The Prince Hotel is my go to place to stay whenever I'm in Melbourne. It's in a great location in St Kilda, has a cool vibe, the staff are always very friendly, and the food in the pub is consistently good! I travel mostly on my own for work and I always feel comfortable having a drink and meal downstairs by myself.

Booked this because the price was reasonable. Studio Apartment is misleading as it's a tiny room with a TV, carqvan fridge and microwave. The ironing board was useful as a dining table. Good sized bathroom, terrible water pressure, bed was okay and the room wasn't serviced, not that it really mattered. We were warned about the construction works but couldn't use the tiny courtyard as it had been pulled to pieces and the sliding door was taped up and covered with grotty, torn plastic. Thought we'd have a sleep in as checkout is 10.30 but was woken early by someone banging and crashing around the sliding doors with a broom cleaning. The day before someone was dragging and peeling the plastic off the sliding door, and other guests using the shared entrance can be noisy. Check in was very good, helpful receptionist who made our room a priority for preparation as we were getting in earlier than check-in times but a $100 securiry deposit for the room was taken off my credit card. 5 seconds to take it but apparently takes 5 business days to release it. Still waiting 8 business days later. Bonus is Aldi downstairs, a short work from trams etc. They'll book taxis for you which is very useful. There are rooms for the budget conscious but don't expect anything special. I'd probably pay more for a better room if I were to stay again but this fitted the budget at the time.

Best quality apartments in St Kilda. I have been staying here since 2012 and Hamptons St Kilda is my accomodation of choice when coming on business to Melbourne. Quality Bathroom with pure white crisp towels and a Fully appointed Kitchen, with a nice sized lounge area. Washing machine and dryer too boot. Bedrooms are comfortable, clean crisp white cotton bedding. There really is nothing not to like here. There is no onsite parking bit in the locale there are free street spots. Some good coffee spots along Chapel and Carlisle Sts and a varying array of places to eat. Tram into the city if you need it is close by. I can highly recommend this quality accomodation.

Mia moglie e io abbiamo soggiornato qui qualche settimana fa, e si trova in un luogo molto centralizzato e a un prezzo ragionevole, che sono le caratteristiche di rimborso. La posizione e le camere sono sicuramente più belle nelle foto, mentre le camere sono grandi e ben progettate sono molto vecchie e indossate... frigo dentato, mobili danneggiati, luci a letto che non funzionano, ecc. è tutto perfettamente viabile non è proprio quello che mi aspettavo la gente era amichevole, ma il posto ha solo bisogno di un po' di TLC. Se pensi che questo sia un hotel boutique ben ristrutturato, sarai deluso, ma se stai cercando un alloggio convenientemente situato, a prezzi ragionevoli con basse aspettative sarà perfettamente adattato.

Great location, good price

Mia sorella e io abbiamo avuto il miglior tempo a Base St Kilda! È un ostello estremamente sociabile e abbiamo incontrato alcuni dei nostri migliori amici qui che abbiamo continuato a incontrare la costa orientale! (Il bingo è un dovere!) Anche se abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con la prenotazione per un viaggio con Happy Travels, è stato risolto e siamo molto grati per entrambe le squadre per acomodare e aiutarci a sistemare tutto! Molto consiglio di rimanere qui, specialmente se sei solo e vuoi trovare alcuni amici per la vita! Grazie Base!

I had few questions before arriving and they promptly responded with satisfactory answers. They even allowed early check-in because of availability - that is much appreciated. Our room was clean & tidy. Hotel lobby is full of lovely art pieces. Overall, loved our 4 night stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed here quite a while back when visiting Melbourne and thought we would try it again. We enjoyed the location and the nearby cafes and supermarket but this time we were very disappointed on so many levels. We were charged on our credit card instead of the usual holding deposit. We did not want the charge of the credit card fee and the guy at reception did not advise us that we could avoid this by using EFTPOS. The kitchen bench and cooktop were dirty with white residue when we walked in. We were advised prior to arriving that due to Covid, the room would not be serviced which we understood. However, upon returning to the room after a day out at 6pm, on the 2nd day of our arrival, we noticed our front door was ajar and not closed properly. Apparently, housekeeping came and left clean towels, but the dirty towels not taken. One bed was made and the others not. We were very angry that our room was left open which was a security risk. We complained to numerous people at reception and asked for compensation at this breach. We were refunded our parking for the duration we were there. We were very fortunate that nothing was stolen, Also, when turning on the exhaust fan in the kitchen, all this white stuff fell out all over the food we were preparing on the cooktop. Disgusting! The remote in the bedroom aircon did not work and staff did not try to get another - just said 'sometimes they get mixed up”. The button to press to turn on was too high up to reach. The shower was difficult to get a decent temperature of water - either boiling hot or cold! The WiFi was disconnected after 2 days and when we called and asked why, they replied that we were checking out. We advised that we only checked in the previous day!!! It seems they had used a password for a previous customer and not changed or extended it. The parking on site is $10 a day but if you have a car parked opposite you, it's a little tricky to get out. Driving out of the gate, there is a steep dip and it scratches the bottom of the front of the car. I would not recommend this place and next time we visit Melbourne, we will look elsewhere.

L'appartamento era spazioso e aveva tutto quello che voleva, ma aveva un posto strano. Una stazione di caffè vicino alla cucina ma guardando in sala da pranzo, poi un discorso strano che è stato usato come un pozzo e un gabinetto più vicino al salone, anche. Un gran numero di pozzi e pani, ma non un coltello di ioni. Tga stretch è situato su è sorprendente. L'opposto della chiesa è speciale. Infatti ogni edificio era vecchio e architettonico bellissimo.. grande luogo per rimanere in autunno con le foglie di scarico per effetto.. Era tranquillo e bello, ma disgustoso, ucciso e stranamente lodato. Mi piace sentire un caldo e invitare energia quando entro in un hotel questo era proprio lì per darvi twhsy u bisogno di rimanere lontano da casa per una notte in un appartamento da 1 camera in una pittoresca strada in lidilda ....
