Where to start! If you are looking for a few nights away from the bustle of Chinese cities and you want to relax and unwind in nature then Suxi Qingshan Forest Homestay is perfect! The hotel is easily accessible from Chengdu. A short 25 minutes train ride from Chengdu to Qingchengshan station and then the hotel staff will arrange to pick you up. As soon as you arrive you will realise what an absolute gem this hotel is! The hotel is nestled amongst the hills with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. This is a luxury hotel with the services and infrastructure to match. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea upon arrival and you also have the possibility to enjoy a hot water jacuzzi, a fitness area, walks around the hotel forest grounds as well as many other experiences proposed by the hotel. The hotel is only 15 mins drive from Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the hotel staff organised transport there and back for us. We would recommend this Panda reserve as it is much quieter than the reserves in Chengdu! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was truly exceptional! We chose the set menu, which took us on a culinary journey through Sichuan. Each plate was refined, delicious and made using fresh ingredients. The breakfast was equally delicious, fresh and healthy. We would like to highlight the kindness and warmth of all the hotel staff. They were always available to answer any questions and organise activities to make our stay magical. The hotel staff were able to communicate with us in both English and French. We stayed at Suxi Homestay looking for a relaxing few days away from cities and we were blown away by the experience! We would have loved to have extended our stay!

The bubbling sound of the teapot in the tea room perfectly soothed the agitation, while the gentle clash of leaves as the wind blew through the trees eased the tension in one's mind. During the day, you can go to the sound therapy room to lie down and listen to the specially designed gong sounds penetrating your body, like an invisible pair of hands gently massaging the tense nerves; or you can learn to play the shakuhachi under the guidance of a teacher, watching as the breath flows within the tube, expelling pent-up emotions with each exhalation. As the dusk deepens, you can sit on a cushion on the terrace, listening to the gentle rustling of the evening breeze, the lingering sounds winding around the eaves, harmonizing with the distant chirping of insects, even causing your breathing to slow by half a beat. When you awaken in the dead of night, opening the window will let the evening breeze carry the melodious sound of bamboo into your room, as if nature is softly reciting verses in your ear, coaxing you back into a dream. Here, sound serves as the best healer; there's no need to deliberately seek tranquility; simply let the five notes flow through your ears and into your heart, and those indescribable feelings of exhaustion and tangled worries will gradually settle and dissipate as the tones of gong, The voice serves as a healer.After the song ended, I felt a sense of relief.
