A converted abbey in Navarrete , very close to the town centre and motorway access. Very pleasant rooms, with slightly dated, but well maintained furnishings. There is plenty of parking, and lovely grounds surrounding the hotel. There was no food being served in the evenings when we were there, but this may be different at other times of the year. But the staff were able to recommend a good restaurant in town, less than a ten minute walk away. Buffet breakfast was very extensive with hot and cold dishes, fresh juices and as much tea and coffee as you want. The reasonable price, is obviously the attraction of the hotel, and better than staying at a branded, bland location.

880553567Ottima opzione per alloggi**** nella bellissima città di Logroño. Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo prenotato tre camere e siamo felici del servizio impecabile che abbiamo ricevuto, soprattutto grazie ad Alicia in reception, che è stata eccezionalmente attenta, insieme a Lydia e David. Le camere erano ampie, pulite e confortevoli, con bagni spaziosi con doccia e bagno indipendenti. Inoltre, la posizione dell'hotel è perfetta per esplorare le famose zone di cantina e villaggi della regione. In breve, un'esperienza molto raccomandabile che sicuramente ripetiamo nel nostro prossimo viaggio a La Rioja.

MModerationForMeWe stayed here for one night on the Camino Ignaciano. The check-in staff was great. We had e-bikes to store, and they had a secure room in the parking garage for them. The room was very clean. The hotel was near the cathedral and river. The breakfast buffet was probably the best on our trip.
