Summer Island Service Apartment (Chengdu Taikoo Li)

We didn’t get the room that we wanted, but they upgraded us to a two bedroom instead with the view of the taikoo li which is nice! They have all the things you need. If you’re looking for a place to stay at for a few days, this would be it. You can cook and even do the laundry.

Very happy with the location of this apartment. We stayed 2 nights here, left our luggage at apartment for one night and went back to stay for another night. Was given a room on the 38th floor for the first stay and on the 19th floor when we returned. Both rooms are with the same facing, not facing Taikoli. 19th floor apartment windows facing another building. We were told to restrict our shower time to 15mins each and to wait 20 to 30mins between showers during our stay on the 38th floor. Apartment is equipped with washer and dryer including liquid washing detergent. 4 bottles of drinking water daily, bedroom slippers, hand moisturiser and even facial cleanser which we did not use. Staff in charge was very responsive to our queries. Overall, we highly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to return should we visit Chengdu again.

Strategic location with a lovely view of Tai Koo Li. The housekeeper was responsive, and our 3-night stay was comfortable. We’ll definitely book again when visiting Chengdu.

If you want to be near Taikoo li and shop at gucci and hermes then this is a great location. Super high end shops with even higher prices are steps away. The apartment building is pretty run down with poorly done repairs. The apartment itself was clean on the surface but has worn dirty carpet and a worn dirty sofa. There is no smart toilet and the hotwater has limitations. Overall the pictures do not represent the current state of the apartment. There is no 24hr front desk, there is no front desk at all. You need to wait in the lobby of the building (show in attached pictures) and message the cleaner and she will come and get you. There is nothing on the building or in the lobby indicating the apartment name so its difficult to find the correct location. For food delivery you have to go to the lobby and pick it up there The cleaner was vwry responsive and answered within a few minutes. If your a foreign tourist, you are probably better off in a hotel and if you are not interested in very hi end shopping you are probably better off in a different area of Chengdu.
