We recently travelled throughout Germany and Ireland and as a former resident of Hamburg, Germany(over 60 years ago) I wanted to experience staying across the river Elbe in Finkenwerder with great access via ferry to the Landungsbruecken in the harbour. We booked with the Hotel Elbinsel for 5 beds as we were five adults. We arrived on the 6th July about 8 p.m. to find that there was no one at the front office(office was closed). After some checking on our reservation we could call an off site Tel# and were advised that there was an access box at the rear of the hotel and access could be gained with a code. The box was very delapidated but after some difficulty my grandson, whose hands are much smaller than mine, was able to finally able to get a card providing access to room #24. We entered the room which proved to very small and normally might have been suitable for two adults to find that the hotel had crammed four bed spaces in this tiny room. Please remember that we had booked space for five adults. There was no one around who might have helped so we finally went to bed with three of us sharing a double bed in a very limited space wanting to get this matter resolved in the morning. The next morning I proceeded to the front desk and found that there was no help to be provided as the room attendant manning the desk spoke no German nor English and just said that the manager would be present later that day. Suffice to say we were not ever able to get our situation resolved as the manager was not there ion the three days that we stayed at the Hotel so we had to stay in our cramped room and try to make do which certainly put a cloud over our stay. We have since attempted to contact the Hotel management to no avail to get some recource and have been very disappointed with the service provided by ***********. On the positive side we enjoyed the location as I had hoped with the very efficient ferry service only a few streets from the Hotel. Can you imagine five adults staying in a room less than two hundred square feet with luggage and also at a time that was quite warm(27C)./ The Bathroom was adequate but again, at the end of the day, we would have been better served anywhere else and cannot recommend this Hotel. By the way, apparently breakfast was available but frankly we were too upset with the treatment we received. Another plus was that there was a grocery store across the street so we were able to get a few things to keep us going.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend- TOP! Auch konnten wir schon früher auf unser Zimmer mit gigantisch schöner Aussicht- Super! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist allerdings nicht ok. Für 1 Nacht, für 2 Pers. 196,00 Euro mit Frühstück finde ich nicht wenig. Die Dusche hat Schimmel in 2 Ecken und die Armatur war defekt- Wasser lief raus. Ebenso sollte auch die Orga beim Frühstück, in solch einem Haus besser funktionieren. 1 Kaffeeautomat für einen vollen Speisesaal ...- ist etwas arg knapp bemessen! Kein nachfüllen von Gläsern für Latte oder Tassen für andere Kaffeesorten! Aufbackbrötchen hart... Pancakes ebenso- waren einfach zu lange warm gehalten worden...- konnte man nicht essen... SCHADE!!! Wie gesagt in Anbetracht des Preises, ist das nicht ok. Ansonsten hat das Hotel einen tollen Standort und auch sonst gute Voraussetzungen richtig Top zu sein! Macht was draus! Lg

Molto classico. Molto costoso, ma vale la pena. L'hotel ha fatto un grande lavoro di restauro dell'edificio. Prima, il personale del desk front semplicemente è sorprendente. Era la nostra prima gita internazionale da quando ero cosiddetto cosiddetto cosiddetto, quindi ero nervoso e stanco. Ma, i peep del desk front were welcome and calming. Grazie per il vostro benvenuto effuso. La camera è accogliente soprattutto il letto. Il bagno è abbastanza grande e molto pulito e confortevole. Il resto ha una vista stupenda sul fiume. Sarei rimasto lì spesso, tranne che mi scongiuro di mangiare mentre combatto con il mio peso.In generale, semplicemente fantastico!

Mein 3. Aufenthalt im Baurs Park Hotel, und ich habe bereits meinen nächsten Aufenthalt gebucht. Beste Lage beim Treppenviertel in Blankenese, alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber, das Frühstück ist liebevoll zubereitet und bietet alles für jeden Geschmack. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Das Hotel Schmidt ist eine urige Hamburger Unterkunft. Da die Villen und Häuser mit den Zimmern über das gesamte Gelände verteilt sind, ist man immer vor und nach dem Frühstück an der frischen Luft unterwegs. Die Mitarbeiter sind SEHR nettes Personal, das auch Sonderwünsche erfüllt.
