Alishan House

Hotel is slightly dated looking and really expensive tbh. But food is generally good and location is convenient enough as it is walkable to important places in Alishan. There is also a shuttle bus that brings you between the hotel, Alishan train station, bus transit station, and visitor centre. A great plus to the service, except many times it’s kinda confusing. There’s no clear signs to indicate where the bus would pick you up etc so we nearly missed it when reaching Alishan train station for the first time. We also missed it a 2nd time when the driver drove past us, probably thinking that there’s no one needing to be picked up. Attached the schedule for the shuttle bus as of April 2025, hope that helps someone. Service from front desk area was mid at best, sometimes good enough, but sometimes they act like they have better things to do than to answer your queries. ESPECIALLY when their shuttle bus services are so confusing and we needed some clarification. Anyway, the service by the restaurant staff and shuttle bus drivers were superb, they were very friendly and efficient. Overall, genuinely not sure how to rate this hotel. Oh we also spotted a monkey right outside our balcony 😅

Amazing location and great service from the staff. The front desk helped to drive us to the Alishan station to catch the train to Chiayi at the end of our stay. Also has an observation deck to view the sea of clouds in the evening. Only complaint is the price.

Big room with two king size beds. But small children also charged full price, a little unreasonable Such a big hotel only come with one washing machine and one dryer, always long queue

Beautiful and clean hotel. Great buffet breakfast. Shuttle bus is convenient to take to and from visitor center and hotel. Hotel close to trails. Would have liked full doors on toilet and showers.

Excellent location to visit the famous Alishan Notional Park in Taiwan. We use it as a hub to see all the sight seeing spots within the Park.

The service is good, and same as food. There is free transfer from bus station.
