Akti Beach Hotel & Village Resort

We travelled to Paphos and stayed at the Akti Beach Hotel & Village Resort between 27th September and 7th October 2024, travelling with Jet2 Holidays, with All Inclusive Board. We stayed in Room 757, a Junior Suite. WiFi in the room was excellent and throughout the hotel. The transfer to the hotel takes about 40 minutes but that was late at night so don't know if traffic affects that during daylight hours. The hotel is older than surrounding hotels and there is lots of development further away from the hotel and it is competing with other larger newer hotels but do not be fooled by this, it is punching well above its weight. We arrived about 1130pm and greeted by the check in staff and from that moment onwards they set the bar and which was repeated day after day by all staff. They were so welcoming, helpful and always at hand, from the check in staff to the room maids, to the restaurant staff and bar staff, all were excellent in welcoming you and always smiling. The room was huge, clean and had a huge balcony with 2 sun-beds on but enough room to fit a further 2 on. Also had 2 chairs and a table and fantastic views along with robes and slippers. Bed was a dream, even looked at finding the make of it but only to find it is made in Cyprus. The main hotel is located on 4 floors. Lower ground which accesses the gym, spa, restaurant (Breakfast and Evening Meal) and to the larger of the 2 outdoor pools and the eating area for lunch and pool bar. The ground floor is reception, lobby main bar (opening on an evening) and access to the rear smaller pool along with its own bar. The front main pool is more vibrant and busier and the small back pool is more quite and sedate and great to chill out. The first and second floors are for accommodation and the hotel is serviced by one lift but using the stairs especially between the Lower Ground and Ground is no hardship.The rest of the hotel is like village accommodation on 2 levels. Next to the hotel is a small "mini mart" which has most things you might need in stock. The front pool area is the main sunbathing area and is divided into 3 areas, around the pool, a grassed area amongst palm trees, which has plenty of sun-beds and finally the beach area which also plenty of beds. There is a dividing wide path between the grassed area and the beach area which is great place to for a walk first thing in a morning. During the time we were there we never saw all the beds full. The second pool has beds around the pool. The distance to the beach shore line from the pool edge is less than 100 metres. The whole area is maintained well and kept clean daily. Always looks well. When it comes to food I am quite a fussy eater and my wife is also Gluten intolerant. But I have to say that this is probably one of the best All Inclusive food I have tasted. Breakfast I always like to have porridge and noted that the porridge was "lactose free" and made from Oats Milk, I had my doubts about this but some of the best porridge

We had a studio room which was immaculately clean and spacious. Cleaner changed towels and bedding every other day, sometimes everyday. The apartments are set in really pretty setting. Passed so many lovely flowers on way back to apartment. Has two outdoor pools and one in door pool in the spa. No need to get up early for a sunbed. Loads of sunbeds. No beach as such but access to the sea is easy. Just down some steps. It’s quite shingley but fine on the feet. But swimming shoes would be good to wear. The water is so clear and clean. Bring goggles as lots of coral to see and tiny fishes if you swim out. Lovely sea breeze to keep you cool.brilliant view of the sun setting each night next to the ship wreck out at sea. Food is a good selection each night. Sometimes the Food could be hotter but it’s warm enough to enjoy. Themed nights on food are good. I quite liked the Mexican night. The fajitas were yummy. Alcohol and cocktails are lovely. Loved the Long Island iced teas. Lunch is served by the pool bar under a lovely covering to shade from sun and again is a good selection of salad and hot food. Daytime entertainment is excellent and Luke is fantastic at running it alongside Sarah. There is French boules. Yoga. Water aerobics. Killer darts, killer pool, shuffleboard and water polo for those feeling energetic. And the evening entertainment is pretty good too. We’ve had a games night. A parrot show. A magic show. Fire show. Dancers. Bingo each night. Plenty of seating inside and outside on the balcony terrace. You can get a bus into paphos harbour or coral bay (615). For 2 euro (3 euros after 9pm) The bus stop is accessible if you go along the path at the back of hotel and just past the King Elvathon hotel is a path up the right hand side that leads you up to the main road and you turn left and the bus stop is a little walk up that main road. There are also electric scooters and bikes for hire along the back path (20 cents per minute) We had a wonderful week. Everyone is so friendly. Would definitely recommend.

taurant and bar staff are friendly and hardworking. The grounds of the hotel are spread over a vast area like a little village and very authentic. The pool area and sunbeds were cleaned every night so they were ready to use the next day. People did save sunbeds but I don’t actually mind unless they are out all day. The pool was cold but you soon warmed up it is all one depth which I prefer. The pool bar opened at 10am daily and the staff were fast and friendly. Music is played around the pool area which was nice. There were activities approx 6 times a day, darts, pool, bowls, water aerobics etc you can join in or not they were not to pushy. There was entertainment in the main bar near the reception every night or you can sit in the main reception sofa area or outside on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful sunset views. Waitress/waiter service is available or you can go to the bar yourself. Drinks were well made and there was a vast choice. Lovely hotel I would return ❤️

Arrived late and reception staff checked us in with a friendly greeting.Supplied us with a snack in a bag and showed us to our room,very spacious with twin beds and a large balcony.21 steps up to the room which took some negotiating after late drinks. Shower caps shower gel and a sewing kit provided was a nice touch.Food was very good and always found something to eat. Drinks are plentiful and staff will take your order at the table as well as the bar. Two Ukrainian members of staff were worth mentioning,Christina on the bars and Victoria who was around the pool area spoke to us every day,and was a little nervous as it was her first week employed at the hotel,and handled it admirably. A mini bus will take you into Paphos old town and the market for €5 return,10.30 till 13.30 which picks you up and drops you back at the hotel. You can walk along the coastal path to Paphos,as we did,which is a struggle in the heat and took us about 75 minutes . We were well impressed with our week here and booked up for next year same time while we were there. Loved it!

Me and my partner stayed here in November 2022, and we had the best time! The staff are so friendly, the hotel is CLEAN. The entertainment was fun and different every night. The food was okay, different themed nights, however my partner really struggled as he’s a very picky eater and there wasn’t many basic foods. The location of the hotel itself is stunning with scenic views of the sea & beautiful palm trees. It’s not far from the local buses and if you fancy taking a nice stroll, from the hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk to the local old town markets, shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again, absolutely lovely hotel

Lovely hotel and staff Amazing Room and balcony. Overlooking sea and pool. But constant loud music!!! Please let us have a siesta in peace. Stop the bang bang, at least turn it down to minimum. And make it melodic. We aren’t all teenagers here It is a beautiful view spoilt by unnecessary noise pollution.
