Howard Johnson Suites by Wyndham San Diego Chula Vista/BayFt

I stayed there for less than 8 hours, a little bit pricey ($70USD) considering that only spent the night there. The room had a different layout compared to an average hotel room. When entering the room immediately to the left there was a love seat in front of a wall mounted TV. To the right was a small kitchen with an electric stove, which surprised me because for the price and type of hotel wouldn't have expected to have one. On the second part of the room was the bedroom (actually the room layout consisted of two little rooms). In that same space was the bathroom. The size of the room was ok considering the layout. In other words it was like a small apartment. The atmosphere of the room was weird, I didn't see anything dirty but the room had this smell like old, dusty and not clean. I think the problem could be the carpet because the walls and bed seem to be OK. I was offered a breakfast as part of my stay but because of the hurry I didn't tried. As far as I could see there was fruit (apples and bananas) and cereal. As I said, I didn't stay long enough to "discover" more about the room but I could only recommend it for a quick nap to continue with your trip.

Multiple Roaches in the room. With this being a high booked weekend(Ironman). Rooms were in high demand. I kept all of my stuff in the car minus the roaches, the stay would have been fine. I stayed at three motels during the week and all had roaches. Maybe that's just the way this ***** and San Diego rolls

I stayed one night so I could take the trolley to the border the next morning. For this the location was fine, only a few blocks from the trolley station. The room, however, can best be described as worn and “dated.” I was given a kitchenette with an electric stove that had to be over 50 years old. Lucky I didn’t plan to use the kitchen as there were no plates or utensils that I could locate. While adequately sized, I would not describe it as clean. Breakfast was included but was nothing special. Given several similar priced motels in the area, I would not even consider staying there again.

1) I asked for 2 beds, and got only 1 2) The bathroom was dirty and the ceiling above the tub was dripping water and had a hole in it, and looked like it was going to fall into the tub any minute. 3) The carpet was dirty. 4) The curtains had sticky brown stains on them.

Booked this hotel to stay with my mom and baby girl. Got there by 11pm and it didn’t look good at all, but because it was so late, I went in anyway. When I signed the rules, it seem very weird that they had to state there were not hour or half hour availability. The property got even worst when we went up the stairs. People was hanging out drinking. Graffiti in the stairs. Looked very unsafe. When we went in the room, roaches ran everywhere. In the kitchen, on the bed, everywhere. It was terrible. The sofa looked so nasty, I could not believe it. Felt very unsafe, very uncomfortable. I had to leave in the middle of the night to look for a place to sleep with my baby. I got a refund, but I don’t think this place should even be open.

The staff were fantastic – friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for your service
