During my recent stay at The House Tour Midtown in Bandung, I was intrigued by the hotel's aesthetic design, which looked impressive in the online pictures and Instagram posts. However, my overall experience turned out to be a mixed bag, with some positive aspects but also several areas that need significant improvement. Firstly, the hotel's online portrayal was somewhat misleading, as it appeared much larger and more grandiose in pictures than it actually was in reality. As a small 2-star hotel, it lacked the spaciousness and scale that the images suggested, leading to a bit of disappointment upon arrival. The location of the hotel in a residential area did offer a quieter environment, but it was fortunate to be near Bandung's popular cafes and culinary options, making it convenient for exploring local eateries. Unfortunately, during my visit, the hotel was undergoing renovation, which limited the available amenities and activities. This was disappointing, especially for guests who were looking forward to enjoying some downtime at the hotel. On the positive side, the hotel staff deserves praise for accommodating my early check-in request at 10 a.m. Their friendliness and willingness to assist were appreciated. Additionally, they upgraded my room type, which was a pleasant surprise and added to the overall experience. The room itself was aesthetically pleasing, featuring well-thought-out decor and design elements. However, the quality of the linen and towels was subpar. They appeared worn-out and lacked the freshness and crispness one would expect from a hotel, indicating a need for improvement in this area. Throughout my stay, it was evident that The House Tour Midtown is managed by a local management team. While the staff were polite and helpful, there were noticeable maintenance issues within the hotel that required attention. The overall upkeep of the property left something to be desired, impacting the overall impression of the establishment. In conclusion, The House Tour Midtown in Bandung offers an aesthetically pleasing experience, but it falls short in several critical areas. The hotel's small size and limited amenities, coupled with the ongoing renovation, created a less-than-ideal stay. The friendly staff, early check-in flexibility, and room upgrade were positive aspects, but the quality of linen and towels and the maintenance of the property need serious attention. With necessary improvements, The House Tour Midtown could become a more appealing option for travelers seeking a charming stay in Bandung.

For a 2-star hotel, this place is quite overbudget compared with its facilities and room qualities. Towel hanger in my room is broken it even collapse when I tried to hang my clothes there. The room is not cleaned completely, debris are still flying make my sister (that is sensitive with it) sneezed everywhere. However, the ambience of the hotel is astonishing. Located in the higher side of Bandung (upper Ciumbuleuit to be exact) make the place very comfortable. Its interior design is very good and matched the surroundings. This hotel is good for couples. Hope the management will take action to make the room cleaner, reliability for its components needs to be fixed so people will more comfortable to stay
