Cheltenham: hotel con bar

First room we checked into hadn’t been cleaned. Second room was fine but the hotel is kind of old and had lots of stains on the carpet and furniture, and the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Staff was nice.

L'hotel è datato e i piani sono incredibili ovunque. Mi sento un po'come quando i vecchi si prendono cura di casa. Ma il personale era eccellente, ognuno di loro. Stavo in una doppia suite... abbastanza bello ma non è una suite.Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante Lakeside sul sito che era buono e ragionevolmente prezioso ma era freddo nella stanza e il cibo ci ha messo degli anni per arrivare... anche se avevo solo una salata Caesar !! Comunque, abbiamo deciso di non disturbare il colazione, ma di controllare e di accedere era innocente. Il club spa/divertimento era semplicemente disgustoso.La piscina era fredda, cambiando le camere “snug” e le stanze erano terribili.

Abbiamo prenotato un hotel per una notte. Il prezzo iniziale sembrava piuttosto buono, ma era piuttosto annoiante scoprire che c'era una mancanza di trasparenza. Non hanno menzionato che il parco auto aveva un costo aggiuntivo di 7 sterline. Inoltre, al Trip.com, il colazione era disponibile per un extra £14, e si affermava che i bambini di età inferiore a quattro anni mangiavano gratuitamente. Quando la receptionista chiese se volevamo colazione, abbiamo detto che decideremmo di mattina, e lei non ha menzionato nulla di più, ma abbiamo scoperto che il colazione costa 16 sterline. Se avessimo deciso la notte prima, sarebbe stato 13 sterline, ma hanno anche chiesto un'ulteriore 5 sterline per i bambini. Inoltre, il ricevitore non era molto amichevole. Anche la piscina era chiusa.

Buon hotel, il servizio è anche molto caldo, il paesaggio dell'hotel è molto buono, ci sono molte rotte di viaggio intorno

We booked 4 rooms for a family celebration at this hotel. The place looks great from the outside and the Japanese bar is also nice. The issue is that the rooms are just not good enough. We had one good one out of 4. Our other rooms were in attics with the bathrooms upstairs and a tiny bedroom space. In fact the room was so small that we couldn’t open an ironing board to press our clothes and there was nowhere to put the cases out of the way. When we asked for an alternative room, we were TOLD in no uncertain terms that it was not possible. Our room was too hot and we had to open the window at night but then couldn’t sleep as the outdoor bar was below with loud music. We just could not recommend it for a comfortable stay. A couple of nice touches, like robe and slippers but the room quality was frankly poor. Breakfast was interesting and nice but was not included in our tariff. It feels like every inch of the indoor and outdoor space has been monetised and very little thought given to customer service or comfort.

We went to celebrate a special birthday with friends and overall we had a wonderful time. A very warm welcome from the reception team. They showed us to our room (Brocklebank) and parked the car. Brockleybank is a large, top floor suite. On entering you have a decent size lounge area, with sofa and armchairs. The rest of the suite is laid out in an L shape, with the bedroom being at the other end, with views overlooking the front of the hotel. It has two bathrooms, one with a bath the other with a shower. The room is in the eves of the hotel, there are some low ceilings and wooden beams to look out for. All in all a very pleasant room, not cosy, and missing a few more colourful touches, but all in all a nice suite to stay in. We met our friends in the bar. Ordered a bottle of Taittinger Champagne. First glass was poured then nothing. We sat there with empty glasses and three people, including the barman walked past and no one noticed or offered to top up our glasses. I personally find this very poor service. It was not like they were busy, only one other couple in the bar!!! Finally we gave up and poured our own champagne for the rest of our time there. We also had to ask for nibbles, crisps, olives and nuts. These were served in very small bowls, (and there were four of us) sadly at not small prices. We had booked dinner in the Atrium. So we met in the bat for drinks. This time a very helpful, friendly barman looked after us and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. All credit to him. Dinner was exceptionally good. The food was imaginative, well presented and each of the dishes explained. We also chose the Wine Flight. At £97 per person it was not cheap but again the choice of wines was well mated to each of the dishes. Back to the bar for a nightcap and excellent service from the bar man. Breakfast the next day was a mixture of buffet along with ordering from a menu. The buffet was good however, I would say they could improve the quality and size of the croissants. Very small and somewhat dry, when you put a knife into them they imploded into flakes of pastry. English breakfasts looked good. The smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs was also good, if a little stingy on the Smokes Salmon. We had also booked afternoon tea. Which was a very pleasant experience. Good choice of sandwiches, a tart as well as the usual scones, cakes etc., All in all a very pleasant stay.

What a lovely dinner we had last night visited 28th sept. There was as 6 of us we all had an amazing time food was incredible definitely recommend. Are amazing waiter called Molly was not only 5 stars she was 10 stars. Tom was great as well serving are wine to us. The bar was incredible as well serving us some amazing cocktails. Shout out to Simon for the whisky knowledge. We will be back. Thankyou

La stanza non è grande, ma il personale di servizio è molto entusiasta, la luce è molto calda, il letto è molto comodo, è vicino alla scuola Clc, è un buon alloggio con i bambini, è anche vicino alla piazza del negozio, da Cheltenham Spa a 20 minuti a piedi all'hotel ．
