Great room very good staff see some negatives about noise but didn’t find it at all that noisy we stayed Friday night so bar was in full swing downstairs. Great starting point for walks the canal walk is really nice and a lovely pub about halfway the spotted cow . We would definitely stay here again thank you to everyone at hotel for our lovely time

We stayed at the Vestry over the coldest weekend of the year so far, to attend a family wedding in Chichester. The room was very spacious (we had a Deluxe Ensuite) and there was even a spa bath in the (also spacious) bathroom. The bed was very comfy (though a bit soft for my wife). Once the heater had been going for a while the room was warm enough too but we could never get the bathroom quite as warm even with the heated towel rail going full blast. The TV had access to streaming channels such as iPlayer which was great, and there's free wifi too also fast enough to stream TV. Their breakfasts are excellent (included in the price) and the staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Just a couple of things to be aware of. First, the pub below the rooms have noisy weekend events (which they warn you about) but our room was at the back of the hotel and we barely heard a thing. In any event, there were disposable earplugs on the beds but we didn't need them. Second, there is only very limited parking at the back which is not directly accessible from the hotel - you have to walk through a narrow lane to the high street (however, you can park briefly in front of the hotel to load/unload if you need). If there are no parking spaces they will give you a ticket to a nearby multi-storey car park. They do warn you not to drive into the adjoining Southgate Car park even just to turn around as they have CCTV cameras which will record you and start charging and if you don't pay because you didn't stay you will still be fined! It charges £1.70 ph 24/7. By the way, if you're driving, set your satnav to Southgate Car Park which is at the end of Deanery Close after the Vestry parking spaces. This gave us the correct route around the one-way system.

The rooms are nice and comfortable however the pub was extremely noisy. It had loud music playing late into the evening on a Monday night. I stayed on business and it just wasn't suited to this sort of guest. If you're visiting Chichester for a boozy night out, this place will be perfect for you!

It’s like trying to sleep in a night club….. Impossible. I don’t know how they’ve got the nerve to call this a hotel. They send a confirmation email with all the useful information on it which nobody reads past the useful stuff. If you keep going right to the end it then states this:- ***PLEASE NOTE*** that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, we utilise our late license to play music until 3am in the bar below the hotel and on a Monday night we have karaoke until midnight . As stated on our booking site it is possible for music to travel to rooms on these nights, though this is variable. As a valued hotel guest, we would love for you to join us, we offer our hotel guests free entry and queue jump status. I know this now. This somewhat underplays the 84db I’ve just measured in my room. What’s worse is it’s 2345 and I know I’ve got another three and a quarter hours of this BS. I wouldn’t stay here again if I was paid to. Oh. And the staff are lovely. This is not their fault. I think this is about the owners trying to make as much money out of the building as possible. It’s now nearly 2355……………. 🙁

This is a nightclub with rooms above the bar. Loud music and noisy people carousing until gone 3am. No wonder the hotel kindly place ear plugs on the bedside table! WiFi cuts out regularly which makes calls etc difficult. 😑 Average breakfast.

Bean hosted our bottomless brunch which was absolutely fantastic, his service was incredible! He took care of us throughout the whole experience which made it 10/10 That man deserves a pay rise! Overall a great experience with amazing vibes

Horrible thumping disco music until the early hours. Don't be fooled by their bland blurb stating that " it is possible for music to travel to rooms" which makes it sound like a minor problem. Not very good anyway, saggy bed, mediocre breakfast and dismal tea selection in room. And staff failed to deal with a room toilet problem. I expect better for £120 per night. We like Chichester but we won't stay at this hotel again.

The rooms were comfy and nicely furnished, however the night club music was really loud, we didn’t sleep until 3am when the music stopped. Friendly staff good breakfast. It’s a shame the music below spoiled our stay. We were aware of the club below but didn’t expect it to as bad as it was.
