The hotel was very nice, and the reason this hotel got 5stars was MAINLY because of the staff.Everyone was extremely nice and courteous, and extremely helpful explaining things, processes etc. The room was also nice and clean. If staff wasn’t so amazing, I probably would rate this as a 3. PROS: The staff, the staff, the staff. From the gentleman who checked me in (I never got his name) to Ana at the restaurant & her co-waitress (I never got her name). I mean above and beyond service. No AC In the restaurant and no Cuban coffee, this restaurant staff found a way to hustle and get things done. I can't reiterate enough how happy I was with them. Ana needs a raise or promotion, she was the best. Also, pros are how clean the rooms are, the nice rooftop terrace, parking is right across if you rented a car, property is older but well maintained, and seemed safe as well. The breakfast buffet was also really good. And the hotel was generally very clean all around. The location is spot on, right next to this boardwalk which was nice and had some areas to walk around. Wi-Fi worked very well too, when I run out just let them know downstairs and they’ll reload it. CONS: Now these cons were frustrating, but I felt it was worth mentioning if it wasn't for the staff at the hotel, I probably would've left 3 stars. Unfortunately these were issues the staff has no control over. Pool was closed for remodel (they should have communicated this as it was chose this hotel in the first place). Restaurant has between 2-4 options from the menu, and that's it, literally nothing else, so be prepared for this, makes it difficult because you get handed a 5 page menu, and about 90% of it you can't even get. Another con, I guess I looked Cuban because the first time we went to restaurant (before they knew me) they said they couldn't serve me, turns out they didn't know I was a guest, and said they could serve guests of the hotel which was interesting, after that first time they didn't do it again, at the restaurant at least. Upstairs at the terrace, every time "are you a guest?" So often that I made a joke saying I would buy a shirt saying "Yes I am a guest" just so they wouldn't ask anymore, not a big deal, but it was a bit frustrating, almost as if I would've said no, their treatment would've been different. Finally, perhaps the most impactful CON, the A/C, there were power outages every day which means they were on generator power quite often, unfortunately the A/C was blowing hot air. This was so frustrating, again not the staffs fault at all. HOWEVER, the staff was the best, they offered me to move to their partner hotel San Carlos and what a day & night experience the rooms and the A/C were at the San Carlos. In summary, the Staff saved the day. There are minor frustrations and changes they could make, but nothing major. I would recommend to the management to maybe buy some fans as alternatives should the A/C go out. Also, maybe post on website or confirmations that po
