Overall, the stay was great. Unfortunately, it didn't begin that way; after booking a king bed and checking in, my wife and I went up to the room to discover that it had a queen bed. I called the front desk and they said that there was a plumbing issue in the original room with the king bed, and that there were no more rooms left with king beds. They then offered a complimentary item from the lobby shop for the inconvenience. Upset at paying for a room I didn't get, and for being offered basically a candy bar instead a refund for the difference, I went downstairs to the lobby to speak to the staff. On the way, I checked on my phone and discovered that there were indeed rooms with king beds still being offered for the same dates as my stay. The staff at the front desk insisted that the website was wrong, and that trying to book one of those rooms would result in error; I showed them this was not the case. They then doubled down and showed me their in-house booking system screen, upon which I pointed out five available rooms with king beds. They said that those were more expensive rooms... which makes sense, but I wasn't even offered the opportunity to PAY for an upgrade, let alone be given one at no cost for my trouble. Eventually they did upgrade us to the room with the king bed for free, and still offered a complimentary item from the shop for both my wife and I. I commend the staff for finally making the decision to make things right. They were also very friendly.
