I visited from the UK with my teenage son for October half term. We usually stay at the Atlantis so I was interested to experience a quiet resort away from city. I chose this hotel because I loved the idea of sea view chalets and the bowling / arcade/ entertainment for my son. Rooms The sea view chalets are set along a thin ***** of sand, a couple of meters max at low tide. Although lacking in beach it is nice to sleep so close to the water and at first glance looking out from the room reminds me of over- water villas! The sea view rooms are the quieter area of the resort away from the main pools. Saturday night was busy with music from other chalets, families having bbq's and fishing which gave a relaxed holiday atmosphere rather than annoyance. Dining Breakfast is a buffet which catered to our tastes, pancakes, French toast, pastries, freshly made omelette and fruit. The menu for lunch, dinner and room service is the same and absolutely huge! We've had meals in the restaurant and room service pizza. Prices are really reasonable, under £5 for a kids meal and about £20 for 2 pizzas and soft drinks. Entertainment The bowling alley is brilliant, we also played air hockey and arcade games (£1 each. We haven't done water sports yet but there are people out in kayaks. Pools The pools are lovely. Lots of loungers and space, attentive life guards, clean and the right temperature. All of the staff have been so welcoming, even my son commented on the service, nothing is too much trouble. Travelling as a mum and child we feel really safe here. There's a huge bolt on the inside of the room door which is good, a private beach and security getting in which I like. Tips Water shoes for the beach and getting down to the sand as it is quite stony. Bring cash, there's some confusion about whether you can charge things to the room (it's been about 50:50). Bring a beach cover up / sarong. Lots of ladies in and around the pool fully covered, it felt a bit disrespectful to lie there in a swimsuit (from me, no one looked or said anything but I felt happier a bit covered up). My verdict...although nowhere near as glam as Atlantis, the service and setting are lovely, it hasn't cost an arm and a leg and I'm already planning to return next year! Thank you to all the staff and management for a wonderful visit.

We came for a pool and beach day access. The place is beautiful with modern and stylish design. Staff are super friendly especially Ishara and the lady that greeted us at the beginning. Food is tasty with reasonable price. All in all, will definitely recommend and come again:)

La spiaggia di Lumi è particolarmente buona. La sensazione personale è la migliore spiaggia degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, l'acqua è abbastanza pulita, la sabbia è abbastanza sottile e le onde sono abbastanza grandi. La stanza è molto pulita. La porta è la spiaggia. La famiglia con i bambini può piacere. La porta può giocare a sabbia. Ma non mi piace la spiaggia ora. Da un lato, è troppo vicino al mare, dall'altro, la bagnata è la più profonda della camera da letto, e la stanza piena di sabbia è piena. Inoltre, questo tipo di camera è posizionato, il bar d'acqua è nella parte più profonda della sala, il bagno è nella parte più profonda della camera da letto, e bisogna rimuovere la stanza intera.Il giorno dopo, un altro, e la persona preferisce.

Il posto è così bello, tranquillo e rilassante.Il servizio dell'hotel è meraviglioso. Vorremmo esprimere il nostro ringraziamento al personale di servizio Norman per averci fornito un ottimo servizio quando abbiamo avuto il nostro colazione prima, perché abbiamo solo chiesto che le uova scramblete fossero cucinate bene per il nostro bambino ma ci ha anche servito delle tazze di melone d'acqua e non ci sono sementi, e ai guardiani di vita e ai puliziari che erano così carini e vicini. Apprezziamo i loro gesti gentili nei confronti dei loro ospiti.Vorremmo anche ringraziare il receptionista per averci fornito il numero del conducente del taxi che è così bello e ci ha lasciato a casa in modo sicuro. In tutto abbiamo goduto il nostro soggiorno e certamente torneremo lì!

La stanza è particolarmente pulita, mi piace molto la piscina senza lato, e il casinò del mare. Il personale è molto entusiasta. La colazione è super buona 👍🏻, è un buon posto per le vacanze ♥

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but after my experience at Barako, I felt it was necessary to warn others. We went there for a family dinner and were seated outside on the benches. Within minutes, we were swarmed by mosquitoes, which kept biting us relentlessly. It was so bad that we had to ask to be moved inside after just a short while. To make matters worse, as we were trying to enjoy our meal indoors, we spotted cockroaches crawling around. As someone who works in the health industry, I was truly appalled. A clean and hygienic environment is essential in any food establishment, and this was far from it. Cockroaches are a serious health hazard, and it's alarming that the restaurant is allowing them to be so visible. I would highly recommend that the management take immediate action to address these issues. Both pest control and proper maintenance of outdoor spaces should be a priority, as mosquitoes and cockroaches are not only unpleasant but can also carry diseases. We won’t be coming back, and I would advise others to think twice before dining here. To the restaurant: Please take hygiene and customer comfort seriously. It’s 2024—there are no excuses for this kind of neglect.

We took the national day promo package for 5 days 4 nights from 3-7 December. The promo is until 31st Dec 2024 and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to recharge, rejuvenate, transform or reflect before the new year arrives. I rate this place 10/10 in every aspect. 1. Valet + Luggage : We were welcomed extraordinarily well by Mr Emmanuel from Ghana who was so kind to unload our luggage and park our car. I have never ever received an amazing welcome like this anywhere else in this world. We also enjoyed our lovely conversations and excellent service by Mr Frankelin from Cameroon. 2. We take a bow and a standing ovation for the entire kitchen department and crew. The extremely talented, brilliant and hardworking Chefs : Chef Evan, Chef Roshan, Chef Ananda, Chef Vinod! Their culinary skills are impeccable. What nourishing meals. All our meals were full board. Breakfast , lunch and dinner. Calorie calculated and all the ingredients were life giving! The chefs were so so kind to accommodate our requests and customise our dishes as per our dietary requirements and needs, allergies and spice tolerance. The chefs also went out of their way, above and beyond to surprise us with fabulous scrumptious Sri Lankan dishes using all healthy substitutes and ingredients. We were blown away. 3. A huge shout out to Likith, Mohammed, David and Poe. You guys are superstars! So hardworking and super creative servers and waiters who make the best drinks ever and served us to perfection and took our orders so accurately. Made us feel so at home. Your smiles, kindness and the love you put into the job is amazing. There is a coffee machine in the restaurant. Unlimited free coffee - I’m so in love with the hot chocolate and the cappuccino. 4. To the outstanding Yoga and Meditation instructor, Ms Nimisha! You are simply the best! Your glow and radiance and beautiful heart shows in how passionately and kindly you taught us and guided us throughout the sessions. We thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to all your classes. Every morning we start our day with yoga and in the evening with meditation. Thank you for the sound healing. It really helped us feel so much lighter and release all the heaviness of life’s challenges and stress. I highly recommend all guests to make the best use by attending all yoga and meditation sessions. And please go for the sound healing. It’s so so pure. 5. Shoutout to Akash, Kavishka, Dhanushka, , Shihab, Shohag. Thank you to the housekeeping family and the lovely gentlemen who work so hard , tirelessly and catered promptly to all our needs, to perfection. All our requests were met. The rooms were spick and span, cleaned as white as snow. Our linens, sheets, towers, floors were cleaned so well. Our toiletry and pantry supplies like tea and water were replaced efficiently. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ours has a lovely view of the golf course and the lake. 6. Gym!! Thank you to the best gym coach and fitness trainer ever - M

Bellissima struttura moderna, in un contesto tranquillo e silenzioso. La camera enorme e dotata di tutti i confort con una grande balconata panoramica. Incredibile la piscina. Eccellente il servizio e la dedizione del personale al benessere dell’ospite. Qualche defaillance al ristorante centrale, migliorabile sia per la qualità del cibo, ma sono gusti, che per l’organizzazione del servizio, un po’ lento. Ottima la SPA. Manca qualcosina per raggiungere il livello dei vari Oberoi visitati in India ma comunque uno standard molto alto, ci tornerei sicuramente.
