Innanzitutto, dovevamo depositare i bagagli alle 10:00, una volta arrivato il treno a Gubeikou, e sono stati felicissimi di farci entrare in camera/depositare i bagagli così presto. Poi ci hanno stupito con la loro ospitalità. Ci hanno dato il loro contatto così da poterci accompagnare all'alloggio dalla base del sentiero Jinshanling a fine giornata. Ci hanno anche fatto un upgrade della camera. Ci hanno consigliato un ristorante eccellente e a buon prezzo per cena (dall'altra parte della strada). Hanno prenotato un'auto per portarci alla base della parete alle 03:20 per l'alba. La camera era bellissima, pulita e i letti comodissimi dopo una giornata trascorsa a camminare sulla parete.

UUtente ospiteThis is my second time at Aranya, and I have to say, it is a beautiful, tranquil resort. The room had wonderful energy and was very very clean. We booked the private hot springs room and we're blown away at how clean and spacious and premium the experience was. The staff were always courteous and were always available to help us with our requests. My Chinese is poor, however they made sure to help communicate and take me to the convenience store for my items and picked me back up. Their Ramen is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. It is a wonderful establishment and I will definitely be back soon.

Lli lianIl nostro soggiorno è stato molto piacevole. La posizione era perfetta. Appena fuori dall'ingresso della biglietteria per accedere alla Grande Muraglia di Jinshanling. La famiglia è stata molto accogliente e la camera era pulitissima e progettata con cura. La camera sembrava appena ristrutturata. Era una camera molto accogliente. La colazione era buona, calda e con porzioni abbondanti. È possibile ordinare anche la cena e il cibo fatto in casa era delizioso. Il proprietario ci ha anche dato un passaggio a Gubei per un prezzo molto ragionevole. Mi piace molto questo posto e mi piacerebbe tornarci.

UUtente ospiteThe lobby was fancy and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly, even though they didn't speak any English Check-in as a foreign was hassle-free. The breakfast buffet was typical Chinese hotel breakfast food, just normal, but lacking in fresh fruit. It's close enough to the Mountain Scenic area to walk. I have two complaints, though. I had a windowless room, and it smelled awful inside, and the ventilation fan didn't help get rid of the smell. Also, the shower door wouldn't close all the way, so it left a huge puddle on the bathroom floor every time I took a shower. It was uncomfortable taking a shower while trying to hold the door shut as much as possible, too. The room was clean, when I checked in, though, and cleaned daily. I could hear some noise from guests in other rooms, like loud talking and toilets flushing. It would definitely be better if I had gotten a room with windows, to help get that smell out. It's easy to walk along the river from this hotel's location, though.

UUtente ospiteI stayed in this place for two nights off season (at the beginning of April 2023) for a hiking weekend. The price was very fair (159 RMB per night) for a room with two beds and private bathroom, without meals. The restaurant was not open yet but the lady of the house offered to buy me breakfast and did drive me to a nearby restaurant for dinner (supermarket and restaurants are around the corner, 5-10min walking). The room was spacious and superclean with modern facilities and a reliable internet connection. The floor heating is helpful during still colder days and nights. The surrounding hilly landscape and rural countryside with endless meadows, fields, tiny villages, farmers, and an abundance of sheep, cattle, horses, donkeys, pigs, birds, and other farm animals is beautiful for hiking and horse riding, also outside the main season.

UUtente ospiteStayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

LLEEPKJOL'unico hotel all'interno della Grande Muraglia di Jinshanling. Accanto all'ingresso della biglietteria e della stazione della funivia. Un solo ristorante cinese che serviva colazione, pranzo e cena. I prezzi del cibo sono ragionevoli e le porzioni abbondanti. La camera è come in foto. Abbiamo due camere, una con vista sul parcheggio e una sulla montagna. Non c'è vista sulla Grande Muraglia perché è nascosta dietro la montagna.
Il servizio è eccellente, offrono un servizio di prelievo dal centro turistico e dall'ingresso est. Siamo andati a piedi dal centro verso est e li abbiamo contattati tramite WeChat per venirci a prendere da lì. Al momento del check-out, ci hanno detto che volevamo andare in un ristorante vicino al centro turistico e hanno fatto il possibile per portarci lì invece di scendere direttamente al centro turistico.
Il personale è estremamente cordiale. Li ho visti cercare 4 ospiti che avevano cenato al ristorante la sera prima e che avevano speso 100 yuan. La mattina dopo, quando eravamo lì per colazione, hanno controllato se ci eravamo seduti al tavolo per cena la sera prima. Stavano ancora cercando gli ospiti per restituire i soldi. Super onesti!
Tuttavia, la pulizia potrebbe essere migliorata, il ventilatore a soffitto era super polveroso. Dietro l'hotel, accanto all'ingresso della Grande Muraglia, ci sono anche alcuni ristoranti contadini e mingshu.

L'atmosfera è assolutamente fantastica ed è un bel posto per rilassarsi con molte attività da fare, anche se sfortunatamente abbiamo trascorso solo una notte qui perché avevamo programmato solo di fare un'escursione a Jin Shan Ling, ma torneremo sicuramente per altre cose il prossimo round!
Il servizio e l'ospitalità sono di prim'ordine e assolutamente grato di avere un personale così gentile che era super cordiale e caloroso. L'hotel era vicino a Jin Shan Ling (a circa 5 minuti di macchina) e si sono persino offerti di accompagnarci e venirci a prendere avanti e indietro dall'hotel e da Jin Shan Ling. All'interno dell'hotel, erano preoccupati che avessimo freddo, quindi ci hanno trasportato nella nostra camera dato che la nostra camera era a pochi minuti a piedi, e ci hanno portato dalla nostra camera all'atrio quando volevamo uscire nelle loro aree relax lì che si trasformavano sarà davvero rilassante.
Servivano pasti super sontuosi tra cui un set di pentole calde che era ottimo per l'inverno e ci hanno persino offerto piatti gratuiti come parte del solstizio d'inverno.
Uno dei membri dello staff, di nome Henry Zhang, ci ha fatto fare un giro nel loro centro espositivo mostrando le varie aree panoramiche di 四季山, 金山岭 e 北京城! Abbiamo apprezzato la condivisione della sua esperienza e la spiegazione ai vari siti di attrazione, abbiamo apprezzato il dolce gesto dato che in realtà non doveva farlo ma lo ha fatto!
La camera era assolutamente fantastica e spaziosa, estremamente pulita e confortevole con stufe all'interno dei bagni, il che era super bello. È stata una buona notte di riposo per noi.
La colazione era composta da piatti locali, anch'essi ottimi e super abbondanti (panini, uova, porridge, bastoncini di pasta, piatti freddi speciali).
Tutto sommato, non abbiamo avuto lamentele dal momento in cui abbiamo effettuato il check-in, l'esperienza ci è piaciuta moltissimo e ci ha fatto venire voglia di prenotare di nuovo presto un altro viaggio qui!
