Questa bomboniera si trova a circa 300mt dal Castello , comodo e molto pulito. La nostra stanza era nel sottotetto del corpo centrale e ci si arriva con tre rampe di scale senza ascensore, nulla da recriminare perché in questi piccoli villaggi francesi è così, c’è una piscina ma noi non ne abbiamo fatto uso , ci si arriva attraversando la strada ed è ad uso esclusivo degli ospiti della struttura. Il ristorante è a mio parere da gourmet, ottimo cibo e ben servito, lo staff è molto attento e cura ogni dettaglio, abbiamo cenato in giardino con la visione di mongolfiere che attraversano il cielo, è stato bellissimo. Location che consiglio.

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel per la vicinanza al castello (3minuti a piedi) e perché sul sito ci era sembrato molto bello. Alla reception abbiamo trovato del personale molto gentile che ci ha dato una buona impressione. La camera era carina però era fronte strada al piano terra e se tenevamo le finestre aperte tutta la gente che passava vedeva dentro. L’hotel meriterebbe anche un punteggio più alto però non ci sono stati i servizi e le accortezze di un 5 stelle tenendo conto anche di quello che abbiamo pagato. Camera e colazione non erano all’altezza.

Struttura prossima al famoso castello, a non più di 5 min a piedi. Bella, particolare, pulita, noi avevamo una stanza nel corpo di fronte a quello principale, dall’altra parte della strada statale. Ampia e pulita, forse l’unica pecca la stretta scala a chiocciola per raggiungerla. Completano l’hotel una piscina a disposizione di tutti i clienti dell’hotel ed un ristorante. Nel ristorante ci abbiamo cenato due sere. Ottimi piatti della cucina francese, ben curati. Carta dei vini eccezionale, sia per la varietà delle etichette sua dei prezzi (nel senso alti). Personale educato e competente.

After we visited Chenonceau castle we wondered if we would be able to eat. In France it is almost impossible to eat after 2:00 pm except for quick food!! We called the Auberge and they said that they were happy to have us. The place is beautiful, spotless and the staff courteous and professional. The food was inventive, delicious and healthy. Definitely worth a visit

The property is very well located to visit the local and impressive chateau, as well as those in surrounding towns. Success over the years has clearly enabled the family owners to expand the property and so the hotel has prominent position in the centre of the village. Facilities are great (the pool and gardens are lovely), and the tasting menu in the restaurant was excellent (perhaps the best of our 3 week trip). Breakfast is disappointingly not included in the room rate and at 24EUR is expensive. We were also frustrated that the small buffet was being cleared while we were still eating and choosing items, which left us feeling uncomfortable. Overall, it is a lovely hotel, and a good base for the local area. Some of the staff did not seem very happy, which (we feel) could be felt in the service we received, and the cost of our stay was at the top end of what we paid throughout our trip which we didn't feel matched our experience.

Restaurant only: very disappointing, especially as we have been before and really loved it a few years ago The service is really lacking finesse and speed (4 hrs for a 3 service menu?!) The food is un-original and not well seasoned (unforgivable for a chef that used to have a star rating!) The veggie menu one of us had was very poor; The main dish of our main menu, was poorly prepared and lacked any sort of complexity in tastes. The dessert was a saving grace and clearly the dessert chef maintains a high standard unlike any of her/his colleagues Price most certainly does not match quality and given the wonderful location, the great setting and lovely terrace, this is even more a disappoin**ent. Major overhaul needed on the food!

Charming small hotel. Lovely accommodating staff, fantastic food and wine in both the bistro and restaurant, spotlessly clean, supremely comfortable beds. Situated in the middle of the village within very easy walking distance of the Château. Lovely private outdoor pool and gardens. We will most definitely return. Many thanks to all the team

This is what a quality hotel should feel like! We are still here but I'm writing this while I think about it. From the moment we checked in, the staff were courteous friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Graciana, Candice and Vishnal particularly but the sommelier was also great. ( We didn't know the names of others but EVERYONE is super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a privilege room, ground floor with a bath, separate walk in shower and separate toilet. The bed is 2m across which suits us , and outside is a courtyard area to service the rooms in the annexe. We had pre dinner drinks in the MAIN courtyard in delightful 24 degree early evening sun, and then had the gastronomic menu in the main restaurant. We may never eat again! We are so full but in addition to the 6 listed courses, there were amuse bouches, between courses soup, pre dessert dessert and as many hVe mentioned, the infamous drunken cherries that go with the coffee etc... other reviewers have forgotten to mention the mii florentines, mango jellies, nougat and chocolate truffles that also can accompany that! The food was magnificent, the service impeccable and the rooms are stunning. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! And when we staggered back to the room, we found biscuits and chocolate waiting for us too! I think they will keep until tomorrow! Just superb stay. Well done to everyone who works there- you made our night!
