L'hotel dispone di una posizione meravigliosa e dalla nostra stanza possiamo vedere il porto e il sole, nonché l'attività stradale, e ha anche l'avanguardia di essere parte della vecchia città dove potremmo camminare e campionare un sacco di pintxos. Il personale è stato sempre utile, soprattutto a pranzo a La Jarana Taberna e al ristorante. La squadra a colazione è sempre stata felice e piacevole lavorare con l'un l'altro e con i clienti. Non possiamo sperare di più. Un piccolo punto negativo: il set di rasoio ha avuto il più doloroso rasoio che abbia mai visto in 60 anni, il set di vanità è stato di grado ugualmente basso. Un hotel del vostro standard dovrebbe fare meglio. Dovresti cambiare fornitore. Lo rifletto nella classificazione di valore e nella classificazione generale. Per compensare questa, la matrice era una delle più comode di mia moglie e ho mai dormito. Nel complesso, un piacevole soggiorno e saremmo tornati senza esitazione.

RRoss25Struttura in ottima posizione tranquilla a 20 minuti a piedi dal centro. Stanza moderna con letto comodo, doccia molto ampia e terrazzino, ma troppo piccola e poco funzionale per due persone. Nessuno spazio per aprire una valigia. Colazione varia e di buona qualità. Ottimo il servizio bevande direttamente dal bar. Parcheggio in loco ma sempre completo nonostante il prezzo alto. Pulizia non eccellente (capello in doccia) anche se accettabile in generale.

UUtente ospiteHotel room was very clean. High quality sheets, nice and quiet and room kept at a good and constant temperature. The hotel is quite new and it feels it. We stayed for 4 nights and spent our whole time in town, so we used this a base only and it was perfect. Swimming pools isn’t open until summer. Bar closes at midnight sharp. Airport transfer from Bilbao is about an hour. To get to town it’s a 6-7 minute uphill stroll then a 20-25 minute downhill walk, with many steps included. So if you aren’t mobile, you’ll spend money on buses or taxis.

- cozy and natural woody taste room which is definitely my type
- water is free of charge if you ask the front
- sunshade was smart enough to be controlled by buttons

- no place to get foods besides the restaurant located inside the hotel
- ordering by an item is not available for at least the lunch time we went, had to order 2 items for each person including dessert
- location is a bit far from the busy area of San Sebastian however taking taxi only took 12-13euros even at night, and taking a bus is easy on the way since going to the bus stop is really within a minute.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are easygoing to get around taking a taxi and a bus and rather sleep in a quiet area.

Hotel is perfect and well located, close to restaurants and the hotel bar is very good plus there are several very close. We choose the suits thinking the 3 adults could stay in the spacious room. The bathroom is in the upper level of the suite and has a narrow spiral staircase making it very challenging for my 86 year old mother to use the stairs. The solution was to get her an extra single room. My fault for not checking and asking before booking.

Il servizio è semplicemente fantastico, tutti sono stati gentili con noi e ci hanno aiutato se avessimo chiesto qualcosa. il personale dello snack bar (caffetteria) è il meglio del meglio, così come il personale delle pulizie. L'unica cosa negativa era l'aria condizionata, non abbiamo idea se fosse ”calda” a causa della nuova ordinanza o per qualcos'altro, ma purtroppo la posizione dell'hotel è così vicina a un'autostrada, la stanza era silenziosa e buona, ma cerchiamo di dormire un po' più fresco, e con la finestra aperta era semplicemente impossibile

Two nights in Donostia San Sebastián with a guided walking tour booked for our full day in the town. The hotel is really comfortable and the staff are all truly lovely. Our room had everything we would want but like so many Spanish hotels they don’t provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We travel extensively in Spain and bring an aero press coffee maker, its small and convenient for travel. We have a small travel kettle and bring coffee. Milk is more challenging now as since Brexit milk and milk products cannot be brought in but that can be addressed with a bit of planning. That said, breakfast starts at 07:30 and the coffee from the machine is actually OK. A good selection of breakfast choices including bacon and eggs. What we do like about this hotel is the staff. All are friendly and smile all day long. The young girl at the bar was really friendly and we felt welcomed and comfortable. Plenty of comfortable seating in the bar area and food can be obtained via the bar menu. We however chose the restaurant both evenings and were so so impressed. Our food was excellent and we were looked after both nights by two different but equally attentive, professional staff. I didn’t get the name of the waiter on Tuesday night but he was delightful. Thursday we chose the tasting menu and so glad we did. Every single dish was superb. A special mention to Irina ( Irene?) who served us. The restaurant was really busy and she was on her own waiting on tables. She was friendly, charming and helpful even though under pressure due to the volume of diners. She did a fantastic job. The food here is some of the best hotel food we have had. All food and drink is on a pay at the point of use, no putting it on the room but for us that worked really well as the room was prepaid so checkout was quick and easy. Just leave the key in the box and go. WiFi is excellent. If you are driving there is parking in front of the hotel but not enough spaces if the hotel is full. There is parking opposite. The hotel is situated on a hill, and I mean a hill!!!! The walk into town took about 25 minutes. We discovered the taxi rank right by the bandstand near the seafront and it was only €8 to get a ride back up the hill. If you are visiting the town you will have a comfortable welcoming stay here but come thinking “ taxi” to get back.

NNagore & JacquieAbbiamo una splendida esperienza di passeggiare su la collina e di trovare l'Hotel Avenida. Le viste sono sorprendenti e guardano incredibili sulla montagna. Grande posizione a piedi distanza dalla spiaggia e città. Ottimo servizio presso la reception e la colazione mattina. Accesso facile alla palestra e alla piscina.

Des del primer momento, Rony se ha mostrado atento y muy servicial. La Pensión Gurtxu está en pleno casco antiguo. Lo mejor es que se encuentra en una calle con pocos bares, donde no hay aglomeraciones por las noches. Hemos dormido sin ruido, además los cierres de las ventanas son nuevos y con doble cristal. La pensión se trata de un segundo piso con ascensor. Esta super limpia, reformada, ordenada y en cada habitación hay agua, cafetera, tazas, 2 toallas por persona, nórdico, televisión, espejo... Las camas son cómodas. En total hay 3 habitaciones, cada habitación con su llave. El baño es compartido, pero no hemos tenido problemas de espera para usarlo. Esta muy limpio y reformado. Puedes encontrar mapas y además Rony te manda un WhatsApp con recomendaciones gastronómicas muy acertadas. Gurtxu es espacio muy cogedor dónde voy a quedarme cuando vuelva a San Sebastián. Molto buono
So positives were the location and regular and reliable bus service to and from Donostia. The toilets and facilities were clean as well. The negatives were the cost (it’s v expensive) for which I’d expect larger pitches (we had to put our caravan in diagonally and it’s only 6.7m) and then there was no room for the car! We had no chance of putting up our canopy. Secondly the toilet facilities, although clean, were tatty. Doors in showers didn’t lock, if they did there were missing hooks for clothing / towels, and when I eventually found a lockable door with 2 hooks, the shower didn’t work properly. Similar story in the loos. For premium cost (£50 pn) I’d expect premium facilities- these are poor. Finally the navigation to the site and the entrance in, are a bit of a nightmare. I emailed before and was told to follow the website instructions (not clear!) so I emailed back with my own map marked out, but got no reply. The entrance is also very tricky but there’s no warning of this. Overall I’d say it’s ok, but for this sort of price you can do better.
