Hotel in zona Richmond Community Garden, Christchurch

Excellent location! So close to everything in the city centre, we used the valet parking service and didnt take the car out once!, we could easily walk everywhere. We stayed 3 nights in a 1 bedroom suite, which was nice and clean, well appointed, and with a super comfy bed. They even had a wee sewing kit and a toothbrush kit, which are definitely things we've needed on our travels! Facilities in the hotel were great and staff were very friendly and attentive. Quintin from concierge was so helpful, and helped make our stay extra special by organizing wine and platters and delivering balloons to our room for our arrival :) Breakfast was also really yummy. Thank you Fable Christchurch! We really enjoyed our stay :)

Stayed four nights at this hotel which has a great location and within walking distance to most attractions and restaurants. Check in was good and paid parking plentiful. Unfortunately, the lift was not working on our arrival so we had to leave our luggage in our car and walk up to the third floor. The hotel is dated and grubby as was our room. There was a trolley of dirty towels and linen left in the hallway for over 24 hours during our visit, this is unacceptable! The bed was comfortable but the bathroom towels were very thin. One day we returned to our room at 4.00pm and the room was not made up. I understand the vacated rooms are made up first but after a full day of sightseeing, it would be good to return to a tidied room. I have stayed at various Quest hotels in Australia as I am a member but this is by far the worst. As such, I could not recommend this hotel to other travellers.

I stayed at this hotel again principally because it is an Accor property in the CBD (as I am an ALL Platinum) - but that is really about it. The hotel is passable for what one expects of a Novotel, but it is getting quite dated and the carpet stains in the room are too pointed a reminder of the hotel's age. The bed is soft and the generous number of pillows and cushions make for a very comfy night in. While it is in the CBD, it is a fair walk from most places of note in the city. Since my previous visit, the reception staff have improved in service and manner. I was disappointed that as I left a shirt in my room's cupboard, I had to call a few times to follow up on its search as the promised return call did not come until I called again (the shirt was never found). What is most disappointing is the restaurant. While the quality of the food is acceptable, it is quite overpriced for Christchurch and the restaurant's setting. Despite only having a handful of tables for dinner, I had to approach the wait staff when I wanted a table, to order, get a drink, or receive the check. Similarly, the bar staff are not as proactive as one may expect to come to tables and take drink orders, even when one is the only patron at the bar. My biggest complaint is the breakfast. On one of the mornings I even had to set my own table. Empty juice dispensers are not refilled for quite some time; the only eggs served are scrambled, the only non-meat ”hot” offering are potatoes and beans. Perhaps there is is a concern that some patrons are allergic to tomatoes, green leaves, salad, vegetables, and mushrooms? After two nights I moved to another hotel in Christchurch and am much happier.

How many adjectives can I use to explain our experience with this magnificent establishment? Beautiful, classy, pristine, welcoming, warm! It is a step back in time in the right way. They have encapsulated the essence of what the early 1900s may have been like with the bar staff being spot on, cheerful and skilled. The decor is grand, making you picture the pastimes grandeur. The pool and gym area are to die for and it takes on a different feel when u are beneath ground level. Our two bedroom suite was no less than perfect in every way. Bed comfy and huge, bathrooms on point. Even with a 12 yr child in tow, we were never made to feel less than welcomed and special. No road noise, no neighbouring sounds. Even the gentleman doing the early morning cleanup on the entrance was pleasant and helpful. Will return next time we visit Christchurch.

L'hotel è in una grande posizione, ma è un grande hotel. Il personale è molto piacevole e lo rendono più personale. Esso è vicino alle negozi, ristoranti/caffetteri, il tram e la maggior parte di quello che la città di Christchurch deve offrire. Non chiediamo di solito asciugare i tovaglioli puliti ogni giorno, ma non dovevamo appendere per asciugare abbastanza e nessuna asciugatrice elettrica come abbiamo avuto nella maggior parte degli altri hotel abbiamo soggiornato in NZ. In generale una piacevole soggiorno e nessun problema con il parcheggio valet.

La mia stanza non era pulita nonostante avessi fatto un annuncio di guardia per la giornata; quando sono tornato nella mia stanza la sera, mi è stato detto che la mia prenotazione non includeva la custodia. Il sito di Breakfree a Cashel citato custodia di casa è disponibile. Non mi è stato detto che la mia prenotazione non ha dato questo servizio. Inoltre, mi è stato detto di raccogliere i nuovi asciugamani da me stesso al conto. Non mi sembra che l'hotel non sia al punto di vista in questo senso. Altre cose che non sono molto felice sono che lo spazio è troppo piccolo per imballare e sballare facilmente il mio bagaglio, ma immagino di avere quello che ho pagato, che va bene. Ho deciso di trasferirmi in un altro hotel per il resto del mio viaggio a Christchurch per le ragioni sopra esposte - Signor Presidente, signore.

Excellent hotel just a stone’s throw from Cathedral Square, and a few minutes walk from the bus interchange. Lovely staff and spotlessly clean large room. Was lucky enough to be there the morning they first opened for breakfast in the L5 restaurant, which I can highly recommend - the home made lemon curd yoghurt and granola was delicious! Looking forward to staying again.

La Ibis Christchurch ha un bel sentimento boutique. La sicurezza è grande come la porta anteriore chiude alle 10 e si usa la chiave della camera per entrare. La mia camera aveva un frigo, caldaia, toletta a parete e a/c (uraggio!). Per qualche motivo ho avuto una camera accessibile in diversi piani in entrambi i soggiorni dell'hotel. Il bagno è enorme, ma non vedo una sedia a rotelle nella sezione del dormitorio perché era un po' stretto vicino al letto. Il letto era comodo e la camera era pulita. Il pranzo era il prezzo usuale di marrone, funghi, pomodori, uova scramble, salsa, ham, prodotti dolci, cereali, frutta e succhi.Amo la macchina del caffè. Il nostro tour ha avuto una cena all'hotel, che consisteva di salate di frutta, zuppa di minestrone, pollo in salsa di funghi, cizi dolci e verdure decente. Non sono sicuro che il ristorante sia abitualmente aperto per cena e di cosa il loro menu consiste. La posizione dell'hotel è perfetta, in particolare il mercato Riverside. C'è un mini-mart & souvenir shop vicino alla porta, così come un piccolo supermercato metro a 5 minuti a piedi sulla strada Lichfield.
