Hotel in zona Rush University, Chicago

Ho avuto una procedura medica programmata all'ospedale di Rush il 12 ottobre 2022, e quindi, al posto di alzarmi alle 4:30 e fare il viaggio a Chicago, ho deciso di prenotare una stanza nel distretto medico di Marriott. Quando arrivammo, ci salutava un giovane professionista chiamato Gregory, in parcheggio di valle, poi ci andammo a controllare sul desk front, e poi ci salutava un giovane gentile chiamato Michael. Il personale si è spostato di sopra e di là per assicurarsi che il nostro soggiorno fosse estremamente piacevole.Dopo la mia chirurgia, non mi sentivo in grado di guidare a casa, quindi abbiamo deciso di rimanere una notte extra. Quando abbiamo controllato il 13 ottobre, tutti, cominciando con un custode al divano e con un valletto, mi hanno fatto un punto per chiedermi come mi sentivo. Pensavo fosse così pensativo e gentile di tutti. In questo giorno e in questa età è molto difficile trovare dipendenti adeguati, lasciate solo persone buone con un'eccellente etica del lavoro, consapevoli e gentili, e posso dire questo perché la mia carriera era nella gestione dei ristoranti. Ho sempre creduto che se siete buoni ai vostri dipendenti, daranno il 100% per voi e la vostra azienda. Grande lavoro Marriott per trovare e mantenere la vostra gente e l'atmosfera un luogo meraviglioso per rimanere.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at in the U.S. I've stayed at this hostel twice now. The first time was in 2015 and the second time this past month for Market Days. Location: The hostel is centrally located in Downtown Chicago/the Loop. It's easily accessible to get to and from O'Hare Airport via the Blue Line which runs 24 hours. The closest CTA station is Jackson Station which also has connections to many other CTA lines. The hostel is also located within walking distance to many other tourist hotspots like Millennium Park, Broadway shows, Lou Malnati's Pizza (10 minutes), etc. There's also a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of the street that sells liquor and other essentials. On the weekday, the area is bustling with downtown workers, but on the weekends, it's like a ghost town. Most restaurants and stores close by 8/9pm. The only place to eat at if you have a late night is Taco Bell which closes at 2am. Another downside is that there are a lot of homeless people that have set up camp in front and around the hostel, so some people may feel unsafe walking around. Security: The property is very secure. There are multiple entry points to get into the hostel with a key card. There's another entry point to get access to the elevator banks that lead to the rooms as well as required card access to go upstairs and into the rooms. There's also a 24-hour front desk. This was a saving grace for me because my flight from New York was delayed that I ended up arriving at 3:30am. Keep in mind, if you plan to arrive after 3am, you should notify/call the front desk and let them know otherwise they'll mark you as a no-show and cancel your reservation. They also have storage lockers/a luggage room for a fee. Facilities/Amenities: My original reservation was for a 4-bed male dormitory, but there was someone sleeping in my assigned bunk. When you arrive, there is a fitted sheet, pillow sheets, a bath towel, and a face towel (no comforter). You are expected to make your bed. Since I arrived so late and my roommates were already asleep, the overnight staff (DJ) was nice enough to put me in an 8-bed dormitory that was unoccupied, so that I didn't wake up anyone. Both rooms were very spacious/high ceilings/massive windows with a lot of space to store luggage and walk around. All the rooms have lockers (bring your own lock or buy one at the front desk). In the 4-bed dorm, there is a common area with a kitchen/bathroom that connects with 2 suites. The 8-bed room is setup where the toilet, shower, and sink are all in separate areas instead of all in one room. The shower area has dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There are also common showers and toilets on every floor. The downside of the dormitory is that you can't control the temperature of the room. Summers in Chicago are hot and humid and the room was kept in the 60s, which I loved. But, my roommates thought it was too cold for them. The WiFi access is very stable and fast. Th

Abbiamo avuto fortuna e una buona stanza senza violazioni significative della salute. Le strutture sono molto date, ma ci aspettiamo di farlo leggendo le recensioni. Un fattore allarmante è che le serrature non funzionano affatto. Il check-in era buono, ma il ricevitore non era molto comunicativo.

La nostra stanza non aveva luci? Solo lampade, il che rendeva piuttosto difficile la visione. Per il resto, tutto è andato come previsto.

È un bel hotel. La stanza era molto pulita. L'iscrizione non era problema. Molto bello per noi. Era solo un parcheggio a mezzo isolato. Ma abbiamo trovato un parcheggio sulla strada sul lato opposto del blocco. Puoi lasciare le tue cose davanti all'hotel e controllare prima di andare a trovare il tuo parcheggio. Molti posti per andare a mangiare nella zona. Non sono sicuro, ma penso che questo sia parte della Cinatown. Se non è proprio accanto a lui. Certamente rimarremo di nuovo.

If you are claustrophobic, this may not be the hotel for you. It is cute and clean, the staff was all amiable, and it is in a stellar location. However, this is a 100+-year-old building, and charming as it may be, the age of the building shows. The two elevators are tiny. We were in a single queen room on the 16th floor. The hallways to our room were super narrow, and the room was quite possibly the tiniest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bathroom is tight with no extra space to unpack toiletries so I was thankful to have a hanging organizer with me. The room was clean and adequate, bed was comfortable enough for one night, and breakfast the next morning was the usual HI Express fare, which is always a pleasure. We chose this hotel for the location.

Great location, and good price, amazing people at reception and valet. Friendly and accommodating, humble staff. Always willing to help. Good clean rooms, not really posh luxury or modern but well kept and clean, specially the shower/toilet bathroom is super clean. The area is super busy specially the street where you drop your car for valet but it works smooth without any troubles. One extra ordinary point: check in check out is smooth, straight forward and the quickest I have experienced.

Loved this location, right off Michigan ave with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and transportation. We had the perfect view from the 5th floor, and the front staff was super helpful, and friendly.
