Casa Blue Star

The room was nice as most of the facilities. It was really good to have a fridge inside the room. Breakfast was really good. Tried to contact them multiples times by phone because it’s not easy to arrive at the property but no one asks. Actually when we arrived we saw why: most of the time there’s no one at the reception and we saw the phone rings many times without no one there to ask.

Our venture to explore the magical and beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen started with a wonderful warm welcome at Casa Blue Star Hotel. The hotel is set amongst beautiful blue buildings with an amazing rooftop terrace, which provides an awe inspiring view of the Riff Mountains. We were greeted by Ghasan, a very warm, polite, friendly and helpful member of staff. Ghasan kindly allowed us to check in earlier than the allocated time and even made us a delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. Ghasan is very knowledgeable and kindly gave us a tour of the roof top terrace and informed of us the great things to do in Chefchaouen. We drove to Chefchaouen from Fes, which was a 4 hour journey. The hotel location provides free convenient road side parking. A stones throw from the hotel. The hotel boasts beautiful character and reflects the Blue Pearl City of Morroco. In both its warm welcome, exceptional hospitality and endless charm. We stayed in room number 4 and it was a beautiful studio, very spacious with a lounge area and a kitchenette. The room is impeccably clean and the decor is very moorish and has striking blue themed bohemian elegance. The air conditioning in the room was fabulous, as we had travelled in June when the temperatures were high. The hotel is walking distance to all the main attractions including the Medina, Kasbah museum and the Spanish Mosque. Ghasan recommended the walking trail to see the sunset at the Spanish mosque, which was very serene. There are ample food places and some great rooft top restaurants, within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel can provide a cooked dinner with notice, which is very convenient. The breakfast provided was outstanding, all cooked fresh and the mesmen was the best I have had. The breakfast setting was beautiful in the rooftop terrace and the breakfast hosts were friendly, helpful and courteous. There is the option to sit outside on the terrace or within the beautiful terrace room. We highly recommend a stay at Casa Blue Star, for those seeking a journey to explore the delights of Chefchaouen. Casa Blue Star ticks all the boxes for us and we hope others enjoy this fabulous first class hotel.

Hemos dormido dos noches. Las habitaciones muy cuidadas, todo muy limpio. El dueño muy amable. El desayuno en la terraza muy rico. Estábamos en la habitación 1 que es un poco oscura al estar en la primera planta pero no se han oído nada de ruidos y en verano puede ser una buena opción ya que creo que va a ser de las más frescas.

Cuando llegamos nos alojaron en una habitación que era correcta pero sencilla y nada que ver con otros alojamientos que habíamos visitado en Marruecos. Pero olía mucho a tuberías. Lo comentamos y nos pasaron a otra habitación familiar (aunque éramos solo dos) bastante más bonita y con vistas. El desayuno algo justo. Nuestro peor alojamiento en nuestra semana por Marruecos.

Le Casa Blue Star est idéalement placé, un petit déjeuner copieux, les repas délicieux et les chambres très propres. Cerise sur le gâteau : la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique !!! Seul reproche : la wifi est médiocre, connexion possible uniquement à proximité de la porte.
