Big room n hotel, semplice colazione ma è pieno di scelte, situato lontano dalla città

I stayed at this hotel the evening of April 30, 2022. The checkin was quick and easy, the room was a decent size (no need to sidle around the beds to move around), the room was clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. There's a small fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave in the room. There is a breakfast included which was pretty darn good: everything from pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausages, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit (apples, bananas etc), bagels, croissants, muffins and even WARM CINAMMON ROLLS!! Free wifi was appreciated. Checkout was also quick and easy. So it was a positive experience for me

Il mio ragazzo e io siamo rimasti in questo hotel il fine settimana e anche se l'hotel stesso era bello (ci sono costruzioni quotidiane sul quinto piano ma non era disturbante), la gestione era assolutamente AWFUL. Abbiamo prenotato attraverso Expedia e pensavamo di prenotare la suite w/ jacuzzi, ma quando siamo arrivati, hanno detto che non era così. Ho chiesto alla signora al divano front, che era molto bello quanto costasse l'aggiornamento. Le ho mostrato il prezzo che Expedia aveva offerto per quella stanza che era significativamente inferiore e con l'approvazione dei manager ha accettato di corrispondere al prezzo annunciato su Expedia. Abbiamo la suite re con i giacche e abbiamo nulla di cui si lamenta della stanza, era spazioso e il giacche era come un spa! Ci siamo estesi la nostra permanenza un'altra notte e abbiamo confermato che sarebbe lo stesso prezzo. Abbiamo dovuto chiamare costantemente il desk per contattare il manager perché le spese sulla mia carta di credito erano molto più elevate del prezzo che hanno accettato di corrispondere con Expedia. Non c'era nessun manager disponibile per tutto il fine settimana e ci fu detto che ci avrebbe chiamati o venuto a discutere la questione. Non lo era. Non solo siamo stati sovraccaricati la prima notte, ma anche più la seconda notte. Si è sentito come se la direzione ci stesse disdegnando e, alla fine, quando abbiamo controllato, ci fosse stato detto di chiamare durante la settimana. Il manager ci ha accusato di “ingannare” loro, ci ha legati e ha rifiutato di correggere le accuse.

Lets start with the positive things first. The entire hotel has been renovated, so the property both inside and outside are well maintained, clean and attractive to the eye. There's no foul smells, or old and musty smells. The room was complete with all the necessary storage options, a large TV, comfy beds and all the amenities needed in the bathroom (including shampoo and conditioner bottles on the wall...not those little tiny bottles that a woman with long hair can't even use). Front staff was friendly and efficient. The only issue I had here was it was 4 pm on a Friday when we were checking in and there was only 1 person doing the check in's. There was a long line and we had to wait quite some time before we could check in. I would recommend a second staff member for busy check in times to make things run a bit smoother. Now, the negatives. The first negative I had was the staff early in the morning. One of our group members became ill during our trip. We called at 5:30 am to see if the room we had was still available so we could extend our stay. The staff member was impatient on the phone and did not want to assist us. The first excuse they gave us was that we couldn't make a reservation on the phone and we had to do it in person... (ummmm....aren't most reservations either made online or on the phone????) and that we had to wait to 8 am when the next shift was in. When I mentioned that our original reservation was made via phone, he then changed his tune and said 'he didn't want to make the reservation for us as his shift was almost over”. We ended up not staying. Second complaint was the lack of night time security in the hallways. We travel a lot for kids sporting events (that's why we were here). Our kids sporting events start very early in the mornings (we're typically up anywhere between 5 am and 6 am). So when there's teenage kids in the hallways, running up and down, yelling, laughing, carrying on and making huge amounts of noise at 2 am in the morning, this is a concern. There was a security camera located in the hallway so unless it's there for show or not being watched by staff, there's no way this behaviour should be allowed to continue. ( I know that parents are responsible for their kids...but lets be honest and realize not all parents 'parent' their kids, otherwise this wouldn't have happened).
