Abbiamo avuto un soggiorno assolutamente meraviglioso al Minthis Resort a Paphos. Tutto superava le nostre aspettative, dalla serena esperienza di spa fino al delizioso cibo e servizio impecabile. Il colazione era fresco, variabile e un grande inizio per i nostri giorni. La nostra stanza non era solo bella e confortevole, ma anche con belle sorprese, ci aspettavano fiori freschi e una torta, rendendo il nostro soggiorno ancora più magico e memorabile. Il personale si è spostato in alto e in alto per assicurare che ogni aspetto della nostra visita fosse perfetto, e ci siamo sentiti veramente affamati durante il nostro soggiorno. Molto consigliato per chiunque cercasse una fuga di lusso, rilassante e inoltrabile!

Siamo stati accolti in un modo molto ospedaliero e affascinante. Anna-Marrie, o Marie Ann che non sapeva come si scrive, ci ha dato un caloroso benvenuto, un drink e un divieto ai servizi dell'hotel. Assicurati di richiedere una camera esposta a sud se visiti in inverno. La prima stanza che ci hanno dato non aveva ombra ed era molto fredda; a quanto pare l'aria condizionata è solo per l'aria fredda e questo non aveva impostazioni calde ecc. Ho avuto un mini raffreddore mentre stavamo gelando ma per fortuna hanno trovato una nuova stanza per spostarci nella sera successiva. Abbiamo anche chiamato in anticipo e li abbiamo informati che siamo vegani e vegetariani, ma il personale a colazione non ha potuto aiutarci quando abbiamo chiesto alcune informazioni sul cibo. Soprattutto quando tritavano la carne, le kouppes venivano mescolate a quelle vegane. La risposta è stata semplicemente non mangiarlo! Non so quale sia quale 🤦🏻‍♀️ Bene, non abbiamo lasciato che 2 membri del personale influissero sulla nostra vacanza. La piscina privata era bella ma ancora non riscaldata ~ torneremo sicuramente per provare la Spa e altri ristoranti. Ci hanno anche dato uno sconto del 15% e una tessera associativa per entrambi. Vale la pena provarlo.

Quest’albergo penso sia il peggior 4 stelle di Cipro e vi spiego il perché: 1)- non offre niente aldilà del lettino e l’ombrellone che sono pure vecchi e sbilenchi. 2)- offre standard europei ma molto scarsi e quindi non italiani, con cibo quasi immangiabile. 3)- albergo frequentato da gente rumorosa che comincia a rompere le scatole strusciando sul pavimento sedie e divanetti oltre che a sbattere la porta della stanza già alle 6 di mattina 4)- pulizia nelle stanze inesistente. abbiamo soggiornato 10 giorni e non ci hanno mai cambiato le lenzuola. 5)- sta in mezzo a due VERI resort con prato vero lettini coperti da asciugamani a grandezza uomo e non a grandezza nanetto come nell’aquamare che sono per di più bagnati zuppi a causa dell’irrigazione notturna e la cosa ti fa risicare e non poco. 6)- a tavola l’acqua non è compresa nel pasto e per questo pagherete 2,50€ per una bottiglia d’acqua da un litro che qualche volta è arrivata anche calda e non esiste l’acqua di rubinetto come in Francia. 7)- l’acqua costa 2,50€ ma sei vai al bazar dell’albergo costa 85 cent la stessa bottiglia. 8)- SPA inaccessibile perché se ne stava cadendo il soffitto. 9)- biancheria da bagno ridicola. 10)- massaggi a partire da 75€ per un trattamento al viso 11)- aria condizionata talmente forte che la moquette dei corridoi era inzuppata di condensa con conseguente cattivo odore della stessa. Finale della storia, 4 stelle fasulle buono solo per inglesi e americani e stranieri in genere ma se ci tenete alla pulizia e a mangiare bene andate altrove. P.s le foto, che ho postato, sono della stanza dopo che è passata la donna delle pulizie.

Ivi Mare 5* hotel........ Pro's: - immaculately clean hotel around poolside and rooms and all dining areas - friendly staff - front desk staff very helpful - booking our fav restaurants around Paphos for us and asking if we needed anything else. - Veronica from housekeeping was superb and always greeted us with a smile and a joke each time we saw her. - sunbeds the BEST EVER in all the years we have been coming to Paphos - beats the Asimina and Amavi sunbeds hands down! - food was good - plentiful breakfast, we didn't dine in that much in the evening - as we know so many local Taverna's to eat at. Cons: Not many but key ones: - Pool itself looks very inviting, sadly not accessible to all (my opinion only) as we travelled with someone with a bad knee. There are no gradual steps into the pool like in the Asimina and Amavi (other 5* hotels). The issue my wife had was she couldn't use the pool ladders as the ladders are too narrow to place feet on for her and each step was quite far apart for her so it was difficult getting in the pool - no such issues in other mentioned hotels. In fairness to the Guest Relations staff (who was brilliant) we gave feedback and she said it was on a list of items the hotel are looking to do for improvements - there was a shallower end to use but the steps issue was still the same. Unfortunately due to the pool accessibility itself we feel we cannot return - however I noticed it wasn't an issue for others and there were plenty of people happily using the pool. - return taxi to airport - driver was able to literally walk in - shout our names out incorrectly - which meant he nearly left us there until I thought I had better check with him what was written on his piece of paper - turns out it was US!! luckily I checked. Advice to hotel - I think staff on the front ought to be able to liaise at this stage - they do in other 5* hotels. - we collected our own luggage from the room and left it with reception but then had to collect it from the room behind reception - as did others. Personally I would expect a 5* hotel to go the extra mile - like they do in the Asimina and Amavi. I suppose we could have asked them to do this for us but just feels a bit like the service ought to have been offered. - no poolside staff (apart from bar staff and lifeguards) to help with umbrella's - even just one additional person to assist for those less able to move the shade around - imagine the tips they would get! I note they do this at other 5* hotels. Overall we did enjoy our stay at the hotel and we just feel compared to other hotels of the same star rating the Ivi Mare just needs a few tweaks for this to be a 5* review and for the hotel to be perfect! I don't blame the staff for the negatives - the feedback is for the hotel owners only to consider. Special mention to the lifeguards - superb! always making sure rules were followed - and were friendly.
