Breathing taking! Breakfast is great. And there are deers in the resort. Imagine waking up with deers outside your room. Deers are friendly too.

Beautiful scenery, good breakfast. They upgraded us to a better room and got some mid-autumn gift.

We have lunch and dinner at the hotel which are both very nice. Breakfast is also good with fresh veggies and healthy stuff. The place is well kept and is actually part of the summer palace at Chengde. The only downside is that, even though the hotel is more than 90% empty, we are given room on the ground floor which people can see you very easily.

Hotel is beautiful and the service was top notch. Upon arrival, the front desk let us know that the room we had booked online didn’t have a great view, so they automatically upgraded us for free, without my even having to ask. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and relaxing. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was an elegant array of Chinese dishes along with a few western options. Location is ideal—within walking distance to the Summer Mountain Resort and restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this as a high-quality hotel for a stay in Chengde.

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location within the Chengde Imperial Resort, which was ideal for my visit. It bis an easy walk into the town with many shops and restaurants in close proximity. The hotel is beautiful with its historical architecture. The room I had was large and comfortable and had all the amenities that I needed. The staff were very attentive and helped me organise taxis to visit the outer temples and to the station when I left. An excellent buffet breakfast was included in my stay and the restaurant staff were very helpful.

Imperial Mountain Resort Chengde is within walking distance of the UNESCO Mountain Resort, super convenient. It is also close to the old town with many restaurants. The staff is very helpful and polite. The breakfast serves mainly Chinese food but is of good quality. There are nice courtyards for relaxing walks, frequented by a few deer.

Nice stay close to the main tourist attractions of Chengde. Gives the ambience like you live in the summer residence. Rooms are renovated and have all necessary amenities. Though the walls are a little thin. We were woken up both morning by loud voices in the corridor (other guests or cleaning staff). Breakfast is Chinese and not served as buffet during off-season. I would consider it rather basic but good quality. Highlights are the deers roaming around the hotel area freely.

Being a part of Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort, the hotel is one of Emperor Qianlong's 36 scenic spots of Chengde (#6). The hotel itself has a lot of historical value, not only the building but the garden areas. The tree in the middle of the compound is 300 years old and has been here since the beginning. Pro: location is one of the best if you're looking to visit Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort (500m away from the front gate), the rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Con: one downside is that the breakfast buffet area, the facilities are dated and the breakfast options are geared towards more Chinese style breakfast, no Western continental breakfast here so come prepared.
