CCstanceWe checked in on a Wednesday and we’re supposed to check out on Saturday but extended our stay until Sunday day because of a storm hitting back home. Check in was quick and easy. We had to split our reservation with another couple, the front desk clerk could have been a bit more friendly, she was a bit rude. The hotel room was spacious, 1 king bed, on the second floor. The hotel has great hangout areas, we played many games in the “Gallery” area and on the veranda. We had the buffet breakfast twice and there are lots of choices! From pastries, muffins, fresh made omelettes, sausages, scrambled eggs, fruit and oatmeal. The cost was $25 per person. We ate at Braxton’s, the food may not be for everyone. It was also VERY pricey. But the atmosphere was very cozy. We ate at the Right Whale Pub, the food was fantastic with lots of options. It was a more relaxed atmosphere. We swam in the outdoor and indoor pool. They were both wonderful. We had fantastic service from the bar staff!! And if you get a chance to do the Ghost Tour, do it. They have 2 a night and it’s about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. It’s very interesting, Ben was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable!

We had forgotten about the time change when we were coming in from Maine so wish we had had more time to explore in the evening, but the room was everything we wanted. HUGE room with kitchenette and sitting area. The bed was clean and comfortable and the deck was why we booked it - high tide, low tide, full moon, sunset, sunrise - right outside our door. We misunderstood the AC unit and asked for a fan. A fan was delivered quickly and then a lesson in how to run the AC unit so we really had not needed it, but they were very helpful. It did seem like folks beside us were residing there and the cooking scents were strong, but not anything that was concerning (just made us hungry). In the morning there was coffee, donut, and yogurt - it was all we needed to get on the road. We walked out and around the town before checking out and would definitely consider staying here again. There was no elevator so do be prepared to carry up your luggage, but the front desk staff was more than willing to assist.

Fantastic little find only 40 min away from best whale watching. Very comfy beds. Clean. Lovely little room. Coffee and tea available in lobby. Great, fresh continental breakfast including cereal bread, bagels, cakes/breads, bananas, apples, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, tea and juice.
