BEWARE of leaving dirty linens they do not clean the room until the end of your stay. They will charge you for it. Staff does not believe in using Clorox. Loud Air Conditioning located next to the bed. Poor lighting outside I nearly tripped coming back from dinner. Bathrooms need exceptional updating. The only thing I can say with positivity is the location; however there are many other hotels on Main Street that have better amenities in good locations and others down on Maddox Blvd. Sorry I chose this one.

Very impressed! It’s a quiet and cozy hotel with very friendly hotel staff and management. We stayed in the new cottage and it was very clean and comfortable. Provided with many amenities such as gas stove, silverware, fridge and freezer, and kitchenette. Staff were very helpful. Located in an area where shops and national park are easily accessible. Definitely recommend for your stay on Chincoteague island!

I stayed in two different rooms at America's Best during my visit (due to scheduling kerfuffles). The most important thing was that I felt safe and welcome there. The rooms were not pristine, but the important things, like the bed, floor, tub, and sink, were sanitary. At this price point, that's more than enough for me. Some positive thoughts: Personal touches, like the welcome bag, were very sweet. I loved seeing their outdoor kitty, Annie, wandering her kingdom. Staff greeted me multiple times while out and about on the property. Also, their TV package is amazing. Another note: the "breakfast" offered at this motel is a voucher for pastry and coffee at AmaRin Bakery next door. It is a fantastic bakery. You do not get breakfast stuff like eggs and bacon. The downsides: This is definitely a place that has been around a long time and could use a major overhaul. Everything has clearly been knocked around for decades and is starting to fall apart. Also, the walls are pretty thin, so having noisy neighbors is a pain. Finally, it's a motel in an island town surrounded by marshland. There will always be a fly or mosquito lurking somewhere. However, I feel as though they are willing to address any issues, and that the property is on its way to being renovated soon. I would be happy to stay there again.

Filthy, moldy room. The bottom of the tub is gray. The A/C barely works. The curtain fell off the window. Lights flicker and the fridge does not work. Do not stay here. Nobody on staff around to help.

Bathrooms are worse than Porta potty in a watermelon field. Owner is unreachable to help with anything and the girl at front desk has about as much authority as a walmart door greeter. It is the worst hotel I have been in and left just 10 mins after check in to go to a clean hotel. Not allowed to modify reservations or cancel just take your money. Please for the love of God shut this place down.

We chose this hotel due to its convenient location in Chincoteague. There was a notice stating that it recently had new ownership and was under renovations. The hotel is older and I could see where some things needed an upgrade. At first glance, the room looked appealing and cozy. However, the bathroom appeared not to have been cleaned properly. There were long dark hairs on the bathroom floor, soap residue at the sink where a bar of soap had been, and worst of all a large dirty ring on the leaky tub. It was quite apparent the tub had not been cleaned and that a really dirty something had been in the tub. My husband mentioned to an employee about the tub and she just shrugged her shoulders. Then I noticed on the dust ruffle around the bed there was a yellowish stain, which looked very gross.
