The Hotel is no frills and if you arrive after 4PM you have to checkin via an electronic kiosk by the door. You fill up a bunch of screens and in the end it gives you a keycard to enter the hotel. You also have to use it in the elevator as the hotel is only on the 4th floor and all other floors have locks. The room was fairly large and well equipped. I particularly loved the alligator shaped soaps for the kids and the fully stocked minibar which was entirely free. There were also chocolates and cookies on the pillows. Nice wi-if too. Breakfast is served in a tiny room downstairs and even though there was a tiny amount of each of the things to eat, it was replaced often. The only person working in the hotel in the morning is the receptionist and the one tending breakfast. She was nice and responsive to our needs. A very good option for those needing to take the train from Basel Bad in the morning. A bit far from the city’s interesting bits though.

Il posto era al di là della mia aspettativa. L'ostello sembra meraviglioso dall'interno con carattere storico. Le camere sono perfettamente organizzate e pulite. Le lavanderie sono pulite. Il personale è amichevole e sempre lì per aiutarvi, il ricevitore ha consigliato di visitare bellissimi luoghi a Basilea. Mi danno anche una bicicletta gratuita per aiutare a esplorare la città. Il processo di check-in e check-out è andato bene e professionale, si può anche fare completamente online. Il colazione è stato anche fantastico. La posizione è a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria Dan e si può facilmente prendere un tram per andare al centro della città antica. Raccomando vivamente questo posto a chi vuole visitare Basilea.

Tolle Zimmer und gute Möglichkeit als Überbrückung bei Wohnungssuche, war zwei Monate da. Aber es muss einem bewusst sein, dass dies ein Partyplace ist und die Zimmer im EG bekommen den Lärm voll ab und das Personal kümmert es nicht (nur bei einer Party an einem Samtag wurde mir nach 22 Uhr ein Zimmer in den oberen Etagen angeboten und das nachdem den ganzen Nachmittag lang Konzerte im EG stattfanden, die anderen Wochenenden musste man selber schauen). Deshalb versucht ein Zimmer in den oberen Etagen zu bekommen, dann gibt es vielleicht auch ein zu öffnendes Fenster.

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights (or 2 for me since my flight was cancelled on the way there) and everything was really good. I had a late arrival and although reception had closed, I was left very clear instructions to find my key. The hotel is not far from the centre of Basel and there is a tram stop opposite; it's also very close to the river which was a really nice way to walk in. Everything was clean, my room was spacious and had everything I needed. The breakfast was really nice, with a very good choice of items. We were also given a Basel card which gave us discounts at the museums we went to, and also free public transport, so very well worth having. I would recommend Dasbreithotel to anyone visiting Basel. The staff on reception were all really nice, very helpful, and dealt with my changed plans really well.

L'impressione generale della stanza è buona, pulita e ordinata e c'è un buon isolamento acustico. Non si sente alcun rumore nella stanza anche se si vive di fronte alla stanza dell'ascensore. Lo scenario fuori dalle finestre su entrambi i lati dell'edificio è molto bello. La maggior parte dei canali TV sono in tedesco. È possibile prendere in prestito un adattatore dalla reception. La posizione è buona e i trasporti sono comodi. Di fronte all'hotel c'è una fermata del tram che porta alla stazione ferroviaria centrale e alla via dello shopping. Gli hotel e i supermercati in Svizzera sono chiusi nei fine settimana o hanno orari di apertura molto brevi, il che è scomodo per i turisti. Tuttavia, i negozi nelle stazioni ferroviarie saranno aperti più a lungo. L'acqua minerale viene fornita in bottiglie di vetro da 200 ml. Per impostazione predefinita, vengono fornite due bottiglie al giorno. Non è sufficiente bere quando fa caldo. Ero troppo pigro per trovare il servizio in camera, quindi sono andato al pronto vicino e ho comprato un grande secchio di acqua Evian. La camera dispone di una macchina per il caffè ma non di un bollitore per l'acqua calda. Il cuscino è un cuscino in piuma molto morbido. Ne ho impilati due insieme per ottenere l'altezza di un cuscino medio. Scegli con attenzione se hai la spondilosi cervicale. Inoltre, anche se le stanze al piano superiore sono lontane dal suolo e relativamente silenziose, il rumore proveniente dalla parete esterna in vetro può essere sentito continuamente nella stanza. Le persone sensibili ai suoni potrebbero non riuscire a dormire facilmente. Per impostazione predefinita, la pulizia non viene effettuata tutti i giorni. Gli addetti alle pulizie verranno e chiederanno se è necessaria la pulizia.
