A 3 minuti dall'hotel, Wal-Mart vende i giardini congelati con sacchetti di noodles, in modo che si possa semplicemente mangiare con la microonde e l'acqua calda all'hotel, e ci sono ristoranti come la pizza, il pollo e gli hamburger intorno. Soprattutto, l'autostrada era buona e i magazzini del dipartimento erano vicini, quindi sono molto soddisfatto della posizione.

Such a lovely, welcoming host and home. The breakfast was SO.good and SO big! Way more than we expected.or.could eat! It's not often you get 3 courses with breakfast! The bed in room 3 was saggy in the middle and could probably be replaced any time now. The room.and our ensure bathroom were both spotless. We would definitely stay again. If you have mobility issues, be aware that all the rooms are upstairs. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

We stayed for two nights Oct 5th & 6th. Check in & check out process was easy. Bed was comfortable. View of Detroit across the river was nice. Bathroom was nice with plenty of counter area and walk in shower was nice, especially for people who find it difficult to step into a tub/shower. Fridge was good for chilling wine. Fitness room was good with plenty of equipment and secured lockers. I thought the hotel could've offered complimentary coffee in the lobby. Instead, guests are required to purchase Starbucks coffee in the small market for purchase area near the lobby. Also, we found the tv channels were limited, specifically sports channels. On the second evening, our air conditioner/heating unit on the exterior wall started making noise. The noise got loud and continue but eventually would decrease then quiet for a while then increase and get loud again. We called the front desk and eventually a maintenance staff came. He looked at it and eventually determined that in order to find the source of the noise, the wall unit would have to be taken apart and would require two staff and take time. So, he apologized and gave us a blanket to cover the unit to muffle the sound. Although the bed was comfortable, the noise didn't make for a great sleep. Upon checking out, which was easy, we took our luggage to the parkade where our vehicle was parked. We paid $34 for both nights. The parking ticket that I was issued upon check in remained in my wallet for the two days since we never did drive during our two night stay. Upon exiting the parkade, I put the parking ticket that I used to enter the parkade into the ticket dispenser where it indicated that I owed $32. Knowing that I had paid $34 for two nights of parking through the hotel, I was a bit confused. I backed up and parked the vehicle and called the front desk. The front desk agent told me that I had to call the parkade assistance to discuss this problem. So I went back to the ticket dispenser, selected the assistance button, spoke into the dispenser and explained my situation. The operator instructed me to cancel my ticket submission and retrieve my hotel parking ticket. However, my ticket didn't return to me. Likely because others may have exited the parkade since my attempt. The parkade operator instructed me to go back to the hotel and get this problem corrected. So, I walked around the block to the front of the hotel, since I no longer had access to the rear of the hotel, and again told the front desk agent my situation. I was subsequently issued a new ticket which I then used to exit the parkade. What I didn't appreciated from the hotel front desk was being placed in the middle of a problem between the hotel and the private parking company. This wasn't my problem but the hotel made it my problem to solve. Overall, this isn't a bad hotel but two significant incidents made our stay less than memorable.

Sono rimasto qui per 5 notti durante il volontariato con un evento di salvataggio. L'hotel è molto ben mantenuto. La nostra camera era senza spot. I letti erano molto comodi. Abbiamo trovato la porta al bagno in un luogo strano che bloccava l'accesso alla porta e alla zona della bar caffè quando era aperta. La nostra stanza ha guardato la strada, che era alta, ma hanno fornito le orecchie e avevano una breve nota che ci ha fatto sapere che sapevano del rumore e che cercavano di risolvere il problema. Il check-in era molto facile. La nostra ragazza era così utile e carina. Il personale del ristorante, sia mattina che sera, era anche grande.

Rewriting as there appears to be confusion from TripAdvisor team. This review is about our experience with Towneplace suites and the Towneplace moving us to Sheraton. (Same hotel brand - Marriott), upon literal arrival. Since writing this, and having it posted, the Operations Manager, Samantha, of Towneplace Suites, graciously reached out to make what I feel, is a grand gesture and show sincere appreciation for our concerns. So thank you! This doesn’t excuse our upset for if “we” know better we do better! So, I will begin with this, we did not end up staying. Although I felt compelled to write this for our disappointment upon arrival. Leads me to say, in writing this, expressing our concerns, when “we” know better; “we” do better! Please don’t wait until I’m at your front door. We booked this hotel months in advance to attend a Nexus interview the following day, over another hotel - the Sheraton Windsor! Literally! Coincidentally, the weather that particular week had temperatures with heat warnings including air quality warnings. We drove 3+ hours after finishing work, to literally arrive to Towneplace Suites hotel being told their AC is not working and anywhere in the hotel! They knowing/ having this intel days before our arrival, as staff of the hotel advised us! We were neither called nor notified pre-arrival for us to make alternative arrangements!! This shows lack of respect for themselves, their customers including a Platinum Elite Member such as I! We were told if we stayed, the window does open albeit a few inches! It was not ideal. They said, the alternative is, “they send us to the Sheraton Windsor (their other branded property), at same rate.” (Many reasons for not booking with “other hotel” originally. Rooms are extremely small. And, TripAdvisor reviews for which I do rely on, were less than I would consider. We have never had any luck with “other hotel name” albeit now part of Marriott brand. Hence, the reason I was skeptical.) So after attempts to make immediate alternative arrangements, I came up dry, and acquiesced to their moving us to the Sheraton Windsor. I did express my reasons for not wanting to stay there. FYI -and ORIGINALLY we got no offerings of any kind. No discounts, no free parking, no price adjustments, no offer of Marriott points. NOTHING! This is a huge inconvenience and now the restaurant we wanted to eat at, becomes unavailable option. I’ll explain! FYI - I will submit a separate review of the “other hotel”, and FYI, in advance - we would not stay there again! So, are we disappointed and put out we, as Platinum Elite or really any guest, be given Marriott points to express “sincere” gratitude? I chose the Towneplace Suites for the size of the rooms, and based on TripAdvisor reviews! To reiterate, since the original writing of this review, the posting of this review, and the hotels respectful response thereafter and then, their literal email reply - directly reaching out to us, I am grateful for suc

We stayed for the weekend and visit Detroit. The hotel is very close to the border crossing so it was very convenient. Specious room, clean with sink outside of the bathroom (excellent idea with 2 people trying to get ready in the morning) and very polite staff. The young lady at the front desk was so well mannered that she handed back my cards with two hands. This may be normal in Japan but not seen here. Everyone worked there were friendly and cheerful. The lady in the breakfast room refused a tip saying that the cook should get it! It may not have the amenities of a 3 or 4 star establishment, but their people more than make it up :)
