I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, our room was extremely hot and unwelcoming. We turned on the air conditioning, hoping it would cool the room by the time we returned. Unfortunately, it didn't work. We had to call reception, and a mechanic informed us the air conditioning had issues and needed fixing, which was very inconvenient as it was already late at night.
The receptionist offered to change our room, but since we requested a high floor, she suggested we move back the next day when we were checking out. Considering all the trouble, an upgrade or some form of compensation would have been more appropriate. When we asked to speak to the manager, he insisted on the same impractical solution, despite the late hour. Additionally, the hotel has very thin walls; we were disturbed by noise from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to sleep.
This situation could have been avoided if the hotel checked each room's condition before allowing guests to occupy them. It was disappointing, especially since we booked months in advance. The hotel staff, including the managers, need better training in customer service and language skills, as many struggled with English.
