First time at the big4 and it didn’t disappoint! Kids were absolutely in love with the place and would love to come back. We stayed in the cosy cabins and they were very clean and a great size for 2 adults, three kids and a dog. Enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to book again.

We recently took our family of 5 to stay at Paradise Country Farmstay. It was a Christmas gift for our children so we opted to get the Eco family tent with ensuite, theme park package and breakfast and dinner package. We were thrilled with every aspect of this weekend. We are not campers so the accommodation was above what I expected. The room and bathroom were both exceptionally clean, better than I've had in some 5 star resorts! Our children are older (20, 15 & 12) so we didn't really do much in paradise country itself, some wandering, a show and animal feeding - my husband and I did the wine tasting too! We managed to get to Wet n Wild the first afternoon, Seaworld the next day and Movieworld on the way home! The food was brilliant and plentiful to say the least. Staff were fantastic, big shout out to ”Teena”, such a great lady and so much fun. All in all this was a bit of a fill in holiday as we can't travel overseas BUT it went beyond our expectations, and we would definitely return if we wanted a base near the gold coast. The only thing missing was being able to sit out with a drink from the bar on their gorgeous lawn! Thank you to everyone at the farmstay.

Needed to book a place fairly quickly in the area, so checking accommodation online and found a place but seen another at a cheaper price. Called the property and the lady said she would match the price if I sent her the advertisement. Did this, she called back and kindly matched the price. There are obviously different managers of these various apartments. Directions to reception were a little sketchy but found the place only to be told the apartment was in another location a short drive away. Was given a map and managed to find the place with not too much trouble, only went astray once. The two-bedroom apartment was located in a gated community in a quite location. From my experience, I think the cleaners don’t do a good enough job in any rental accommodation as there is not much attention to detail, and this place was no exception. The lounge cushions were in serious need of a wash (they actually smelt) and there was a previous guests octopus strap under the tv unit (couldn’t miss it really). Rubbish under the bed as well. But in the main it was reasonably neat, clean and tidy. However, like a lot of these places there were a few maintenance issues. The furniture was a bit dated. The tv unit had a missing drawer. The bed squeaked and the joints moved a bit if you turned over (not because of any ‘over enthusiastic activity’ I might add). The joints seriously needed tightening up. Shower had no caddy to put soap/shampoo on etc. There was some sort of bracket there but obviously the assembly had broken some time ago and not replaced. The TV didn’t work so I called reception and luckily, I caught the lady before she finished for the day. She sent around the maintenance man who quickly sorted the problem, the TV remote had been stolen by some previous guest. Not surprisingly either, the cleaners had not reported it. Anyway, he went away and later came back with a suitable remote and it was after hours as well. This guy was very friendly, professional, and really went out of his way to help us. For this part, he provided exceptional customer service. The outdoor furniture on the balcony had also seen better days. Apartment was on the second floor and looked out over busy Oxenford Southport Road, but noise inside the apartment was very minimal. Was within comfortable walking distance of Hope Island Shopping Centre but be careful of golf carts whizzing around. Wifi was good. Bit of a mixed feeling about this place. Would I stay here again. Maybe, but I would do a bit more research first. If you are thinking of staying here, I strongly advise you do your research as well, because it depends on what apartment you get as to how good and well maintained it is and of course, how good your stay is. My welcome email read ‘At The Peninsula we strive to achieve high standards and always aim to exceed your expectations’. All I can say is more ‘striving’ is needed.

Room was spacious, clean and seems new. Love the carpark which links straight to lobby. They were very nice and gave us a sweet message and treat as my husband and I were on our honeymoon trip. Downside was on the security deposit. They charge it to my card and refunded only after a few days. If it is a hold amount, there should not be any charges. If they charged the amount, the refund should be immediate on the same day. We booked assessable room which was for the handicap. The doors are automated etc. The reception said they were unable to reach me by phone call and they couldn't email me because I booked via third party vendor. It would have been better if they can contact via email which they chose not to. This is something which they could have improved and definitely will improve our stay experience. Other than this, everything else was great! Note: When we drove to Mantra, right in front of the hotel was a cemetery. Just in case anyone superstitious, this info may be helpful.

We only spent a night there but it was a magical location. Beautiful views of the canals. Glorious sunrise. Excellent attention. If we ever need to stay in the Gold Coast then this hotel will be in the list.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 6 notti. Il servizio in camera era povero senza asciugamani forniti 2a e 4a notte doccia sapone dispenser vuoto 2a notte è stata riempita per la 3a notte. Nessun liquido di lavaggio fornito dopo la 3a notte fino alla fine del soggiorno. Dopo la 4a notte, ho lasciato una nota chiedendo asciugamani e lavanderia liquida, ma non è successo. Bene per una notte, ma non consigliamo di rimanere a lungo.

Siamo rimasti nel tre livelli di penthouse, così le viste erano spettacolari. Il posto era molto moderno e pulito. I letti erano molto comodi e le bagni erano spaziose. La piscina era ben mantenuta e molto raffreddante. Il penthouse era enorme, di 3 piani con grandi spazi, ma la zona di vita era gravemente mancante di mobili. Anche se eravamo solo 2 persone, con 3 ospiti per una notte, il penthouse può dormire da 6 a 8 persone, tuttavia il pavimento dove la cucina e l'area di soggiorno è situato, c'è solo un divano a 3 posti a sedere senza tavolo da caffè. Non c'è neanche una tavola da pranzo. Anche i mobili da cortile in questo piano sono sottostandard. Non c'è posto dove intrattenere a questo livello. Se si desidera intrattenere si prevede di alzare 2 piani al tetto che comprende una tavola da pranzo, soggiorni, spa e BBQ. Purtroppo non c'è cucina al terzo piano che si aspetta di accompagnare la zona BBQ di un penthouse, soprattutto perché è una lunga passeggiata con molte scale dalla cucina al piano inferiore. In generale è un appartamento grande e se avesse più mobili, avrei fornito una ”eccellente” recensione.
