Ho soggiornato una notte in questo piccolo hotel nel centro di Chinon. Non dispone di ascensore ( visto che è un edificio storico non si possono fare rinnovamenti) e neppure di personale che può aiutare i clienti a portarsi le pesanti valigie in camera anche fino al terzo piano con scale vetuste e pericolose. Ho aiutato io clienti anziani e donne sole a portate la valigia . È iniziato a piovere, ho chiesto alla reception gentilmente un ombrello ma non ne disponevano per i clienti. Durante la colazione non erano presenti cibi caldi come uova bacon ecc...PS sarebbe un Best Western.......

Albergo in pieno centro, un po’ datato con stanze molto piccole. Non c’è l’ascensore perciò è problematico portare i bagagli in stanza anche a causa della scala vetusta e con gradini logori. Wi-fi mal funzionante. Quando io ho alloggiato in questo albergo c’era un concerto nella piazza sottostante e fino a mezzanotte non siamo riusciti a dormire per il gran rumore. Impossibile comunicare con il receptionist perché non sapeva parlare che francese ( non parlava inglese, figuriamoci l’italiano!!)

Hotel is really quaint and done within several very old buildings - as best as possible. Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc.
Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. Requests like - making a call on our behalf to a beauty salon - were met with dismay (by the male).
The breakfast area could be easily mistaken for a US Best Western hotel. Impersonal. Food as well. The only thing - that was really cool - was the giant mural with the Rabelais character - Gargantua (the gourmand).
All in all it is an OK place with strategic location within the downtown.

Beautiful hotel, lovely room with a view of the square, great central location, easy walking distance to the fortress, surrounded by restaurants, staff were very very helpful. The only downside is that there is no elevator, but the staff were happy to help with suitcases. If arriving by train, be sure to book a taxi through the hotel WELL in advance to meet you there, as there are no taxis waiting at the station and there are no Ubers in the entire region.

The hotel was a good size and well situated in the town. We were, however, on the third floor with no lift and I (and many others that I saw) struggled to get our cases up the spiral staircase. The room was fine, but nothing special. There was what looked like a nice patio area outside on the first floor which we didn’t get the opportunity to use. Breakfast had a varied choice, but the room had been decorated with a very modern feel which didn’t really seem to fit with the rest of the hotel. All in all an OK hotel, but nothing to get too excited about.

We arrived on a hot and humid evening and we’re grateful for AC! The staff were welcoming, the rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the property was in good repair. The breakfast room is updated and lovely, with a broad selection of breakfast foods.

Stayed for two nights with wife and teenage son, highly recommend this hotel based on our experience. Very centrally located, pleasant and warm staff, good breakfast choice and comfort. Rooms were good standard and well kept. The hotel doesn't have a bar but it does have a drink supply and you can take your drinks to the open air balcony, with a covered area adjacent which is a good way to wind down the evening.

Hotel ideally situated in centre of town, with ample public parking nearby. . The bedroom was small but clean, comfortable and well appointed. Good shower, nice toiletries. The hairdryer is on a fixed cord, and one of those annoying ‘hold in the switch’ for it to work Excellent buffet breakfast with a great choice. Staff were friendly and helpful

Just returned from visit to France and had a great couple of days staying at the Best Western Chinon. Hotel was very well maintained and the rooms were small but immaculate. Location was perfect for the center of Chinon and staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was trying to find the hotel and where to park on initial arrival in Chinon, as well as, no elevator (no surprise) to rooms above ground level. Otherwise, very comfortable stay and highly recommend this property.
